Today would’ve marked one year with the significant other I loved. But things changed, we went our separate ways. And there is no way of fixing any of this. I tried my best to stay strong, to stay happy. But it hasn’t been fulfilling. I had been in pain for the past month. Crying over him. As he already moved on and is now talking to someone else who makes him happy. I am happy for him; his happiness is all that matters. Even though I never did anything wrong to jeopardize the relationship. I knew we couldn’t live through the same mindset. He hasn’t experienced enough to understand love. But I am glad I was the first girl; to show him what love was, to experience so much with him, and to be given the chance to make him as happy as I could ever be. I thank you, for being in my life, for making me happy, for experiencing this with me, and most of all. I thank you for loving me like no one ever could. If I had never met you, I wouldn’t be the girl I am today. You’ve opened my eyes and showed me that, even the person that I spent 1 year with, can leave without hesitation, without any warning.
