I really wish people would stop acting like their subjective OPINIONS about music and art are objective FACTS.
If YOU don't like something, that DOES NOT make it BAD!
No, that song/genre/art-style/etc that you hate is not BAD or CRINGE (god I hate that word!), it just doesn't click with YOU!
Everyone feels differently about the things they like or dislike. Your LIKES and DISLIKES do not automatically apply any sort of inherent VALUE to a creation. Someone somewhere LOVES what you HATE, and HATES what you LOVE!
Get over yourself! Just admit it isn't for you and move on.

Could someone with BPD call themself a system if their EPs feel separate from them?
from a purely medical view, if you've ruled out OSDD-1 and DID, then no.
it's normal for EPs to feel separate from you - that's the whole point of the separation between EPs and the ANP. it's only when they're not only separate but also have their own sense of self (even if it's limited) that they're alters.
that said, i'm not the boss of you and, while maybe it wouldn't be medically correct, if it makes you happy and feels good to call yourself a system, then go for it! i advocate for improving quality of life over technical definitions :)
So weird watching a horror movie and feeling as if it couldve been pushed a little further and the themes worked out just a bit more intense and explicit, whilst also fully knowing that if the movie /had/ been heavier and better* i would not have watched it in the first place

Ur icon is so good!!
Thank you! I just realized I should change my description but it's from twin fantasy from car seat headrest
All this talk about headcanons in homestuck got me wondering....
Where do we draw the line? When do we say 'ok, so I can believe this, but that, now that's just absurd!
For example, a lot of people assume that the kids (sans Jade) go to school or are home schooled in some form. They say, 'well this state's law requires Dave/John/Rose to receive a proper education so of course they would attend school!' They accept this as part of their headcanon and move on. Many of us apply our irl world knowledge to homestuck to help form a basis for our headcanons, so instances like this are to be expected.
In the same comic though, Dadbert can lift things as heavy as safes and fridges and Bro can cut meteors in half. These are stone cold facts that we can't argue with, so we accept them as canon.
So in regards to the webcomic, it's not unreasonable to believe that John, Dave and Rose might be enrolled in school, nor is it unreasonable that given the opportunity, Dadbert could probably lift an entire car over his head.
With these two instances both in mind, how do we know what might be a possibility and what might be too far-fetched?
I like homestuck because of how open-ended it is, and how much of the story Hussie leaves up to us to decide. This is one of the few series that I've gotten the pleasure to be apart of that is largely influenced by us readers. I mean, the bulk of the story takes place over the course of one day, so really, there's a lot of details that are unaccounted for, and Hussie is giving us the opportunity to fill in these details for ourselves. So in that respect, we're encouraged to feel free to play with these characters, and form our own headcanons based on how WE interpret the narrative.
Let me repeat this. A lot of the details (including the physical appearances of the characters) in Homestuck are up to interpretation!
Once again, with feeling

Oops, someone's headcanon kid is a little different from yours and you don't like it? Too damn bad. It's their headcanon and it doesn't affect you in any way. Given the ambiguity of the character's descriptions, they're allowed to see them however they want in their mind just as you're allowed to do the same.
Oops, you really don't like that person's headcanon kid and you want to tell them why they're wrong about how x is really supposed to look? Please, before you reply to that post, I want you to take a big step back and re-familiarize yourself with the word 'headcanon'. It might save your life. If you're still a little uneasy, then I want you think long and hard why you think their character looks wrong. Do you have a problem with the ethnicity? The body type? The gender identity? Something else? It might be helpful to both yourself and others around you to figure out exactly why the way they draw the character makes you uncomfortable. And helpful to me so I can decide if I want anything to do with you.
Aww, but you just REALLLY don't think they should draw that character that way because it's not how you pictured them and you still want to complain about it? Well, then at this point you can kindly fuck off.
