I understand why people used to believe that maggots manifested abiogenically out of rotting meat. The same phenomenon is responsible for the manifestation of tiny hairs and abnormally large clumps of dirt underneath every single piece of clear tape I use to seal an envelope. Doesn't matter how careful I am or how well I clean every surface, as soon as the tape goes down some gunk magically appears. The hairs I could maybe understand, I am a mammal after all, but the dirt/crumbs/whatever are an enigma.

Made primordial soup for dinner, and while I was in the middle of eating, it did abiogenesis and the new creature immediately started eating my fuckin soup
