It was on Ao3, I know it was completed and I think it was part of a series. I don’t remember all the details but I know it has a famous Eddie where he and Steve had a fight so Steve went for a walk and got assaulted by a fan. Steve had been attacked (?) by Vecna and his organs had melted (that was a specific detail) and had developed a telepathic connection to El so he was able to tell her to contact Eddie. I remember there being a scene where Steve is in the hospital and he’s talking to El in his head and he says he has to stop because a bloody nose during a brain scan would be bad.

I haven’t been able to find this, I’ve tried a bunch of tag variations but nothing has come up. HELP!!!
