Hi friends, I am Back On My Bullshit and here to ask if anyone has some old SuperWhoLock fanart they want to dig out of storage for Wikipedia purposes, eternal glory, etc. You'll need to be the only author (or have permission from all the authors) and release under a Wikipedia compatible license, the short version of which is that anyone can do anything they want with your work forever as long as they give you credit. (The easiest release is something like "I am the sole author of this work and I release it under CC BY-SA").
I curse you with unshakeable ambitions for textile projects wildly beyond your skill level
hey it's the wincest mpreg {{#switch: {{s/he|rusalkii}} | he = guy | she = gal | #default = unspecified }} and the reason i put the potentially is because you are the mpreg and you are the wincest but i wasn't sure if you've done wincest mpreg and btw this is mr october 24 speaking
I mean I'm not actually into either wincest or mpreg. The articles on wincest does mention mpreg. I think. Y'all can go check, if I reread it I'm going to start fiddling with the phrasing again.
did you ever notify @icedcoolatta when the mpreg article got dyk
Uhhh they found out about this somehow but I don't think it was me. I didn't actually know when they were scheduling it for and didn't watch the queue that carefully so I didn't actually know the day in advance.

hey it's potentially the wincest mpreg guy
not potentially
not a guy
The new xkcd just made me cry

yes hello i recently gave someone an extremely stern warning because they've commited a bunch of textbook vandalism in recent times what should i do if it is to happen again
I'll assume this is a question for the Wikipedia advice column my askbox moonlights as these days.
The short version is, if you've warned them in a way that makes it clear that they'll be blocked if they keep it up, report them to this noticeboard to be blocked by an admin.
The long version is here.
Thank you for the mpreg wiki page I am debating getting this shirt about it

10/10 no notes, do it
@icedcoolatta you might get a kick out of this
so I read Hands of the Emperor and then the entire rest of the series and then also like half the AO3 tag and - okay, so, I clearly liked it, but also I'm having the incredibly disorienting feeling of liking a work of fiction and also having really strong critiques of it, which is not usual for me at all. this might just be "needs an editor" disease, I remember sentences and also speeches in Hands of the Emperor where I distinctly thought she should've cut them off significantly earlier and been less heavy handed , but it's also in the macro structure. At the Feet of the Sun especially really feels like it takes themes from the first book and shoots itself repeatedly in the foot as it tries to - idk, elevating them and by elevating them kind of wreck them?
...anyway I read this and also my tags and it comes across as really critical and I do want to emphasize that I did in fact like these books.
there's the thing where, like, there's a magical force that causes ~coincidence and themes and things to be ~real in the world, and creates sort of fairytaleish elements, and that can be fun, and in the Return of Fitzroy Airefusetospellthissorry it really was, but I was actually really attached to Kip Mdang, ordinary government man, who is extraordinary by virtue of - vision and scope and being very very good at his job and also having arguably a thousand years to do it, not the whole waves hands aggressively at the spoilers for like the whole of Sun

so called free thinkers when they see Football at the 2026 Summer Olympics – Women's tournament
is this about this redirects for deletion discussion??? uh, you have correctly identified me as a person who does redirect stuff on wikipedia but I had exactly nothing to do with that one. I have no idea what you're trying to say tbh but if it's a complaint or question about the outcome there then you can take it to my talk page onwiki? I guess? but if you have found that RfD then you presumably already know that
For reasons and also causes I have recently written the wikipedia article for mpreg and am trying to find an illustration for it. Do I happen to know any fanartists who want to release some (ideally sfw) mpreg art under a wikipedia compatible license* for eternal glory and wikipedia bragging rights?
*the short version is "anyone can do anything they want with your work forever as long as they attribute you". For the long version, look up CC-by-4.0.
@icedcoolatta, could you add something like "I am the author of this image and I release it under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license (CC-BY-4.0)"? or pick you own license from here.
I am the author of this image and I release it under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license (CC-BY-4.0) !
also, characters owned by andrew hussie
@icedcoolatta thank you!! two more questions, sorry: was this the first time you posted this anywhere, and if not when was the first time? (I need "date work was created or first published"). also, which characters are these? I don't strictly need a detailed caption but it'd be nicer
this was first created and posted on Thursday, January 30th, 2025, and these characters are Dad (right) and Pre-Scratch Roxy Lalonde, or Mom (left)

Sometimes spoon theory feels true, i.e. "you have a tight budget of energy for the day, pick your battles, plan for only getting a small amount of productive tasks done and plan for needing a lot of rest breaks". But other times, something like the opposite feels true, what you could maybe call "momentum theory", where getting a task done has an energizing effect and actually makes it feel easier to do another thing, and I have thoughts like "wow I've crossed [number] things off the list and it's not even sundown yet, I'm gonna do [another thing] and see how far I can take this". I especially associate this kind of day with having a productive morning specifically.
Unfortunately they still haven't invented introspection that works. I don't know to what extent either of these framings are true. I know that some days are productive and some aren't, and that most of them aren't. Spoon theory could be true every day, and on the good days I just happen to wake up with a bigger supply of spoons than normal. Momentum theory could be true every day, but most days I just don't happen to get the ball moving convincingly enough, or early enough, to carry myself along, something in the pattern of my daily habits makes it go wrong more often than not. Possibly some days are spoon and some days are momentum, and it's just RNG. Possibly both descriptions oversimplify too much to yield any genuine practical wisdom. The data could fit lots of different possibilities.
They're definitely not just two different ways of looking at the same thing though. If one or the other of these is true (be it in general or just for today), that has consequences for what attitude I should bring to my plans and my behaviour, my approach becomes correct or incorrect depending on which one obtains. However it's probably true that in practice I lean towards thinking in terms of one or the other based mostly on whether I'm more in the mood for the "you have more control over your life than you realize" style of self-help cliché, vs the "be kind to yourself, don't beat yourself up over not being perfect" style of self-help cliché--more than based on any actual insight into how my mind and body works. Difficult to do much more than that perhaps. You know, until they invent that introspection that works.

so the problem - okay, one of many problems - with being a wikipedia editor is that I exist in this deeply inconvenient middle ground where on one hand wikipedia is the standard reference work of our culture, lots of us treat it as pretty close to authoritative, studies show it has an accuracy close or better than standard encyclopedias etc etc etc and also every day I encounter wikipedia articles that are just. truly stunningly horrible in ways that none of you have even dreamed of. and it becomes somewhere difficult to keep both of these concepts in my head without exploding
