I finally got around to finishing The Debrief today, and honestly—you're amazing! The way you mixed interviews with flashbacks is so cool. I've read plenty of hidden-omega fics, but the idea of Max being a hidden omega is just chef's kiss. He's always been so alpha—fiercely competitive, crashing and bouncing back like some alphas do—and then everyone finds out that the best driver on the grid, aggressive on track, the one who does over a thousand sim laps off track, so talented and so hardworking, is actually an omega? That just makes him even more captivating! And the fact that he's an omega makes people notice the things he used to hide or that went unnoticed before, so it shifts everyone's perception of him—but Max is still Max. If he was born an omega, he'll drive as an omega. Plus, your Max chooses to reveal it himself—he comes out on his own terms. Sure, he's still as hungry for wins as any other driver, but look at what he's achieved—he's so powerful. Max is no longer defined or limited by his designation.
The Norstappen in this fic is as adorable as ever—they truly deserve all the happiness. I really love the idea of genuine feelings hidden beneath the mask. On the themes of identity and the courage to love, Max's fears and Lando's lack of self-confidence, along with the push-and-pull between their on-track rivalry and the tenderness in private spaces—reading it all felt heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. Thank you for writing this story. It brought me so much joy that I couldn't help but pour all these thoughts out.

I... I don't really know what to say. (Edited to add: I say that, but then waffle on for several paragraphs...)
Like, it's so rare for The Debrief to get new readers nowadays, which makes sense because it's the third story in the series and also... well, I don't update regularly. Basically the story's been running since Alpha in the Mirror, which I started posting... January of 2025 I think? So it's been a long time, and it's still not finished. Plus the less-than-popular pairing: I get why people would skip the story.
But it's messages like these that always make me go back to my story and add something new to drive it forward. Because I'm reminded once again there's still people waiting on the story's conclusion and you deserve it for sticking with these idiots in love for so long. (150k+ words in the series, can you believe it??)
I haven't written anything in over a month, with work and new pets keeping my attention elsewhere. But I'm going to write today, and it's because of your lovely message. Thank you. For sticking with the story, and for giving me your thoughts. It means more than you know. <3

Got the Fanzone Grandstand for the entire weekend because I really enjoyed the fanzone last year so I figured I'd stay a bit closer this year. I'll probably still do a lot of walking around the general admission areas because there's some real cool places to take photos.
