🇺🇸 Creedence Clearwater Revival - "Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits"
When CCR started in December 1967, they had been making music under the name "Blue Velvet" for over eight years. The name "Creedence Clearwater Revival" originated (as a word creation based on English creed, "faith," and credence, "trust") from the first name (Credence) of a friendly work colleague of Tom Fogerty and a beer brand (Clearwater), which advertised among other things with purity. According to Doug Clifford, "Clearwater" should symbolize something deep, true and pure and "Revival" should stand for the new beginning of the band, which according to John Fogerty had produced nothing but "ultra-white Mickey Mouse music." That changed - radically.
Their music is referred to as "bayou rock" or "swamp rock," as the lyrics and recurring themes dealt with rural wisdom. "Proud Mary" then probably set the final direction: Blues & Rock'N Roll - with a proper country impact.
"Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits" is available here in mp3 / m4a format and as a 24bit FLAC file. Of course DRM-Free!
My recommendation: Take the .flac format!
The Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC) is a codec for lossless audio data compression. It is freely available and not limited in its use by software patents. For example, use Metallica .flac to stream their concerts! Any media player that can play mp3's can also handle .flac files. MP3's with 320kbps are usually considered high quality. 24bit.flac starts here around and at 5,500kbps!!! Its more Power! Try it out and your ears will make eyes! And, of course! - DRM-free! Your choice - your music! Have fun & enjoy!
Release date: 30.06.2023
