We knew, deep down, that Aziraphale was OOC when he asked Crowley to go to heaven with him. That's why we had a lot of theories and we were waiting for season 3 to confirm any of it. There was no way that Aziraphale could think that The Metatron 'wasn't so bad'. There was no way that he could said that heaven was 'the side of light/truth' when they had punched him and afterwards tried to kill him, and kill humanity. There was no way he could think Crowley would want to go back to heaven as an angel.

I never believed the coffee theory, of course, but the scene was so OOC that I thought it was some kind of performance for the Metatron. I trusted it would be explained.

Again, this is not a value judgement, no one is required to like what I like or dislike what I dislike. It is just a bit odd to me (this is baby's first fandom, after all) and is taking some getting used to.

Asanthony related writings are appearing on AziCrow's bench these days. (Along with GO3 quotes 🥲)

They canonly don't know how important these places are. And they never will.

I fear if we don't say anything, then eventually, Asanthony are going to claim everything that AziCrow was. A silent takeover. (Makes me think of The Yeerks in Animorphs. Weird, but makes sense to me.)

Asanthony are their own characters, and that means they have nothing to do with AziCrow's memory. Leave AziCrow's special places alone.

They aren't AziCrow but many people are forcing us to accept they are by putting them into AziCrow's place. That's the issue!

All your ideas for Asanthony that make them AziCrow are headcanons/speculations. Those weren't shown on screen. Don't force it on the rest of the fandom.

You know what was "canonly" shown?

AziCrow exploded into confetti and "never existed." Do not tell me it's not dying because I am not a kid. I know what fictional character death looks like. If you think that wasn't dying, then you are just lying to yourselves.

Anyway, apparently us grieving major character death and not accepting some lesser copy-pasted human OCs (created by NG and the GO3 writers btw, not TP) are too negative and gate keeping.

NO IT IS NOT JUST A BENCH.

It is a bench full of love of Season 1 and hopeful messages after Season 2 that belongs to the two most loved characters everyone joined this fandom for, who DIED (unalived) themselves on screen. Believe it or not, the movie showed their death.

If you like Asanthony, I am not gatekeeping you from enjoying them. I just want you to tag them properly and leave AziCrow's memorials alone. You want to play with the new toy, then make up new lore (that the show didn't have time or care enough to make) for them.

Find them a different bench, maybe.

They already took the South Down cottage and the "canon" happy ending. You can always go rewatch that on tv along with the rest of the show.

Finale haters have the previous seasons and the book. Sure. Let's rewatch The F15! Wonderful, don't you think? What a good ending that one was.

I have another rant about "it's not suicide" and "they didn't die", but I will save that for another post.

Edit: if you are a finale hater and is thinking of leaving quotes or write things about AziCrow dying on the bench out of spite, I hope you don't. Let's keep them alive at least. ): (and no Asanthony hate on the bench either, please.)

Edit 2: Because someone misunderstood me I am not saying people aren't allowed to headcanon. But it should stay as that. Headcanon and not forced on the finale haters as Canon.

Refusing to separate AziCrow memorial and Asanthony is one of the ways they are doing to force us to like Asanthony/the ending like them. I am not talking about headcanon in general. I am talking about the "Asanthony is AziCrow" narrative being pushed onto the fandom right now.
