A part of reason why batter loves puns is because he took time to learn a whole new language to speak with you! He would find ways to use a clever choice of words to hear your laughter hehe

It may happen that he doesn’t have full vocabulary of your language yet, but he is ready to learn the nuances of it.

He’d even appreciate it when you correct him on his little mistakes, ah but don’t mind him staring at you so lovingly because you sound so beautiful❤️

If you try to make puns in French too, his eyes would lit up - he’d be really happy :)

Batter

There's a warmth building inside him, slowly working its way through his body. It feels like acceptance and forgiveness. It feels like letting go. It feels like sitting by the hearth, wrapped in a blanket. He doesn't notice that he's crying until you point it out to him. He can't remember when the last time he felt this way was. Somehow it feels like this shouldn't be allowed, like he doesn't deserve this happiness, but he couldn't resist it even if he wanted to.

Dedan

There's a moment where he feels disconnected from his body, like he's floating away. Then the nostalgia hits him like a ton of bricks. Laughter, crayon drawings, infinite possibilities, the sight of his hard work paying off, all the nice things he's ever experienced come rushing back to him all at once. It's overwhelming. It makes him dizzy. The anger that usually follows these happy memories is nowhere to be found, and that's possibly the most confounding part of it all. He's gotten so used to being angry as a default that this sudden happiness is enough to make him faint. Which he does. Oops...
