I love them all. I want them all. It’s so hard to justify those prices. I have 60,000 yen left in my budget, so I theoretically could do it. But man, is that expensive. Especially for toys that were originally claw machine prizes.

Sleep headcanon

Abel does not trust anyone else, besides Abyss, enough to fall asleep near them. It’s for this reason that he bribed the dormitory office into giving him a private dorm room even before he earned it by becoming Prefect.

Sad headcanon

Abel isn’t comfortable showing any depression or grief. He isn’t comfortable feeling it either. To prevent himself from really having to feel it fully, Abel escapes into daydreams and imagination, into playing pretend, or just as often, into plans and plots and things he can physically do. By throwing himself into the whole Divine Visionary plan, it was a way for Abel to have to avoid fully ever feeling his grief and sadness.

Happy headcanon

Only a few people have seen Abel’s real smile, the one he shows when he’s truly filled with joy. It’s a toothy smile, wide, but a little crooked, his eyes squint shut a little, and he makes a little contented sound, low and rumbly, in his throat.

Angry/violent headcanon

Abel can hold grudges. Oh boy, can this boy hold grudges. When someone makes Abel angry, he will always remember it. Even after time has passed and most of the anger has faded, even after Abel has mostly forgiven them, he will hold the grudge. Abel doesn’t get violently angry, or at least, it takes a whole lot to get him there, but he can be petty in holding onto even small little angers for a long, long time.

Sex headcanon

Abel, to me, is one of those guys who would find the idea of a sex doll to be a huge turn-on. The ideal, of course, is one of those robotic sex dolls that appear in porn and hentai, but since they don’t yet exist, Abel would enjoy having sex dolls that he then controls with his puppet magic to make them move and react as he wants.

Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon

Weird and nonsensical little headcanon here, but I think Abel really loves accent walls as a decorating choice. He prefers wallpaper over paint, or if it has to be paint, a mural. He wants something that provides a feast for the eyes, while he keeps the rest of the room pretty neutral to allow that accent wall to really pop.

Romantic headcanon

While it’s definitely not healthy, Abel is more romantically attracted to people that have a lot of the traits his mother did or who look or sound like she did. He’s definitely a man with a type.

Family headcanon

Abel was always a Momma’s boy and he has a hard time connecting with his father. There was potential for the two to connect and really lean on each other, emotionally, after Abel’s mother died but unfortunately, it went the opposite way, seeming to further the distance between Abel and his father even more. The two can’t even seem to hold a conversation with each other for longer than fifteen minutes.

Friendship headcanon

Abel does consider the Magia Lupus his friends, even though he’s really bad at saying it and admitting it verbally. There’s a little bit of fear there and that’s why he does hold himself slightly distant from them and why he doesn’t acknowledge the friendship as much as he should. To Abel, every time he’s truly loved another human being, they’ve been taken from him and he worries that will happen to those he fully admits to caring deeply about as friends.

Quirks/hobbies headcanon

Abel collects different playing card decks. He has a huge attraction towards unique or fun novelty decks of playing cards. He has oversized playing card decks, mini decks of cards, cards that are gilded in real gold, playing card decks based around children’s shows he enjoys and such.

Likes/dislikes headcanon

When Abel was a kid, even though it was considered ‘feminine,’ he loved having tea parties with his dolls and stuffed animals. His mother encouraged this and would often join in on the tea parties and make special snacks and tea for it. I think that, when Abel is feeling really sad or really stressed, he holds tea parties for his dolls again and it’s a form of escapism that really makes him so happy.

Childhood headcanon

Abel’s closest playmates, when he was young, were his many cousins. However, after his mother’s death, his father found it too hard to be around his mother’s family in any significant way and Abel lost touch with his cousins. He later regains relationships with them later in his life, when he’s better processed his mother’s death and wants to maintain a closeness to her through her other living family members instead of just a doll.

Old age/aging headcanon

Abel starts losing his hair way before he feels comfortable. He starts balding in his sixties but since he’s rather vain about his hair, he starts using magical potions and methods to keep his hair looking thick and healthy. The amount of magical power he uses to maintain his vanity is a little sad, in a way.

Cooking/food headcanon

Abel’s mother was a vegetarian and raised her son as one. He’s never actually ever tasted meat and he really doesn’t have a desire to do so. He’s more than happy with his plant-based diet. He might be a little preachy, at times, towards those with mainly carnivorous diets, which can definitely be annoying.

Appearance headcanon

Although Abel’s robe has a fur-lined hood on it, he never actually wears it as a hood. He actually hates the feeling of having a hood up over his head. The deeper the hood, the more uncomfortable and claustrophobic it feels to him.

Random headcanon

Although Abel initially started the Magia Lupus and gathered them all simply as tools to achieve his goals, he does actually start to care about all of the members and he continues to take an active interest in their lives even after he graduates. After they’re all graduated, at least once a month, Abel invites every one of the former Magia Lupus members over for a luncheon and cards.
