Tea and book asks: 3, 4, and 16?
3. What do you order at a café?
If I’m at a new place, I usually look for a peppermint mocha, but if that’s not an option, then something with chocolate (with or without coffee) or something with caramel and coffee. I also put a stupid amount of sugar in my coffee, because I’m a baby about bitterness or something.
4. Libraries, botanical gardens, or art galleries?
GOSH I am with you that the question here is: what is the purpose of going, and will I be alone? I love libraries, but if it’s for a day trip or many hours, then I’m going to pick one of the other ones. My M.O. in libraries is browse until I find things I’d like, then check them out and leave. I don’t really hang out in them unless I’m trying to get work done. If it’s a nice day, botanical gardens or zoos generally work out with a wide variety of people in my party. IFF I have people in my party who will stop and look and not mind when I read Every Bit of Info I Can, then and only THEN would I choose art gallery.
16. How do you organize your music playlists?
Oh, gosh I feel like this is gonna get me some shit, but I don’t. When you actually used to have to burn CDs, I would order them SO carefully so that all the transitions WORKED and the styles were not JARRING, but these days...I just throw all the songs I want on a list and then play it on shuffle. My playlists are very...utilitarian? Like, I have one of a bunch of instrumentals or choral music in other languages that I use for working/writing, one called ‘school’ that is all school-safe stuff I can play with kids in my room, a running one, a french jams one...and like, that’s about it. Oh, I have a car one, too!! Which is mostly musicals and disney songs.
