The history of this project won an award from the radio program 'Good morning Javi y Mar' and today all the winners have been received in audience by Doña Letizia. During the presentations the Queen offered her hand to the winners, as it’s normally done, but upon reaching Gerardo it was different, as the wife of Felipe VI has bent to receive a huge and spontaneous hug from the Galician . From LOOK we have contacted Javier Pitillas, the companion who leads Discamino with Gerardo and who helped him with his wheelchair during the day today and told us that the 'big moment' starring the Queen has been provoked by Gerardo, who has not hesitated to ask Doña Letizia for permission to hug her. The strength and desire with which Gerardo has embraced the monarch is history. The impetus was such that the mother of Leonor and Sofia had to lift a leg to keep their balance, but far from losing the smile, after the hug everything has continued normally. This has not been Fernandez's first time with the Queen and, when a few months ago he met Don Felipe and Doña Letizia, he also broke the protocol by making the couple laugh out loud.
