hello!
my name is Avery (she/they), and I draw custom emotes for Discord servers, AAC, and communication!
this post is going to tell you everything you need to know about my blog, but itโll be a bit long, so Iโve put a โkeep readingโ checkpoint here for your scrolling comfort. :]
rules/guidelines
unlike some other emote blogs on here, I donโt really have a strict DNI. anyone can use my emotes (with credit); I post these images on a public platform, which means I canโt stop anyone from using them.
however, I expect everyone to follow some simple, common-decency rules here:
no bigotry/hate (racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, ableism, fatphobia, anti-immigration rhetoric, pro-Trump/MAGA/alt-right rhetoric, etc).
donโt feed my art into AI.
donโt claim my art as yours.
please give me credit if you use my emotes. you can do this by starting your Discord emoji ID with โsymbi_โ
be respectful and kind in my inbox, and be patient with me if you submit a request.
I think those are some very reasonable rules to follow, so hopefully you all can follow them!
โbut what about endos/[x term/identity]/[insert discourse topic here]??????โ
honestly, I donโt care.
I have my own opinions on a lot of these topics, but I really donโt think theyโre important, so I donโt share them online. as long as you are not hurting any real person/animal, and do not think it is okay to hurt any real person/animal, you can use my emotes. I donโt talk about discourse here and will never.
requests
my requests are currently closed. when they are open, you are welcome to ask for things, and they are free! hereโs what I can/will, canโt, and wonโt do.
I can and will do:
text (wordmojis)
combined text and image emotes
full-body poses
simple animals
emotes related to substances (will have appropriate TWs)
emotes related to mental health, disability, and chronic illness awareness
mild blood/injury if it is related to a disability/illness/health condition or is a meme/joke/reaction
wordmojis that involve swearing and sarcasm
simple recolours (e.g. changing the colour of the text in a wordmoji, changing the skin tone of an emote depicting a person)
I canโt do (because itโs beyond the scope of my abilities and/or canvas size):
animated emotes
complex full-body animals or furries (Iโve never been good at drawing these, and I donโt want to disappoint you ;_;)
complex fantasy creatures (e.g. dragons; canโt do this for the same reason listed above)
full blended rendering of emotes (my canvas size is too small + it requires too much time for my work to be both free for you and fair to me)
wordmojis in a language other than English UNLESS you provide the translation โ just know I am not skilled at writing in alphabets other than the standard 26-letter Latin alphabet, hiragana, and katakana (I speak Japanese at a beginner level)
I wonโt do:
NSFW, including words, topics, and imagery
gore
wordmojis with slurs (yes, even if you can reclaim them!)
wordmojis with AAVE โ Iโm not Black, so it feels inappropriate to draw these, even if the person requesting it is Black
emotes that promote or provide graphic details about eating disorders, self-harm, suicide, violence/abuse, and SA. disability/mental health awareness is one thing, but this crosses a line
emotes of a specific person or character. I sometimes do emotes of my favourite characters for fun and self-indulgent purposes, but I donโt do them for others
remakes of existing emotes with something else added on
what I use to make my emotes
I use Krita as my drawing program.
my canvas is 500x500 px, with a transparent background.
