just a little bird

I've always loved hummingbirds, and in a roundabout way hummingbirds are actually the origin of this username (as a long tailed sylph is a type of hummer). The males are afaik pretty much always crazy bright colors with their gorget (throat), with the females being pretty/iridescent but not to that level. Of one's I'm familiar with, Costa's and Rufous are particularly pretty, though I really like that broadtailed males have something (apparently a feather feature, according to this dorky facebook post) that makes them sound like tiny fighter jets when they fly.

i forgot to reply but thank you, yeah, it's been a while for me (1-2 years of meds?) and it's def better than it was but my health problems make it more of a rollercoaster. but still. Thank you for that and the compliment yay :>

last night i had baba ghanoush - so eggplant! I'm usually not a huge hummus fan (I find the texture sandy) but it was pretty good. I also definitely balanced out any health parts of eating it by absolutely obliterating a chunk of lamb. Yummy!
