Yeliseya - vampire-witch (I'm not sure if an analog of упырь from slavic mythology exists in English??) born before christianity came to Rus' (guess her relationship with the religion). When she was 16 she run away to became the witch's apprentice. Yeliseya is a strong and independent woman and kind of a matriarch of the family, but also she's forever 16 so no fully developed frontal lobes. Likes modern times A LOT because feminism and tiktok are real, can be a cold-hearted bitch.

Vladlen - bloodsucker (more of a classic vampire spieces), was born in Russian Empire, a big fan of Lenin and the Revolution, was very depressed when the socialistic dream did not come true (he is still depressed and comes to the Mausoleum often to whine to Lenin about the country's state). Has addiction problems (he can't be truly addicted to anything besides blood, he's just a moron and thinks nobody cares about him and he doesn't even need anyone (he needs oh he does)). Works as a nurse to have access to bagged blood, because he's too lazy to bite people. A proud stepfather to a boy from 4-5 pictures<3

Pan Grzegorz - the stranglerrrr (I call his speices душегуб bc of the word play but yeah... My bi-lingual people stay with me). Born in Poland, served Poland, died in Poland in 1241, resurrected as vampire in Poland, lived in Poland, sadly had to leave Poland, still loves Poland (and Legnica in particular). As much as Poland he loves his dead wife trope pani Katarzyna, tho he doesn't remember her and just romanticises the vision. A simple man, ready to do anything for his found family. An artist and a walking "How do you do fellow kids" meme. Still lives in 80s bc time flies too fast and he's not that fast. He and Yelisya are besties<3

Little vampire-witch Ivan. Was stolen and turned into vampire when he was a baby. His mentoress died, but before that forced Vladlen to take Vanya in, binding them with blood magic. He is a quet and reserved child, likes to read and has zero socialisation. Yelisya becomes his new mentoress.

17 y o Ivan. Fresh out of school, forced to go to the uni (he only wants to study magic but the family thinks he needs to be raised like a normal person). Still introverted but the boy has friends! Tries to find his place in the world.
