the upside (heh) to being assaulted in college (even though most people around me don’t seem to believe it counts) is that i, personally, can fit those encounters within a box of i was touched/made to do certain acts without safety or consent. but these incidents didn’t and still don’t bother me as much as the possibility that something did happen or might’ve happened before i was equipped to name it and even now all i can do is compare and complain.
