i saw that you really like the show 911, so want to ask if you think i would like 911 lone star ??
i like the main one ( i really dont know if the one if buck is the main one lol ) and got curious about lone star but i dont know if they have same vibe??
what you think ??!
buck is from the og, and i do like it a lot. overall, i like the early season better, but i do think some things happening in the recent ones were long overdue and i still love the 118. but, i've always found 911 lone star more enjoyable (but being southern, it's also more relatable)
i can't say for sure you'll like it. lone star never gained the popularity 911 has. not sure if most didn't like it, or just never gave it a chance. it does have a different vibe than the og which, to me, lands somewhere between 911 on fox and 911 on abc.
they go over the top with the emergencies and drama (mass casualty sole surviors, volcanic lava, ect) but they also steer into the ridiculousness of it rather than act like it's normal, they have fun with it
they're a (mostly) younger crew, coming together to rebuild and diversify after tragedy, creating more of an instant family than a found one
i absolutely recommend checking it out, but (like the og) it does get better in season two when they bring in a new character. i don't suggest skipping s1, just know it gets even better after it
there's a lot of whump, a lot of love, and so so much comedy. it will leave you gutted and crying sometimes too, but that's part of the fun
9-1-1 Lone Star Zine ⭐
What is a fanzine: A collection of any kind of fan-made creation imaginable! From drawings to fanfics, to collages to crosswords to poetry to moodboards to playlists - etc. Anything creative goes. 💮 Who makes the fanzine?: Everyone that wants to! You?! The idea is that anyone who wants to can create something for any of their favorite 911 Lone Star characters or pairings!
And for those who love to be part of the project, we'd love to get help with organization too. There will be sign-ups for everything. What will it cost?: The prices be determed, but the goal is to cover production of the physical version. Any proceeds collected will go to an LGBTQI+ charity to be announced at a later date. Ultimately, this project is entirely non-profit!
But first of all, we'd need to get enough interest for this! So please vote, reblog and maybe even share this outside of tumblr.

Lowe also discusses the show ending with 'a lot more life in it.'
Five seasons of something that works. it’s very rare. It doesn’t come around all the time. And I end up at the end of the day feeling grateful that I had the opportunity to work with such amazing people and that people liked it as much as they did.
- Rob Lowe
I loved the final…. Go watch the first episode and then this last and wow, I think they tied up everyone’s journeys pretty well and in a beautiful way.
Especially how Owen went to Austin to save his son and rebuild a firehouse, not only doing so but creating a family for tk and for the rest of these beautiful people, then returning to NY when his job was done. 🥹

“I’ll tell you next time I see you, okay?”
Forget about an asteroid, they know that no one, not even the whole universe can keep the apart!
They’re soulmates who love each other no matter what. 🥹❤️
FIC REC ALERT 🚨
Just had to recommend Maybe It’s Time, the newest WIP by the incredible @littlemissmarianna!
It’s already so beautiful and engaging - each chapter pulls you in with such emotional depth and care. Her writing is heartfelt, layered, and she knows these characters so well. TK and Carlos feel incredibly true to form, and the slow unraveling of their story here is both tender and powerful.
Please go read it, leave all the kudos, and don’t forget to comment - authors like her deserve all the love!
I was not ready to say goodbye!
