Random poetry
Let them draw their swords, let them see the fear, the notion that war is bloody. So that when they live, they will know how much they take away with every thrust and every weave of their blades, They will learn to use their words, Having seen all the tears, Yes... War is bloody It has to be that way Otherwise we will never sheathe our blades. -random lit riff
Money laundering
Money changes hands Like air to the south From the frosty north Money changes hands Like the dust in our room To the waste by the broom Money changes hands Like bullets from a gun To the victims on the run Money changes hands... From the north to the south In a room with a broom With your gun they will run Money changes hands...

When the relationship is stale, and you see another couple still burning with desire for each other.Â
Hold the DOOR!
Bread Crumbs
Again the sun greeted me, its rays of light creeping through my window, gently rousing me from my slumber. My alarm had gone off for the fifth time, but this gentle wave of light seemed to have known the key to ending my deep sleep. I scratch my head, wince, and rub my eyes. Was today the day? I often pondered, but the better question was, the day for what?
I took a bath and dried up, looking at myself at the mirror the entire time, sizing myself up. Oh how the years have done wonders for you, red beady eyes, graying hair, and scars. Quite a few. But not enough to put off employers. I breathed in deeply and took in the pain killers, morphine usually took the edge off but would leave me in a corner just blissfully looking at my hands. I took a handful of aspirin and swallowed heartily. Breakfast. I took what clothes I had from the hamper and carefully put them on, from each single button, to the socks on my feet. I felt my mind zoning out now, I hastened to put on my shoes, I grabbed my bag and headed out the apartment.
The city was buzzing with life, cars and people were all around just walking, a few cyclists here and there, and the occasional hobo with placards or sign boards saying, âWill work for foodâ or âSatans reign is absoluteâ. I heeded them no word though, I was only two more blocks away from the meeting place. My palms began to get sweaty, a curious notion, was I anxious? Scared? Excited? Mayhaps all of these and more, its been quite a while since Iâve felt this kind of rush.
The park was open and at this hour there were many joggers of the sort, and by the bench, I knew she hadnât missed her appointment. Not once in 27 years had she ever forgotten. I could see her feeding bread crumbs to the ducklings. I smiled, not because of her fond affection for the ducks, but because of how much I had missed her.
She hears my foots steps from behind. She gently cocks her head towards me. âMiss me stranger?â
âThereâs not a day in this life I donâtâ
She scoots over a bit and offers to let me sit.
Silence.
The scenery becomes calm and placid. I could see the ripples in the water as she was continually dropping the bread crumbs.
âDid you ever feed them?â
I shake my head. âTheyâre not my pets.â
She laughs, âno, they arenât. Now are they?â that smile of hers.
I open my bag to reveal a small loaf of bread. âdidnât mean I wasnât going to.â
She guffaws and fakes an expression of surprise. âNot once in 26 years.â
I gently break off a piece and throw it into the pond. I observe as I see a two ducklings quickly swim toward it and gobble up the morsel with much gusto.
âRemember how this all started?â She said, breaking my new found concentration for ducks and their attraction to bread.
âWith the scent of roses on a warm summers day, just like this?â I take a piece of bread and point it to her mouth. âDonât tell me youâre not hungry after seeing all these ducks eat.â
She just nodded, âNot as much as you would think.â She stared up into the skies now. âWe can leave in a bit, is that old Italian restaurant still open?â
I shake my head. âNo, I donât think so, theyâve been closed for a long time.â
She didnât say anything this time, but she just closed her eyes and clasped my hand, it felt different⌠but I returned the clasp, not enough to crush her hand, just enough to show her I was not indifferent. This took me back years now, but most of these memories were either clouded or faded to black, like a sepia picture being burnt in a pile of lost hopes and dreams. I closed my eyes too and just breathed in the air, I took in the smell of the water, the ducks, and most importantlyâ
âDoesnât seem so long ago now does it?â
I smile.
And she slowly opens her eyes this seems to stir up something inside her. âThatâs the first time Iâve seen you smile in the longest time stranger.â She laughs and stands up. âCome, if that italian restaurant is closed then we shall find another!â
Her enthusiasm was not without merit. We left the park and tried to find a place to eat for the next thirty minutes, we had even gone as far as crossing five blocks into Jade st. where they sold all kinds of all cuisines of the more⌠oriental sort. A quick breeze of the wind sweeps us by and she sneezes in response.
I take a scarf out of the bag, âhere, you need this more than I do.â
She curtsies, and with the grace of a would be twenty year old, she puts on the scarf. âWouldnât it be uncanny to find out Iâm secretly an assassin?â She puts the scarf over her face and assumes to stab me several times in the chest with her imaginary dagger.
âThat would be quite odd.â But I humor her, I parry with what sorry excuse for hand to hand combat skills I had.
âYou wouldnât last one day in the ninja academy.â She shakes her head and readjusts the scarf.
*
We eventually did find a place to eat, it was at this plain looking red brick building that had a faded sign at the front. But by the power of vision, we could make out the pictures of burgers on their window so we settled for those instead. We sat down facing each other in a rather small table for two, and this big sloppy man wearing a sleeveless shirt comes up to us and hands us a menu. We peer through with much intrigue as to what this nameless burger joint had to offer. We ordered two regulars and decided on just water.
The waiter shrugs and goes back into the kitchen and not short of twenty minutes we began our feast of the tasty, tasty murder. Observing her now, she took twenty bites before swallowing her food, it was no wonder she kept up this figure at our age. âNever really tried wolfing down your food have you?â
âIâd choke, do you see how small this wind pipe is?â
As a show of protest I finish off my burger in two big bites. But then the aspirin begins to wear off and the headache throws me off. I took at least nine. I thought to myself. But merely staggered in my seat.
âAre you alright?â She peers, looking me in the eye. âIâd tell you not to wolf down your food too, but it would seem a tad too late.â
After a few cups of water, we settle the bill and head out.
âShould we check back on the ducks?â She asks.
I look into the already orange sky, âWill they still be there?â
âWould it hurt to check?â
I shake my head, âNo, I suppose it wouldnât.â
Feeling like an old couple with rekindled adolescent love, we clasped each otherâs hand and carefully walked down the road back to the park. We were quite a few blocks away from the ducks when I noticed the street lamps going on.
âNow itâs officially past curfew.â I gaze at her sarcastically.
âYou still remember that?â She raises her eyebrows.
I just point to my head, not saying anything. But sometimes I wish my memory wasnât this sharp at all⌠We talked the whole way back to the park, how we were doing, our jobs, but mostly it was nostalgia. When we got back there were still quite a few people exercising or using their bikes. There was even a young couple setting up a telescope to view the stars. We head back to the same bench, where we had met for the first time.
âTheyâre not here anymore.â I sigh, âWe always check back and theyâre never here anymore. I even brought bread this time,â
âSometimes its not about what you bring.â She casually says. âYou have to understand that there are things in this world bigger than all of us.â
âAnd theyâd be cruel enough to take ducks away from us?â
âYes, because thatâs how the world worksâŚâ She said with a pained expression.
âAh, but to remember that morning with a bouquet in my hand and an open handâŚâ I reminisced
âAnd how you would always check if I was here by this bench feeding the ducks?â
âAnd no matter how much bread you brought so I could feed them too, I never really did.â I sighed, seeing how folly I used to be.
âAnd why is that?â
âBecause I really only cared for you,â And then reality creeps up on me like a horribly timed laughter cue. Â
âAnd right then when you said those words⌠you stole your first kiss.â She blushed at the memory.
âAnd I would never forgetâŚâ I clenched my hand.
âYes you would never forget. But donât focus on the bad.â She turns my head to face her. âFocus on what was good, and no amount of cruelty can take that away from you.â
I just nod.
She kisses me on the forehead and stands up. âIt time for me to go stranger. And I think you can handle things from here on out now.â
I almost half interjected with an argument. But that would have ruined the whole point, which I had just understood.
And so on the following hours, I just sat there on that bench. Waiting for morning⌠waiting to feed the ducks bread crumbsâŚ
End
Over Horizonâs Glance
The wind was calm tonight,
only a soft gentle breeze
To glance at horizon's sight
she could finally be at ease...
The words were all but spoken
with honey and cinnamon and toast
yet, no silence was broken
and so she stood vigil, she held her oath
The fires soon began
They rallied every man
To war, they rode again
and so eargerly they ran
But man can only bleed
before they are lost to greed
with ale and rye and barley
These spirits lost to parley
she watched the moon become whole
for more times than she could count
but time has taken its toll
like sweet summers drought
And so she stood there waiting
amidst the night time air
not a soul could hear her wailing
and so she stood there waiting
and then a figure in the distance
amidst the night time air
the breeze flowed without resistance
he came back in bones, it felt unfair
the wind was calm tonight...
only a soft gentle breeze,
to glance at horizons sight
no light could soothe her unease...

Speak to me of the lasting days, where frolic and meadows lie, And turn toward me when you say, how sweetness and beauty will die, / Show me the ugly truth, and the sinew and bones beneath, where are your fields? what did they yield? / The ground beneath us lush with all sorts of organisms, and the evening remains a hush, they heard not your spasm... / The lasting days are gone, as the night befalls our meadow, and no matter how we run, our speed is nothing to the shadows / Show me all the lies, of beauty, and lilac words, where are your fields? what did they yield? / The ground beneath us is death with all sorts of organisms and the evening comes our last breath, they heard not a spasm.

First Impressions on Rising thunder, i'm not a huge fan of fighting games, but i did play a fair number of them growing up. So i popped my controller into the computer and tried out this new fighting game thats still in technical alpha!
The text itself is pretty primitive, but the art work chosen seems to match the feel of the characters from the UI to the mech design it all seems to mesh in pretty well. As for the characters I've only tried two of them so far and I'm liking Crow the mech from south korea~ (I also liked using Hwoarang from tekken)
Since the game is still in technical alpha there are bound to be kings and connection failures. but so far the game seems pretty solid, there seems to be a lack of "Down forward + strong punch" combinations and you just find urself clicking 5 attack buttons to make a combo + a grab button and a button that auto activates your ultimate skill. Â A little lacking in the pop corn department for me. But yeah, i just got a hold of this game and its pretty decent!

Life is a funny thing, if we dissect our lives, and we take everything weâve done up to this point and time, it will still just amount to a small grain of sand in the beach that is the universe. The waves of time will ebb the shores and our memories will be lost to the sea. But no matter how minute our lives maybe, or the connections we have with each other or how futile it will be to leave our mark as time (undoubtedly) will corrode everything, that will never make our connections with one another any less significant.Â
A tinge of sadness envelopes me, as I pan out and view whats in store for me; life. It is a plethora of things, and on this journey we will experience sadness, anguish, misery... but these emotions exist so that happiness, joy, and excitement can flourish. Yes there will be times that we are at our lowest point, but how can we smile and enjoy the little things if otherwise? How then can we look at each morning and tackle each day with the strength in our hearts to do what needs to be done? Â
And that is life, it is a beach, it is filled with life and death, and we are all here to take the ride, whether we enjoy it or not.Â

Shots
One shots two shots three shots four
Cursed in my den, like all before
Six shots, seven shots, eight shots, nine
A wilting enamel of soft tissue fine.
*
A stabbing feeling, remorse, un bidden
This moment I wash my mind away
A wish taboo, it seems forbidden
That i would cease to see the day
*
One shots two shots three shots four
This single time, at a midnight hour
Six shots seven shots eight shots nine
Kill me, in my sleep and feast on me and dine
*
Torrential burdens, I feel a stab, curbing
Disturbing, sneering, loathing for myself
Aplomb with indecision, I am alone
Each step is like poison, each word is a dagger
*
One shots two shots three shots four
I feel like nothing, never more
Six shots seven shots eight shots nine
Tell me that this life was never mine
*
Take me, stab me, bury me and go
I never want to see the light of day
Take me, stab me, bury me and laugh
Itâs probably all you ever wanted to do
*
One shots two shots three shots four
I never thought this would feel so sour
Six shots seven shots eight shots nine
A gun to the head, thats my only line
*
This world I live in anguish, the words i hear are poison
Where words are meant as wind to me, i feel nothing
But the lasting sting, in anguish, poisoned, a gun to the head
The meandering paths that make me want to be dead...

Set me free
Set me free
Down by the river
Where the air irks its frosty chill
And the fishes bask in the running water
Set me free
Down by the river
Where our blood hath bathed
and there is no one to see
Set me free
Down by the river
Near our fathers grave
where he rests in peace.
