Five: It's not mine.

Diego: Is that supposed to make us feel better?!

Just a quick update. I finally switched from coding the game on the default Notepad to Notepad++, so hopefully there won’t be as many mistakes as there turned out to be in the first version. 

All this update really is is some spelling and grammar that I noticed while going over what I have finished of the prologue, so nothing big.

Diego calling Luther: Wait unblock me I have something to tell you

So my anxiety has been really bad lately, so here's some headcanons about how I've been calming myself down a little.

Luther

Ok so canonically, we know he doesn't really do too well with this sort of thing but this isnt canon and as angry as I am with him I have a hard time saying I hate anyone so....we're gonna play nice.

He's very confused when he first finds you, and his first instinct is to check you for injuries. When he doesn't see any blood it sort of clicks as to whats going on.

I actually think he wouldn't be too bad at helping. Maybe not the best, but still helpful.

He's big on counting breaths.

"It's ok, breathe with me. In for four, out for four, ok? One....two....three....four....."

He'd rub your back in time with the counting too, just to give you an extra anchor point to focus on.

Once you were breathing normally again, I think he would just sit quietly next to you for a while, letting you get your bearings a bit.

Once you were ready, I think he would have you talk through it. He'd listen patiently and nod while you talked through it.

He'd offer help when he could, and support when he didn't know what else to say.

Diego

I think Diego would be a bit less worried than Luther when he finds you. (Yes he's worried of course, but he knows what's happening, and that he needs to remain as calm as possible for you)

He's had to work on his stutter for so long that I think he would have a bunch of tools and methods memorized to help you.

The first one he uses is the count down, if your breathing allows it.

"Ok, you're ok. I'll count, you just look for things, ok? Five things you can see. Ready? Go. ....good....four things you can feel....good job, its ok, three things you can hear....I'm not going anywhere, I'm right here; two things you can smell....deep breaths...almost there...one thing you can taste...good, good job."

(I think he'd keep little bits of your favorite candy on hand for this, and once you were calm enough he'd offer it to you once you got to the last step

If that method didnt work, he'd just move to the next one, sitting in front of you and talking softly, keeping his hands on you to center you.

When it was over he'd hold you close and just let you breathe it out a bit more.

Then he'd ask what you need and what he could do to help you, and he wouldn't hesitate at all to go through with it.

Allison

I think she would see the signs before her brothers did to be honest. She's less likely to "find" you, and more likely to see you sneak off and follow you to make sure you're ok.

As soon as she sees you slip off, she'd either get a glass of ice water or have one of the others bring one to you, depending on how bad it was.

I don't know that she'd really talk much, other than affirmations.

"Shhhh, its going to be ok hun.....I'm right here......shhh, keep breathing...." Just little whispers

I think she'd sit or lay next to you where you could see her and just try to remind you that you weren't alone.

I think it would be really hard for her not to use a rumor to calm you down some days.

Not because she was impatient or annoyed with you, just because she hated to see you hurting and wants nothing more than to help you.

But she doesn't, because she knows that you're making progress and she's so so proud of you and doesn't want to take anything away from that.
