Summary: Reader has bad cramps so Zuko turns into a personal heating pad (inspo from my own period cramps and @arfemiz)

Zuko x fem reader (reader is on her period)

Warnings: None, FLUFF! (not my best work)

All of the hot tea that swirls in your stomach cannot even stand a chance against your cramps. You consumed everything warm in sight, but that just led your guts to bloat and rebel against your wishes.

The covers tucked right above your head, leaving no space for a crack that could leak out all of your warm.

You have faced many evil threats and dealt with them no problem, but when it comes to something your own body conjures up against you - you couldn’t help but feel defeated. Your canines found the soft flesh of your lips, chewing and biting on them hard to hush the blow of the groans that dared to slip past. Wanting everything and anything to stop the pain, you still refused to be a bother.

Clamping your palms over your mouth to stop the small squeaky whines - of course your bloating had betrayed you. Seeming almost more monsterous and gutteral than a beast, came a massive (and loud) throe of your stomach obviously trying to rat you out.

Dang it.

The darkness of your coccoon was decimated with the light seeping into the cracks. Zuko had carefully peeled away the blanket, leaving you like those bugs you find after lifting a rock.

"did the tea work?" Zuko asked in a low voice, obviously knowing the answer to that as you groaned and turned away in response.

You could see behind those gold eyes that he was proposing something.

"My love, where does it hurt?"

You slowly guided his already warm palm to your lower abdomen, sighing at his natural body warmth, even though he didn’t even start heating up.

Zuko narrowed his eyes to concentrate all of those years spent mastering fire bending to use it for something soft like this. Usually his fire is only meant to scorch those who deserved to burn with a higher temperature than hell's flames. But for you, his usual burning bushfire softened into but a tiny flame atop a candle wick. As his heat seeps atop your lower abdomen, your aching muscles relax and melt like candle wax. Your guts that used to be screaming unintelligible profanity now laid to rest as you placed your palm atop his.

"Mmm, thanks Zu', I love you" You mumbled in the state of bliss.

His plush lips graced your cheek in a small appreciative peck.

Only you got to see his meltingly warm soft side, beyond the ash and flame.

Author's notes: It's been a while since I wrote because of how busy I have been - so thank you for waiting around for another fanfic. Anyways, when I saw that the new ATLA movie was LEAKED I had to write for it (prayers to the animators though). Plus, I had to write for Zuko because DAMN those edits keep popping up on my for you page…
