October 23 to October 29 is Asexual Awareness Week! Happy Ace Week to any ace-spec authors, and happy Ace Week to any ace-spec characters!

From now until the end of October, I am accepting requests for character aesthetics for ace-spec OCs and personal aesthetics for ace-spec writers. I did this once before in 2019, but haven't had the chance to do it again since.

[Requests close at midnight on October 31st, eastern time. I will likely be filling these into November, so please be patient once you’ve submitted!]

To request an aesthetic:

1) Go to my askbox. 2) Submit the info listed below the cut depending on whether you're submitting an OC request or a personal request. 3) Let me know if you have any colors in mind. (If you have no color preference, you don't need to say anything.) 4) Let me know if you specifically do or do not want your or your OC's flag(s) used in the aesthetic. (If you have no preference either way, you don't need to say anything.)

Please limit requests to no more than 3 per person. If you are submitting multiple requests, please submit them in separate asks.

You do not need to be following me to request an aesthetic, however, I will be releasing some discussions on the ace-spec characters from my current WIP throughout the week, if you're interested.

Nice, I get to do both the siblings!!! And Val's a triple threat, love that for them! I did end up with slightly more muted colors than I initially wanted for this board, but I could not find any decent pictures with brighter schemes 😅

I figured the next best thing was to stick to colors that still read as "bright" in lighter shades, and playing with contrasts a bit. Happy with how these turned out, though, so I hope you like them!

This character's name is Riley, and a demiromantic asexual!

Her WIP is currently unnamed, in my brain and tags it's called The Artemis Project.

Riley is the bearer of the bow of Artemis, which means she's a monster hunter. Her aesthetics are very moon-and-star based. Lots of dark blue, violet, black and silver. The plot of the book is her trying to figure out who she is and what she wants to be, while fighting off the villain who's taken her partner Orion's Bow. She's a determined and stubborn person, always getting back up no matter how often she's knocked down. She has a pet/hunting companion in her dog, a stray German Shepherd mix.

Not at all! I really liked doing this a few years back, college just really got in the way for a while 😅 And congrats on figuring yourself out since then, a lot of things start making a lot of sense once you realize. (And yeah, most of my MCs are ace-spec, too, because... Well, accidents.)

There's a version with Riley's flags and a version without. Leaned very heavily into the urban fantasy vibes for this, a lot of dark blues and dark purples. I love me a good monster hunter!!! (And a good doggo of course!)

Princess Sapphire from my wip Fractured Stars Falling is Demisexual.

She's a fiesty and free spirted princess that always has a thirst for wild adventure. She loves exploring the city near the castle, and frolicing in the meadow and woods nearby. She has overprotective parents that try to keep her within the safety of the castle at all times, and they also hired a bodyguard for her (who is head over heels in love with her and who she falls for as well). she has long red hair, pale skin with freckles, dark blue eyes, and is always wearing long and flowy dresses with leather boots.

Name: Theo Identity: nonbinary aroace WIP Title: Call of Shadows More Info: Loves animals, and is knowledgeable about plants. A "flesh mage" (aka, possesses healing magic), and puts it to use as a healer for their town. Autistic. Loves natural colors, especially forest green, and browns. Very cheerful and chatty, but doesn't have many friends. If you let them infodump on you, they will love you forever.

Identity: Either bi-ace or aroace, still trying to figure things out. Interests: Reading, video games, writing. Preferred Genres: Fantasy, and also sci-fi Ideas for Aesthetics: My favorite color is black, and I love the aesthetic of black paired with red. Fantasy aesthetics are my favorites.
