I understand that the world is seemingly about to spiral once again, to the surprise of no one, but the show, as they say, must go on. I’d hardly call it spiraling if the bars and clubs are still packed to their gills, which it sounds like yours was. Brava on your success, Miss Barton. 

About as well as it usually does– With enthusiasm. Aside from Em, of course. But she admitted it tasted good, which is all I can ask for, honestly. How are you, though? I hear things are a little wild out there right now.

As it should. I’m glad she seems to be doing better. You seem more relaxed. Things are... certainly interesting, aren’t they? I’m fine. The bar is as busy as ever. People always want their alcohol to forget what’s going on. How are you all?

Who said anything about dying, grandma? It’s about living a little. Doing dumb shit to feel live and all that crap. Not my fault you’re too old to rmember that.

And the utter lack of respect as well. As you so eloquently put it, living a little generally requires you to be alive for it. But what do I know about fun? I only own a bar.

Pillar #5 is probs the most, most important– If you aren’t someone the church would’ve killed 400 years ago, you’re not really livin’. That bein’ said, I’m almost positive anybody found in the black light district way back in the day woulda been stoned where they stood. So. if any of y’all fancy a good time, y’all should come check it out with me. I’ll be there all week, every night, probs all month, gettin’ my whole entire shit rocked.

That is certainly an.. ambitious model, but I suppose there is some truth to it. I find that the church just even last week is full of intolerance. I hope you’ve been enjoying yourself though, and that you’ve been safe. I was concerned because haven’t seen you in a while but now I know you haven’t gone off and found a bar you like better.

In light of what’s happening around this world, whether exaggerated or not, Bobbi and I have arranged for a blood donation van to be stationed at Katz Garage tomorrow from 9 am till 1 pm! As the state of the union address called for, we’re hoping to get a good amount of blood donated towards helping those currently…afflicted in hopes of curing them. If you have any questions feel free to ask me and I’ll answer to the best of my ability.

I hope the donation drive went well. It warms my heart to see the community coming together to help people who might be struggling. I don’t suppose I know how blood might help to “cure” such people but I suppose our medical system could always use surplus blood.

Apparently there is a limit to how much reality TV a person can consume before their brain goes a little numb. In other news, did anyone else see the state of the union address? Thoughts? Anyone else skeptical? 

Depends on the sort of reality TV, I suppose. Those romance/claim shows are ridiculous, though I could spend a great deal of time watching cooking and home renovation shows. As far as the state of the union address, I fail to see what the government would gain from lying about such a thing. Especially after recent events.

Alright, losers. I’m gonna need some recommendations of crazy-slash-dangerous-slash-violent shit to do in the city. Er, research reasons or whatever. For free would be cool too. 

I will never understand why young people always seem to have a death wish, but I am grateful that I grew out of my own.

So Earshot has been reopen for awhile now as a record store but I’m super fuckin’ proud to announce that the venue will be reopen as of next Saturday. We have a pretty awesome band coming into to play, and all the proceeds from ticket sales are gonna go to Secured Reaches! So basically sell us out guys, how can you not.

I’ve been considering opening up the bar with something similar. Perhaps not live music if that’s your niche, but perhaps an open mic night or karaoke. Poetry reading for the broken-hearted? I may pick your brain about the logistics of such a thing, if you don’t mind.

Wait ‘til all of you willin’— Or unwilling subjects taste this new recipe I just tried. Insanely good. Like super, duper insanely awesome. I mean, if you like chocolate and raspberries. Which, duh, of course– Everyone should. And, yes, I am open to requests, as long as you’re willing to be a taste tester.

Tegan brought one in for me and I must admit that you weren’t bragging for nothing. How did it go over with the other occupants of the house?

Whoever said Mondays aren’t for driniking clearly hasn’t done the drinking on a Monday, because Mondays are fuC+KINg GrEAT for drinkgin! I’mma be at Johnny’s ‘til the hot bartender lady yeets my ass, if anyone wan’ts to learn about the beauty of Monday drinking from an exprt!

I don’t know anyone who’s ever said that, and probably for good reason because they wouldn’t be allowed in my bar. Not that I mind the company, but you seem to have made yourself a home here.
