I can only speak for the characters that I wrote and played.
Dr. Coomer is an old fart & a little out of touch in ways you'd find surprising given he likes the internet and video games, but also in touch in ways you'd find surprising given that he's out of touch, so I think he'd have a firm enough grasp of what furry fandom / culture is, but his answer would be something really bog-standard sounding & kinda stereotypical, like a wolf or a laborador retriever. That or he'd say some crap like "ah, like the funny animal c'toons of my youth... You know, I always felt a deep kinship with that Bug Bunny fellow... Maybe it's something like that!" I don't think he'd put too much thought into it.
Father Grigori doesn't understand the concept. You'd try to explain it to him, and he would immediately decide on "a raven, like my holm. Or perhaps the noble sheep dog." and that'd be the end of it. Three to five days later he'd run up to you in a cold sweat, raving about how difficult this all is, & how he can't pick between "the wise proboscis monkey" or "the ferocious bear, coming to the defense of the old and infirm, as in the bible". It would stress him out & he'd overthink it a lot.
Food Suit's on-board AI would make a comment about wanting to be a human & then say "USER PRANKING DETECTED. GOT YOU SO GOOD. REVEALING FURSONA." & print out an ASCII image of an 8 foot fat dragon woman wide as she is tall with tits to match. Or a tapeworm. (Tape-wyrm?)
The blue gnome's fursona is an elephant.
The red gnome wouldn't tell you & anything he'd say about it would be a lie, even if it wasn't.
Yeah Hank wouldn't really know what that is. I think you'd try to explain the concept to him at a bar & he'd be like "So it's like a werewolf, but for every animal? Heh, bad ass... Can I be a dead animal? 'Cuz I wanna be one of those scary ass dinosaurs. RAAAAHH!! Y'know?" He wouldn't specify a dinosaur. I think he'd be supportive of it if someone in his life meaningfully connected with it, like that one guy from Insane Clown Posse with his kid.
BBVRAI Skylar is afforded no interiority; in a rare moment of lucid thought I think she would feel a connection to the black-tailed jackrabbit.
The cartel homunculus fursona would be a hawk.
Real Actual Holly Hollowtones Who Spoke One Line In BBVRAI As A Joke would say "I think I feel more of a connection to selkies than to a fursona these days."
