the interesting thing I'm figuring out about number one verse prinxiety as I write them more is that in their professional relationship, Roman is the one for sure calling the shots. Virgil is a solider, a lackey. Don't get me wrong, he has an incredible tactical mind, but at the end of the day, he leans on Roman to make the final choice as to what they're going to do as a business entity. however, in their romantic relationship, Virgil takes on the weight of making decisions and planning things. Roman needs to be able to turn off his brain after a long day of making choices. And Virgil likes being able to provide for him and spoiling the fuck out of him. flowers every week, elaborate date nights, cooking for him every breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Roman doesn't have to think about it when he's with Virgil, letting himself be taken care of, and Virgil doesn't have to make work choices that could seriously harm himself or others, trusting Roman to make the right decisions and lead him. THEY'RE SO MARRIED YOU GUYSSSS JUST UUUGHHHHH

okay number one! twin cannon. Remus like his torture rooms to be dark and dingy and creepy and Roman likes his torture rooms to be stark white and bright and surgical. they're different in that way, and back when it was just them against the world, Remus and Roman would get into squabbles about the best way to torture someone. and once, even had a competition, torturing two different people and taking meticulous notes and making up random markers to hit in order to determine who was better at it. they still argue to this day who won, and Janus and Virgil have silently made a pact not to bring it up at family dinner, lest they get the twins spun up and started again
