S Tier

Kain - We're TWO dragoons, there's nothing we can't do! Even if we lose I will have a ridiculous amount of fun.

Onion Knight - My favorite non-Kain character to play with. My sweet little onion baby who I will protect with my life and raise with love and care. The length of his URs at level 9 means I can probably chain even with Dragoon's Pride's length. I like leaving mobs at 1 or 2 hits for him, and will hold off rivals if it means he can level in peace.

Krile - My preferred support, with straightforward heals that don't take 2 minutes to come back up again, allowing me to get away with not bringing Hope. Also sometimes they will use Holy against rivals and I love to see it. My only request is to please wait for me to jump before you teleport. It gives me a heart attack whenever I jump to our rival's frontlines and Krile's also there. I got this covered! Please run!

Rinoa - Angel wing is broken, and I'd much rather be on the side of the character that can kill you in like 5 autos than not.

Prompto - Prom proms! A character made to work in tandem with his allies. Every Prompto I've met has been pleasant, and it's fun picking off those they lumen.

A Tier

Lightning - She's fast! She clears crystals! She's got decent boss damage! She can harass our rivals! All around a good ally.

Firion - Excellent PvPer, which is nice since I don't really go out of my way to PvP. Has less boss damage compared to other melees but that's fine, I can handle that.

Terra - Thank you miss burst sniper. Please keep burst sniping our rivals I'm not too good at that.

B Tier

Iroha - She's fine, and has more range than I do which is nice if we're 2-melee-no-ranged but us both being squishy makes me nervous. Thank you for the Fuga chains.

Gaia - Along with Iroha, I rarely get queued alongside her. I feel like her burst window is a bit short, which isn't great for me since mine is very long.

Balthier - Depends on the build, really. While I do like having someone else handling the PvP, his burst damage is minimal so if he's not ramza-ing it to you, it gets pretty frustrating.

Cloud - He exists. Not much to say, really. Omnislash being so long and also multihit is great for chaining Dragoon's Pride.

WoL - Honestly would be higher on this list if I hadn't had a streak of bad WoL players recently. Supreme Soul is really good and I like chasing after rivals with it outside of burst. I also appreciate being protected during burst, but unfortunately, not all WoLs do this.

C Tier

Zidane - Highly dependent on the pilot. A Zidane that dedicates himself to stealing BRV and Ramza-ing it is a fantastic asset to the team. A Zidane that doesn't is a massive liability.

Clive - Like Firion, Clive's a great PvPer. Unlike Firion, Clive players have a singular braincell that makes them want to PvP 24/7 even if I'm ready to burst chain with them. I am tired of their shit. I hate playing with Clive, I hate playing against Clive.

Rikku - There are good Rikku players and there are bad Rikku players. 90% of Rikku players are bad, and I'd rather not roll those dice. If I get one more Rikku that uses her URs for iframes at 3k bravery I am going to lose it. Whenever Rikku uses Mega Vitality right at match start it makes me nervous.
