Requesting and Finding Guide
A general guide on how to send a request, what to include, and what to do if you found someone's lost fic. Check out the Frequently Lost Fics page.
First, a couple of rules
This is a fic finding blog for finding lost fics. We do not accept requests for fic rec lists. There are other steddie blogs that do that.
Please note that this is a STEDDIE fic find blog, meaning that we only accept requests for steddie fics. "Steddie fics" INCLUDES fics where: steddie is the main focus, steddie is a background or side-ship, steddie are part of a polyamorous relationship with other people. As long as Steve and Eddie are in a relationship in one form or another! If the fic you request turn out NOT to be a steddie fic, we will close the request without posting the fic. Sorry!
There are no other restrictions on the content of fics. We're not here to yuck your yum! However, we will not be tagging warnings on requests. That is the responsibility of the authors of the fics and of you, the reader, to know your limits.
If a fic you are searching for has been deleted by the author, we will close the request. Unless given EXPLICIT permission by the author, we will not provide alternate links or download files.
Hate or negativity towards any fic or author will be ignored and deleted :)
BEFORE YOU SEND A REQUEST
Please take a moment to at least glance at the fics in the #found tag and/or the #seeking tag
WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR REQUEST
These are not requirements, just suggestions. Although, we would ask that you try to have more than one sentence of description.
What platform you read it on
When you read it and/or when it was posted
Any tags you can remember
Characters and relationships that were included
Rating/warnings
Length
Whether or not it was completed
Any specific phrases or sentences that stuck out to you
Whether or not it was multi-chapter or part of a series

AFTER YOU SEND A REQUEST
Consider turning on post notifications for your request once it has been posted, or check back regularly to see if it has been found.
Please keep in mind that your request may not be posted immediately. We get a lot of requests.
YOU FOUND A LOST FIC
Yay! Thanks for taking the time to search!
Do NOT reblog the post or reply to it. Please send an ask.
In your ask, please include the request number, the name of the fic, the author, and the platform it's on. A link to the fic would be nice, but it's not required.
We tag the person who found the fic, so if you would prefer not to be tagged, please send the ask anonymously.
