i know it can get discouraging when nobody seems interested. yet still, you soldier on, you introduce people to your funny little critters, you talk about your characters and post about them. crossovers are made, creativity is nurtured and niche bits expanded upon—it is inspiring!

the love you pour into your muse(s) is wonderful. the dedication you have to simply enjoy your character—even if you have little interaction—is awe-inspiring. every drabble you write, ask you answer, worldbuilding you do… it’s all magnificent.

HEY, FUCK YOU, MATE! KANO DOES NOT RAMBLE! It's not his fault if people are just too damn slow to catch whatever amazing joke or valuable piece of information he was willing to share with them.

And here he still was, out of the goodness of his black little heart-- TELLING HER TO GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!

"Ya heard me... what are ya? Uh... 14? 16?" You can just never tell with them. All he knew was that she was way too young to be here, and to be around someone like him. Taking in her understandably indignant reaction, the mercenary would let out an unceremonious snort, "An' don't try to act older than ya are, ya can't fool Uncle Kano~! Ya lil' ankle biter, ya..."

Huh, big company conglomerate?

... Now, that was a curious question. He hadn't' actually expected her to ask him this of all things. The little lady was just full of surprises, wasn't she? A stubborn and nosy little one, that should have long since fucked off to God knows where. But at least, not a fuckin' twat who thought that they were better than him! ... Anyway.

Kano's curiosity was somewhat piqued then, as he narrowed his gaze at her.

"Well, I might 'ave worked for a couple..." There was no hiding the dust of pride that was now present upon those smug features, however. The Black Dragon Leader having always been rather proud of his ever growing list of clients. Tipping his head back just a little, his gaze never leaves hers. Appearing just a little too casual, if not relaxed now. When considering this situation was anything but that, "An' who's askin', hm...?"

Little girls like her shouldn't be meddling around in his neck of the woods, after all.

However, Xiaoyu kept that thought to herself, that wasn't the main issue here. All that mattered was his answer to her question.

"My age doesn't matter." She chose to respond with instead.

Hearing that he may have worked with a few was already enough of a red flag, but it didn't exactly mean that he would be with G Corporation or the Mishima Zaibatsu. At best, he might not have even heard of them, which would be rather impossible with all the violence they spread throughout the world.

Even innocent civilians knew exactly who they were, given how much they've turned their lies upside down. And the unfortunate part is that she couldn't even lie about knowing the perpetrator.

"Any that's known for starting wars or violence to innocent people? Or maybe even involving tournaments?"

Xiaoyu thought that would make it extremely obvious as to who she may be alluding to, so if he would know that or not would be up to how he responds.

If he didn't know about either of them, then that clearly means he wasn't from any place that she would know of and that begs the question; where is he from?

Or even more importantly, where was she?

"Haah... haah..." Kurami clutches her chest and looks at Xiaoyu as she assessed the damage on her body. No broken bones, thankfully. Her skirt was torn a bit and her veil were on the ground, but ultimately no real damage was dealt.

"I- I'm fine! Mostly!" The purplette piped. "They really put up a fight!" She exclaims, half angry, half exhausted. The ball of distortion hovering above her right shoulder vanishes. She falls to her knees and coughs a few times.

The only thing that kept her going throughout all that was several promoted Kings and a Bishop. It was too close quarters to sacrifice a piece for Queen, and a Pawn's secondary move would only make things harder for her and her ally. Those were her only options...

She felt trapped, even mentally, and all it took was a few street thugs and a lack of coordination...

She curses herself. Purple eyes quiver with resentment. Rage. Next time, she'll—

...

Kurami grabs her veil, brings herself to her feet, blinks twice and looks at Xiaoyu again.

"Y- yeah. I hope we don't have any more run-ins with them. Haha!" She smiles, then looks over Xiaoyu. "What's your name?" She asks.

"Oh, uh, my name is Xiaoyu. Can call me Xiao if you want to. What's yours? Though, are you sure you're okay? If you need some help, I can help you. Whatever it is you need."

Even if she just needed someone to walk her somewhere, she wouldn't mind.

"Or maybe if you need to contact someone? I'd offer to take you, but doing that as a stranger probably wouldn't be very smart."

Not like they knew each other, and it would be hard to trust people these days. Fighting alongside someone didn't automatically make them good people.

HM, YEAH, he thought he was a stupid fucking name anyway. It was honestly a lame ass title for a group of superheroes (Or well, a group of people with super powers). The less they call their shitty ruby team that, the better.

"... y'know what? Forget it, girly." Her baffled response was all the answer he needed, he suppose. She wasn't one of them, she wasn't a part of any of this. Even Kano himself found it ridiculous if LORD THUNDERPANTIES-IN-A-BUNCH actually recruited little lasses like her. Regardless of whether she had a black belt or not.

What left her mouth next would earn an irritated roll of his eyes, however. Even if it wasn't her intention, it definitely still rubbed him the wrong way, "An' do I look like a fuckin' alien to ya?!" ... ahhhh, Kano knew that he was being too patient then when he simply let out a deep sigh after. He should have told her to fuck off from the very beginning, really. Instead of still trying to shoo her away then like some quokka that had invaded his personal space, "Anyway, I'm givin' you a chance 'ere. You don't know what the hell's going on, and it's best that it stays that way... so turn around while ya still can, aye? This is a fight only the GROWN UPS are suppose ta be a part of."

The man did say he wasn't some sort of alien, and there was no physical part of him on the outside that made her think otherwise.

"Grown ups?" Xiaoyu now proceeded to fold her arms. She couldn't guess his age, but he was clearly older than her. Standing here analyzing this man by physical appearance alone wasn't going to help so she chose to push that thought process to the waste bin.

"You don't work for some big company conglomerate, do you?" Play it safe. Don't be specific about which company you mean.

Was this yet another one that doubted her? From a first glance, he didn't look all that threatening, not when she's faced devils and all sorts of different mythical creatures. Even going against normal men, well normal was debatable, but they looked normal enough. 'That's debatable too...' The thought briefly crossed her mind but she quickly shoved the thoughts out of her head to focus back on the man in front of her. She knew better than to judge from looks, as she hated when people did the same to her. Xiaoyu paused in thought, folding her arms, before responding. "If you intend to try hurting me, or anyone else, think again." This time she moved her arms to the side of her body, making sure she was set and ready for anything.

AND THAT'S WHAT HE GOT for trying to play nice just this once, huh? Just who was she, anyway? The third bloody caballero to those two KUNGFU PRICKS that think they were better than him? It would earn a roll of his eyes, that lil' Miss tweety bird here was already accusing him of being the BIG BAD here that was gonna hurt everybody-- And well, he sure as hell could be if you caught him on a good day.

But, fortunately for her, today was not going to be that day.

"Well, don't say I didn' warn ya, girly." He would huff out with a single wag of his finger, "And c'mooon! I'm not gonna hurt anyone here!" Not yet, at least. But the accusation was enough to earn a somewhat indignant response on his part, especially as he took in that laughably adorable defensive stance of hers, "We're all on the same side, right? Wit all of us bein' uh-- earth-rimmers an' all?"

"Huh? Earth...what?"

He's saying that he wouldn't hurt anyone, which was a good sign, but his words already confused her. Was he saying that they were all from Earth? That much was a given, because where else would they be from? Based on his accent, he obviously wasn't from a non-English speaking country.

"If you mean that we're all living on Earth, then yes. I don't think there's anywhere else you'd be living. You aren't saying you're some sort of alien, right?"

Ngl, she's one of the reason that I did alot of exercise, got in shape and cos her (which usually I barely cos the character that I'd like) Moreover, I was so happy to see her have alot of moments with Jin both netflix anime and lasted Tekken /sob Im thrilled like proud mama (Ofc, finally she could hang out with guy she'd love)
