I wish Severus weaponized his halfblood status, I know why he didn’t (the other slytherins and Joanne’s poor writing) but Sirius loudly proclaimed to be a blood traitor and James tried hitting on a muggleborn all the time

He could have loudly said “you guys target me because I’m a halfblood isn’t it? You know the other pureblood obsessed slytherins won’t help me.” Bring out a muggle chemistry book “why would you call this dark arts if my blood wasn’t to blame?”

That would have killed their reputation, at least all muggleborns would give them the stink eye, after all, Severus had been the butt of their jokes most of the time and they did target the boy, just not for his blood status

To put it bluntly, the only way to end homelessness is to house people or kill them.

That's it. Those are your options. Homelessness doesn't go away based on "crime crackdowns." You will imprison the unhoused, and when they are free, they will be unhoused again. Or they will die in prison.

When you burn encampments or force people out without their stuff, they remain unhoused or freeze to death.

After working with the unhoused, it's become abundantly clear that those who don't want to support them instead want them dead.

There is blood on the hands of every government and organization that controls the homeless population with force instead of compassion.

I love how there’s some people talking as if op advocated for the killing of homeless people.

That’s really not the point and as much as other people say stuff like they need something like other type of support, that’s also not the point either.

The point is: to end homelessness there is only two ways.

Op didn’t say anything about drug addicts or criminals or anything of the sort.

Homelessness means to not have a home and the only true way to end it is to house everyone (specially because if you put conditions for it some people will do their best to stop many people from getting a house) or just commit genocide.

Just like refugees, to end them being a problem in your country either you house them or you kill them.

It’s extremely simple, but I guess if you don’t see them as humans you wouldn’t.

but for real though the keep gay people away from children thing is so weird because so many teachers are gay. I mean, even historically. lots of gay women became schoolteachers because the job forbid them to marry during the term of their employment and it was a good excuse to keep men away. and I think we all had at least one nebulously gay teacher at our school, often several and it didn’t kill us and they were usually very good at their job.

this is something that I think a lot of people don't understand abt adhd. and like. this shit can get scary, especially if it happens often. I hate that I can't remember what I'm doing for the entire time it takes me to do it. I hate having to pause in the middle of conversations to desperately attempt to re-trace my train of thought because I don't remember what we're talking about. like. if you don't have adhd. just try to imagine what it's like to be unable to carry out a full conversation. try to imagine your memory resetting at random intervals. what are you doing right now? do you know? because often times, I fucking Forget. in the middle of doing things. and then I'm just standing there like an idiot desperately trying to wave away the thick fog that exists in my brain 24/7. and sometimes that shit just doesn't work. and I forget for good. it's terrifying. to me, at least.

I have autism so I'm not in danger of this happening all the time, but sometimes when my thought process goes from a to b and then I try to cycle again to a I lose it.

Nine times out of ten I completely forget what a was and have to go through another thought process, and that can be extremely bad for my routine and things I have to do, specially considering there is nothing that can make me avoid forgetting important things.
