As much as I love ace Peter I gotta say I've been thinking about his freaky time with Gilderoy and how it would look like... If he wasn't ace, ofc.
I mean, Gilderoy giving him so much praise and making him comfortable in his own skin??? Giving him validation??? Peter deffo has a praise kink, and he's a bottom. I don't make the rules.
But also with my beloved ace Peter it would be like... Very confusing for Gilderoy. I don't know, just a thought I had at this moment. I need to think more about their relationship Couse I'm hooked

Chapters: 1/1
Summary:
"Uh-uh, no way, it's just words, dude. They haven't actually hurt me. Mr. Stark has enough on his plate to be bothered by pointless teen drama."
Ned points at the phone again, "This isn't 'pointless teen drama'! This is bullying, actual bullying. All of those cheesy anti-bullying commercials are based on shit like this."
Peter is being cyberbullied. He didn't think it was anything to worry about, but he quickly learns that words can hurt too.
I know I keep saying the same things about the same people, but I just love these writers because theyāre so amazing and so good at what they do! @baloobird seriously nails the Ace!Peter trope every time she writes it and I absolutely love it! Thank you for your amazingness! <3 <3Ā
the latest installment (third one iāve written but technically second in sequential order) of my ace!peter series (can be read as a standalone)Ā

The first time Peter came out to Ned, he was fourteen and, so it had seemed, hopelessly in love.
Iām bisexual, heād said, and Ned had looked away from whichever Star Wars movie theyād been watching to stare at him.
Iām bisexual, heād said, and Ned had smiled and high-fived him and thanked Peter for trusting him enough to tell him.
Iām bisexual, heād said, and Ned had accepted it with no second thought. No questions asked, other than whether he was out to anyone else or not (to which the answer was a hard no). Simple as that.Ā
The second time Peter comes out to Ned, he is sixteen and not so hopelessly in love.Ā
Itās not simple anymore.Ā
Thereās more pieces at play this time. Things are more...delicate, now, because it doesnāt just affect Peter. As soon as he says what he needs to say out loud, everything will change. Their relationship will change, the way Ned looks at him will change, the expectations for their future will change.
Maybe heās being dramatic, but this could be the thing that ruins them.Ā
Heās definitely being dramatic. Ned would never break up with him because of this, theyāre too good together.
Right?
Right. He has to be right.
Heās been trying to find the right time to tell Ned for weeks. Itās four months into their relationship, four weeks since he came out to himself, three weeks since he came out to Tony, and all the while, the anxietyās been eating at him. Heās stressed. Heās so incredibly stressed, and heās pretty sure Ned can tell.
āBabe, I can hear you thinking.ā
Heās one hundred percent sure Ned can tell.Ā
āSorry,ā Peter says quickly, clumsily spinning his pencil between his fingers. Heās supposed to be doing his homework, but his focus is elsewhere. āI just...have a lot on my mind.ā
āSpider-Man stuff?ā Ned asks, eyes sparkling with excitement even now, so many months after the accidental reveal.Ā
He could say yes. He could just say yes and make up some story about a robbery or a mugging or, better yet, an Avengers mission - because he goes on those now - and that would be that. The conversation would be over, and Peter could go back to pretending to do his homework and stressing.Ā
āNo,ā he says, because he has to. Because if he doesnāt do this now, itāll be another four weeks before he finds the courage to even think about telling Ned again. He canāt handle another four weeks of being this scared.
Heās gotten used to being scared over the years, but this is a different type of fear. Itās different than his secret identity fear. Itās different than his patrolling fear. Itās different, even, than all the other variations of his coming out fear, of which heās discovered many.
(Itās most similar, he thinks, to his fear of not being good enough. That oneās been here for as long as he can remember and no matter what he does, he canāt seem to get rid if it.)
Ned didnāt look at him any different the first time, but Peter knows that he will this time.Ā
He could just not tell him. He could just pretend for the rest of his life, and let Ned continue to believe his boyfriend is perfectly normal.Ā
Tony says he is perfectly normal. Says Peterās not allowed to think heās not.Ā
Peterās usually pretty good at following rules, but heās still working on that one. He knows - rationally, logically, he knows - but sometimes the word damaged still rings in his ears and he forgets.
āPeter?āĀ
Ned is looking at him weird. Heās been quiet too long, missed whatever his boyfriend was saying.Ā
He puts his pencil down. āHuh?ā
āAre you okay?ā Ned asks, and his concern is practically etched into his forehead.
Great. His stress is stressing Ned out.Ā
Really, Peter should have expected him to know something was off. The two of them have always been so in tune with each other, since long before they kissed in Nedās bedroom over a half-built set of Legos, that they have practically a sixth sense.Ā
Ned knows him too well. No matter how good of a show he puts on, he always sees through it. Every time, without fail.Ā
(Although, truth be told, heās not a very good liar anyway.)
āI, uh -ā Peter rubs circles into the inside of his left wrist with his thumb. His head hurts, the gentle pulse of anxiety thrumming behind his eyes. And he has to do this now, he has to rip the bandaid off, or else the pulse will never fade. āNed, I -ā
āAre you breaking up with me?ā Ned interrupts, and heās joking, sort of, mostly, but thereās a glint of real worry under the teasing.
Okay, what?
āWhat?ā Backwards. Thatās so backwards. Nedās worried about Peter breaking up with him, while Peterās been expecting the reverse for weeks. āNo - no, of course not!ā
Heās too far away. Theyāre too far away from each other to have this conversation, with Peter at his desk and Ned sitting cross-legged on the bed, and heās itching to hold his boyfriendās hand. He slides off his chair and moves to join Ned on the bed, scooting forward so tat their knees touch.
Peter reaches out to take Nedās hands in his - Ned doesnāt protest, but his nerves do show in the way his shoulders shift - and sits up just the tiniest bit straighter.
āOkay. Okay, weāre - weāre doing this,ā Peter says, mostly to himself. Nedās fingers tighten around his, and heās fairly sure itās involuntary. āNed. My angel. Thereās...something I need to tell you.ā
Nedās eyes still have that oh god, heās breaking up with me look. Itās an awful look.
This is...not exactly how he thought this was going to go.Ā
Firmly, earnestly, he says, āI am not breaking up with you. Iād never, okay? But - but you might want to break up with me after this.ā
āI - why would -ā
Peter kisses him, gently. Lingeringly. When he pulls back, Ned is quiet, his eyes still half-closed and the worry lines in his forehead blissfully smooth.
He wonders if he made it worse for himself by putting it off. Wonders if it wouldāve been easier had he just bit the bullet and told him four weeks ago, as soon as heād realized. Wonders if Ned shouldāve been the first person he told, whether he was ready or not.
Wonders if, maybe, he owed it to Ned to tell him first and fucked that up just as surely as heās going to fuck up their relationship.
No. No, thatās not right.Ā
He wasnāt ready then, and nothing wouldāve made this conversation harder than starting it prematurely.
He wasnāt ready then, but heās ready now.
Peter takes a deep breath -
(In. Out.
Everythingās going to be fine.
He can do this.)
- and, all in one go, says, āIām asexual. And maybe you know what that means, but maybe you donāt, so in case you donāt...it means I donāt experience sexual attraction and I donāt really...get the whole concept of finding people sexy and I - I donāt want to have sex, with - with you or anyone.Ā
āI know it changes things, so I understand if this means you want to break up. I - Iām sorry I didnāt tell you when we first started dating, but I only just realized recently and -ā
āPeter, baby, breathe.ā
Peter sucks in a breath so harsh it burns as Ned rubs his thumbs, lightly, across his knuckles - a way of calming him down that Nedās been using since long before they got together.
Heās smiling. Nedās smiling this soft, fond little smile, and thereās so much affection in his eyes, so much adoration, that Peter canāt believe he ever thought Ned would dump him over this.
āHi,ā Ned says softly, once Peterās breathing steadily again, releasing one of his hands to carefully tuck a stray lock of hair behind Peterās ear before giving his hand back. āPete - alright, first of all, thank you. Thank you for telling me, thank you for trusting me with this, just - thank you.ā
Peterās not tearing up. Heās not.
He didnāt cry last time, with Tony - not really, at least - and heās not going to cry this time. Heās not going to cry because itās not sad, and at this point, he doesnāt have tears to spare on things that arenāt sad.
He nods jerkily. Ned squeezes his fingers and continues, āSo, just to make sure Iāve got this right - you donāt wanna have sex, like, ever?ā
Another shaky nod.Ā
āLike, ever,ā he confirms.
āOkay,ā Ned says, and thereās nothing in his voice that even implies that itās not. āOkay, then we wonāt have sex.ā
Itās so matter-of-fact, like another answer never even crossed his mind. Like another answer doesnāt even exist in his book.
Donāt cry. Donāt cry. Donāt cry.
āNed, I - I canāt ask you to -ā
āYouāre not asking.ā Nedās tone leaves no room for argument. āIām telling you, Peter - if you donāt want to, then we wonāt. Simple as that.ā
Simple.
Peter opens his mouth, but nothing comes out except this odd stuttery noise that he thinks is the beginning of...something. Something that doesnāt seem to have an end. Or a middle, for that matter.
The way Nedās looking at him now is the same way Ned looked at him twenty minutes ago. The same way Ned looked at him four months ago. The same way Ned looked at him two years ago.
He might cry. Heās trying really hard not to, but heās teetering.
āI donāt ever want to do anything that makes you uncomfortable.ā Ned lets go of him entirely this time to link his hands across the back of Peterās neck. His fingers tangle in the hair at the base of his head. āI love you, Peter, and in terms of importance, that beats out literally everything else. Iām with you for you, baby, not for sex. Or, just to cover all our bases here, for Spider-Man. Or for anything else you can think of thatās not my best friend and boyfriend, Peter Benjamin Parker.ā
Best friend and boyfriend. Ned always puts best friend first, always says that the best thing about them is the fact that they were best friends first. That theyād loved each other in a million ways already, so when they fell in love, that number just became a million and one.
The bed creaks as Peter tilts forward to press his face into Nedās shoulder. He lets his eyes flutter shut and twists his fingers into the front of his boyfriendās t-shirt. Wetly, muffled in his sleeve, he says, āI love you too, Ned.ā
He promised he wouldnāt cry, but the wet spot forming on Nedās shirt is telling him he broke that promise.
āSo this means youāre...itās ābiromanticā, right? Instead of ābisexualā?ā
The question itself isnāt funny, but Peter still huffs a choked laugh, because of course thatās what he asks. Not the things he was actually scared Ned would ask (How would you know if youāve never tried it? Canāt you just fake it?), just...just whether heās got the terminology right or not.
āYeah, thatās right,ā Peter says, and god, he loves this boy. He loves him more than he ever thought he could love someone, more than he ever thought he had the capacity to love someone.Ā
Nedās fingers run up and down Peterās spine, tingling all the way down to his toes. He gives a contented sigh. āSweet. Got it.ā
Thereās something else he wants to ask, he can hear it in the hitch of his boyfriendās voice.
Heās fully prepared to wait, but itās not long before Ned says, āHey, I - I have to ask...I know itās different for everyone, I know that sometimes itās not just sex, itās other types of - of intimacy -ā
Not quite what he mightāve expected, but the question isn't surprising, not at all. Now that itās been asked, Peter knows he wouldāve wondered the exact same thing if the tables were turned.
Pulling back, Peter sits up straight and places his hands on Nedās knees, making him stop mid-sentence. Waits just a second for his boyfriendās eyes to meet his, then, in as firm a voice as he can muster, tells him, āAnything that weāve already done is okay, Ned. Better than okay. Nothing youāve ever done, nothing weāve ever done, has made me uncomfortable, alright? Never.ā
Ned exhales, and his relief is palpable. āGood. Okay, good, Iām glad.ā
Peter kisses the tip of his nose. Ned laughs, face scrunching up automatically, and playfully shoves Peterās shoulder before his expression sobers quickly. āBut Peter?ā
āYeah?ā
āThis means you have to tell me when something does make you uncomfortable. I donāt want you forcing yourself to do things you donāt want to do because you think...you think you owe me or something.ā
Peter starts to speak, but Ned shushes him and his mouth snaps shut.Ā
āBabe, I need you to promise that youāll talk to me.ā Ned takes his hands again - this time with palms facing Peter, fingers laced together, and elbows resting on his knees so their hands sit in the space between their chests. āWhatever it is, however disappointed you think Iāll be, I want you to promise me that youāll tell me if I do something you donāt like. Promise me that youāll tell me if I suggest something you know you wonāt like. I canāt read your mind, Peter, as cool as having telepathy would be, which means you have to tell me when you donāt like something so I know what not to do.ā
āNed -ā
āPromise me.ā
āOkay!ā Peter leans forward to rest his forehead against Nedās, then lowers his voice to say again, āOkay, angel. I promise.ā
They meet in the middle in a soft kiss, lips slotting together perfectly, like they were always meant to.Ā
āAnd if you want to have a real talk about boundaries,ā Peter whispers when they break, hovering just inches apart, āwe can have that. Another time, though, if thatās okay.ā
He feels him smile more than he sees it. āOf course itās okay. Whatever you need, Petey.ā
āYouāre amazing,ā Peter says, pressing another kiss to Nedās lips, āand I love you.āĀ
Ned squeezes his hands one last time. āI love you too. Until the sun swallows the earth.ā
Peter grins against his mouth. āUntil the sun swallows the earth.ā
And somehow, despite all the complications and obstacles and hurdles, despite everything, thatās all that matters.

no cops at pride, just spiderman by tempestaurora
Tony looked over at Peter. āIām getting the hint you want me to go to Pride,ā he said, his eyes lit up with fond amusement.
āItās not that I want you to go to Pride,ā Peter replied, as casually as he could. āItās just that I think youād have fun at Pride, especially if you went with me.ā
āAnd why would wandering around in the disgusting New York summer heat, in the middle of a crowd of sweaty people, buying food with a two-hundred percent mark up in price be more fun with you?ā
Peter smiled. āBecause you wonāt be with me. Youāll be with Spiderman.ā
Peter and Tony attend the Pride parade as Spiderman and Iron Man. They have a good day.

my brain takes a vacation just to give my heart more room by MayWilder
āMr. Starkā¦when I came back, and you were waiting on Titanādo you remember what you said?ā
āI do.ā Tonyās hands on his shoulders get just that much tighter. They donāt talk about Titan. āI told you that I loved you, and I was sorry I didnāt say it sooner.ā
āAnd you mean that?ā Peter asks. He knows Tony isnāt like other men his age, that heās accepting and loving and always looking ahead, but thereās a little bit of the fear that comes with telling someone his age about sexuality. āYou love me like a son?ā
Tony swallows. When he speaks, his voice is thick. āI do, Pete. Youāre my kid, plain and simple.ā
That thought itself is terrifying, but Peter goes on. āAnd you would still choose me as your kid, even ifā¦even if I was bi?ā
