There have been times in which I have caught myself staring in the mirror, trying to decipher if all that I hope to accomplish in life will be possible. See, originally, I had a plan. It was a great plan. But the plan I had established to reach success involved the support of another. In hindsight, I now know where my doubt originated. For I made plans for success with someone else and when that went south and sour, the plans I had put in place turned bitter as well. You can’t reach success relying on someone else. I learned the hard way. Now, I’m left with this void in my life that has slowly started to fill with doubt. How can you do something, build something, create something, when half the tools in your box belonged to someone else? You don’t. You throw out the plan, the original blueprint and you start again. The doubt will continue to grow and fester the longer I continue to follow a plan I know I can’t be successful with. It’s about starting over, from scratch, and making a new plan, forging a new path, only this time, using tools from my own box. But to ensure success, I will have to use it to my advantage. I will let the doubt plague me. I will let it linger and hover above me. For others, uncertainty and fear may be detrimental but for me, it will be the biggest motivator to my success and accomplishments. So yes, there is doubt. It’s lingering in the abyss, but I welcome it to stay. To serve as the reminder I need to move forward successfully with the plan I, alone, have crafted.
