oh this is a life saver
So these are both “Aw Fuck I’m outta real food” meals BUT ALSO: if you’re learning how to cook, these are great “baby steps” meals to learn how to cook basics into something enjoyable without “wasting” anything expensive. Though I maintain that even cooking screw-ups are valuable in terms of lessons learned.
Also they’re great for when you get absorbed in something and you realize your blood sugar is dropping and you need to make something Quick.
Making basic storecupboard or fridge ingredients less basic and more nutritious.

After quite a while, I finally managed to adapt these fun shark anatomy illustrations to Redbubble products! Many asked me to make posters or art prints available for sale and it is now possible in my little store! This is my store’s profile! ✨
I tried to adapt these arts to other products, but I think they were very ugly, so focus on looking for poster, art print or stickers options! I hope you like it and that the price offered by Redbubble is affordable!
In the future I want to make other species of sharks! Thanks a lot for all support! ✨ If you want to follow me on instagram, this is: @AstralRequin
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if you’ve hurt someone and you have the mindset of “I don’t deserve help” or “I don’t deserve to feel bad”, that’s not helping anyone.
If you’ve hurt someone, you need to get help, and you need to feel bad because help and empathy are the only two things that are gonna help you not do it again.
Ive hurt a lot of people with my anger issues. And it took me a really long time to realise going “I hurt them, I never deserve to be helped ever again.” is not what should be on my mind.
If you truly want to make things better for you and the world around you, you need to have the empathy for the person you hurt and the self awareness that you can’t fix yourself alone.
It sucks to be the person that hurt someone. It does. But that doesn’t mean you get to shun yourself even further into being damaging.
“I’ve hurt so many people, I’m hopeless”.
This statement is exactly why it keeps happening. You need to admit to your mistakes, work on not doing them again, and fixing them. You need to understand that you CAN fix them. You need to have hope for yourself.
Because if you don’t, you’re just gonna end up back where you started.

“It’s only a trigger if it causes horrible flashbacks” is so utterly divorced from how the concept of a trigger is used by actual real therapists
a thing doesn’t have to cause traditional flashbacks to be a trigger. a trigger can be a thing that causes:
- panic attacks - emotional flashbacks* - anxiety episodes - paranoia/delusions - hallucinations - seizures - rage episodes - manic episodes - depression spikes - suicidal thoughts - dissociative episodes - sensory overload - obsessions and compulsions (as in OCD)
and probably more things than that, i don’t know all the possible things. I’m not trained in clinical psychology, but neither are all the assholes who say “It’s not a real trigger unless it gives you flashbacks”
* an emotional flashback is a type of flashback where you feel the emotions associated with the trauma happening to you while still on some level knowing that the trauma isn’t currently happening to you. this is a more common type of flashback than the traditional kind.
tl;dr the word trigger in clinical psychology (the field of therapists) can refer to many things other than traditional flashbacks. stop telling ppl “that’s not a trigger unless it gives you flashbacks,” because you are utterly fucking wrong.

Hi all! We also make educational content about DID on TikTok! Our user is @/System.3rror
“Substitute beliefs” is an umbrella concept that can be applied to understanding introjects (fictional and real-life), pseudomemories, non-human alters, and more.
It’s important to note that not all substitute beliefs are harmful–they may be comforting, or even feel empowering. You don’t necessarily have to stop being a ghost! That said, it may be worth mentioning in therapy to make sure it’s a healthy belief to engage with.

Steven Universe doesn’t just have PTSD, he has complex PTSD
If I get anything wrong, please correct me! I’m not a psychologist and I don’t have any form of PTSD.
Everyone’s saying Steven has PTSD, and they’re not wrong, C-PTSD is a type of PTSD, but since nobody’s mentioned specifically C-PTSD I’d thought I’d talk about it. While it is not recognised as a separate disorder by the DSM yet, it is recognised as a separate disorder by many medical professionals and by WHO, so it’s worth talking about.
C-PTSD is a form of PTSD that occurs when someone is exposed to severe, repetitive trauma over a long period of time, rather than just PTSD which develop due to short-term exposure to a single traumatic event. Since Steven doesn’t just have one trauma, but rather many (so many), I think it’s important to talk about C-PTSD.
In addition to all of the core symptoms of PTSD, people with C-PTSD may also experience:
Difficulty controlling their emotions
Dissociation (thanks @honeybee1895!)
A negative self-image
Alienating themselves from personal relationships
Changes in beliefs (I dunno, maybe because he’s less willing to befriend his enemies? Could be a stretch though)
In people with a dissociative disorder, certain parts are compelled to focus on the perception of danger. Living in trauma-time, these dissociative parts immediately perceive the present as being "just like" the past and "emergency" emotions such as fear, rage, or terror are immediately evoked, which compel impulsive decisions to engage in defensive behaviors (freeze, flight, fight, or collapse). When parts of you are triggered, more rational and grounded parts may be overwhelmed and unable to make effective decisions.

hey kids if ur parents are abusive, dont be surprised if they suddenly change all their behaviors when u finally move out, if they start acting very nice and never even allude to all those times Before when they were treating u bad. this is a form of gaslighting and if u plan to keep distant from them as an adult, this may well be the defining characteristics of ur interaction w/ them. it’s tough to navigate this, because u will almost definitely wonder: was i abused? listen… when u sit in ur own home someday, maybe w/ a loved one, and things feel good, and the past feels far away, ur abuse was not made up. ur parents really did those things, and whether or not u want to keep them out of ur life or form a new dynamic w/ them, that’s up to u. but never let them make u believe they were always good to u.
Happy System Pride Day!!!!
I wont speak on the topic or the specifics as Im just an ally but for those of you who don’t know, it is Febuary 23rd, 2019 the first annual system pride day!!!
So in honour of the day I am making this post to spread recognition and support aswell as a way to educate those who may not know.
*I want to say to all of the systems that read this that you are amazing, and strong and even if it’s miserable now and the dark wont stop understand that you are still standing and still pushing through all the crap that life has thrown at you and I just wanna say how amazing that is. You are spectacular and you deserve to feel proud of where you are and how you got here.*
If you are feeling alone and confused and hurting there is a whole community of people and systems just like you and
You are NOT alone
We live in a world ignorant of very real people and have found every which way to demonise and slander those who have suffered and I wont stand for it and the strongest way to break that pattern is by saying you are here and you are proud of who you are an no one can take that from you.
Happy system pride day everyone be proud and im here.
