These are small steps leading up to this. Just less than a year ago the distribution of Estrogen was made ten times harder and hormone replacement therapy laws upped the transitioning age from 18 to 21. Please speak for us.

Amazigh women's hairstyles are more than style. They're protection, tradition, and Identity. One of the most common styles is tishbit : long, thick braids. They protect hair from harsh enrivonments like the Atlas Mountains, reduce breakage and keep hair healthy. Braids carry meaning. Geometric shapes are often woven in - triangles, for example, symbolize fertility. Each tribe has its own signature styles, passed down through generations. For special occasions, silver pieces are woven in, sometimes with Amazigh motifs, thread, shells, or stones. Hair turns into a crown of meaning. For weddings, there's a sacred tradition. Brides wear seven braids because seven is a sacred Amazigh number. Silver coins, coral, turquoise, and gems are woven in for luck, protection, and blessings. Every braid is a message. It's not just a hairstyle, it's a language of resilience, beauty, and belonging.
