Narinder is alive and working the farms in this au. Apollyon couldn't bring herself to kill him after she defeated him, so once she realized he was immortal, she thought the best use of his time would be to tend to the farms.

To put it simply, Narinder got relegated to just some guy, which is a massive blow to his ego, to be treated like a common follower (not that he's in any position to do anything otherwise); Apollyon wasn't even the one to help him get settled once he was indoctrinated, she had Astaroth help him instead (Apollyon straight up did not want to deal with him at the time).

Narinder doesn't even have Baal and Aym to lean on because he inadvertently strained his relationship with them with the whole "I care not for them" comment, which the twins overheard, which hurt them deeply.

I'll be participating again in Art Fight this year on Team Mystery.

The Great Forge Master

Still really liked that other palette from Sprout Fight, so I used it for this piece! Out of all the Woolhaven lambs, Apollyon would hit it off with Rami the best!

I touched on this lightly before, but Apollyon's village held Kudaai in very high regards, so to learn he had apprentices and meet one directly is incredibly exciting to Apollyon, and she's not one to get excited/passionate very often or easily.

The date goes well! I actually have how the date went down sketched out, for a long while too, but I wanted to show the lead up to the date first with the Toothy Courtship comic.

It'll probably be a while before I finish the date comic since there are things i wanna change pacing-wise, then I gotta set it into the comic format, lineart, colour, etc. Plus the theme for art fight got revealed and I wanna participate again this year, so it'll probably be a long while, we'll see what happens.

I do however have an art piece that I'm almost done featuring Apollyon and one of the Woolhaven lambs.

Submission for Sprout Fight 2026 before I go back to the Pokopia mines.

Chose sunshine, wind chimes, and cherry blossoms for the theme and wishful wisteria for the palette.

The continuation of the Mortal Emotions comic!

This is the finale for this little series and I look forward to drawing these guys in their present clothes for whatever comics I decide to do in the future.

Made some nice art pieces this year. No art for November or December 'cause I just wasn't feeling it and the video games were plentiful.

30. Betrayal

"It wasn't supposed to end like this.

She had only been gone a short while from her siblings' hidden camp, not even five minutes, to collect some water from the river and forage for whatever food was nearby. When she heard screams ring out, Apollyon immediately abandoned any food and water collected and bolted back. It didn't matter if branches and foliage scratched and whipped at her, she had to get back as fast as she could. Her death grip on her axe only tightened when the clearing came into view.

Apollyon arrived in time to witness her sister Jamaerah lock eyes with her and apologize, before a cultist severed her head from her shoulders; her younger siblings already murdered. Any fight Apollyon had left, any fury that she harbored from years spent on the run, sapped in that instant.

Her axe fell uselessly to the floor as Apollyon sunk to her knees, frozen at the bloody scene before her. The only people she loved and cared about, the only people she had sworn to protect, were now dead; all because she wasn't there for them.

She barely registered the number of cultists that had infested her camp, nor her mother pushing her way through them to talk to her; her mother who had vanished from their group weeks prior.

"Everything will be alright Apollyon, I made a deal with the sect of War to spare us!"

Apollyon didn't answer as she thought about how she never got to take Pate fishing.

"There was no way we would've been able to outrun the Old Faith, the would have caught and killed us all had I not made this choice-" her mother reasoned, desperation clear in her voice.

Apollyon still didn't answer, the metallic smell of blood fresh in the air, distracting, nauseating, as her gaze shifted to Feryn and Moe; she never got to teach them how to braid their wool into pretty hairstyles.

"Their lives were the price to pay for this deal, but it will all be worth it, you'll see! You were always the stronger one between you and your sister and the sect of War is favourable to those who are strong!"

Everything felt so numb around Apollyon as she looked at the glassy eyes of her older sister; they were always supposed to have each other's backs, through thick and thin, no matter what.

She failed.

She felt nothing from her mother's words as she watched her siblings' blood seep into the dirt. Nor did she feel anything as she saw a heretic stab her mother through her back, killing her too.

Apollyon felt nothing from her mother's death; her actions resulted in the deaths of her beloved siblings after all. She felt nothing as the cultists began closing in around her, chains and shackles in hand.

All she could do was silently stare at her siblings' lifeless corpses on the ground.

All because she wasn't there to protect them."

24. Gift

"The golden skull necklace, a solution to aging, a solution to never dying. Up until receiving this artifact, Lambert had given each their spouses a skull necklace to extend their lives and revived them when they passed of old age.

This would ensure that their beloved spouses would remain by their side for all eternity, but could they really ask this of them? Immortality was and still is an adjustment for Lambert; it wasn't exactly a choice for them either. While they now have eternity to forge the world into something better and learn any skills they desired, it also meant watching friends and loved ones change and pass on. Not everyone was interested in living forever, understandably, but it still hurt to see them go.

Lambert had always left the option open for their spouses to pass on if they ever grew tired of returning back to life, and they expected them to eventually to take their final rests. But this necklace would solidify that their ends would never come again.

Could they truly ask this of their beloveds? Is this commitment something they all could handle? Was is selfish that Lambert wanted them to accept these necklaces?

...They all accepted the golden necklaces with no hesitation and brimming enthusiasm."
