Tae posts a bunch of photos on IG. We find out that while BTS were in NYC for promos, he and Jungkook dined at Torrisi, a Michelin-starred Italian-American restaurant named one of NYC’s Top 100 restaurants by The New York Times. It appears the two dined here after the taping of Fallon on March 25, 2026.

It’s noted as one of the most recently talked about restaurants in NYC. The space is divided into several zones, and in addition to the main dining room, there’s a bar area with darker, more intimate lighting, glass doors, shelves lined with wine glasses, and that warm red light that often appears in photos. It’s this area that feels more “intimate,” narrow, and atmospheric. It gives the feeling of a “place that’s hard to get into.” Reservations are required and tables are reserved through the Resy app. New slots open up about 30 days in advance, but in practice, they’re snapped up in a matter of minutes, so it’s hard to secure a reservation. People often monitor cancellations or log into the app the moment slots become available. People usually recommend arriving either right at opening time or later in the night, and weekdays are much easier than weekends.

There’s speculation Hobi was there too based on photos he shared, but since it’s still debated I’ll just note it. What’s undeniably sweet is Tae choosing to highlight JK in the IG photos he posted.

Why we know Taekook potentially went the same day as Fallon is based on outfits, though Tae’s hair style is different , so I will disclaim this too.

It did not really contain a lot of stuff that was new to me, but there were a few new bits, like the two artworks done by her sister Cassandra — I had only seen an image of one before, and didn't know who made it. It was certainly no hardship to listen to someone so enthusiastic talk for an hour on the topic.

Some interesting side events:

The woman seated next to me asked if I did many courses with the University of the Third Age (this is a great lifelong learning network available to people with a seniors card). I said no.

The woman seated behind me said I wouldn't remember the 90s. Everyone's a critic??

A guy in the front row put forward his belief more than once that we should have Jane Austen's corpse exhumed to investigate whether or not Addison's disease really killed her. Interesting theory.

The speaker paused to remind us all that she had written a book about cats. Fair enough. Important data. Irrelevant to Jane Austen, mind, but important data.
