"It's not profound regret," Morrison tells Fresh Air. "It's just a wiping up of tiny little messes that you didn't recognize as mess when they were going on." Her latest book is God Help the Child.
i remember someone said to me that they have no regrets about life. Â and he said it like that was some great wisdom. Â but i think it is toni morrison who is being truly authentic in her humanity. Â to say, i regret everything. Â is much more honest and light-filled. Â

highly relevant to my polymer physics studies
How is it so healthy at the end?
this is Viktorija JukonytÄ and pretty much her hair is her entire claim to fame, iâm sure she has an A1 haircare routine
Leak her routine
I am guessing she trims regularly and takes care of her ends really well. Most people that grow out their hair make the mistake of not trimming every two months or even more often to prevent splitting. Once the hair is already splitting, thereâs no way to save it and it just goes further and further up if you donât cut it off.
WOW! This I donât know her name but this is truly amazing!  #blackwomen #BlackGirlMagicÂ
Her name is Swabra Swaleh Breik, and there is more to the story.Â
She saved the mother and the baby.
Her son was sick
Her partner wasnât available, working in a hospital a long way away
Her co-workers were all also working, over-worked.
If she didnât perform the surgery the mother and/or the baby would have died.
She was fired for unreleated reason
The hospital would not okay her study leave to advance her skills because they said she might not come back
From what I can gather, they try everything they can to ensure doctors are unskilled enough to keep their pay down, and if they reach enough time on staff that they would need to be paid more they are let go in favor of fresh lesser experienced doctors
Swabra spoke out over the feeling of wanting to give up
And despite pushing hard to help people and still get paid a fair wage and obviously saving lives even in tough situations⌠people have decided to criticize her.
âThatâs dangerous to the babyâ
âThatâs dangerous to the patientâ
âThatâs unprofessionalâ
She saved lives you assholes
And she did it while being worn down by a corrupt system that actually bought 2 million dollar Christmas trees.
No lies. County govt said it had no money to upgrade doctorsâ pay but have huge sums for paltry, momentous Christmas trees. Drs been on strike for 3wks while govt act like the Gen Pop can do without medics Itâs a shit storm we live in.
Most heroes of progression are never mentioned in history books.
the rich: you donât need money to be happy!
everyone else: ok, then pay more taxes.
the rich: um⌠no

If you think about it, all these thinkpieces about how Millenials are âkillingâ various industries reveal a pretty colossal sense of entitlement.
Under normal circumstances, if a given industry finds itself unable to sell products to a given market demographic, weâd say itâs that industryâs fault for failing to offer products that that demographic is interested in buying.
It only makes sense to blame the target demographic itself if weâre assuming that the established industries have some intrinsic right to that demographicâs disposable income thatâs being denied - which is clearly nonsense.
And I thought Millennials were supposed to be the entitled ones?
Iâm no capitalist, but us'nât this how the free market works? Now these old conservative fucks are complaining about the system they set up?
Well, sure. The thing youâve gotta understand about the political Right is that the vast majority of them are only in favour of the âfree marketâ when they believe they stand to directly benefit from it. The moment they perceive that theyâre getting the short end of the stick, suddenly theyâve got a whole raft of arguments for why people* are morally obligated to adopt consumption patterns that contravene their own economic interests for the greater good.
* carefully excluding themselves, of course.
