Location Assistant: “I worked locations on this show and it was a shit show from the beginning and I remember when this happened. They kept production schedule even after he was struck. Terrible. 😢”

Say what you want about whether or not Jensen is responsible for production ignoring safety measures, but he DEFINITELY gave production permission to continue IMMEDIATELY after Bryan nearly died. As if nothing had happened… I have no doubt antis would call Jared soulless if he pulled this.

D.I. Technician: “They are absolutely culpable as they willfully didn't stop production after the gaffer announced that lightning was 4 1/2 miles away. I was literally 20 feet away when it happened. It's total bullshyt!! I'm sorry Bryan...love you man.”

Someone asked him if they’re suing, the response was: “They did...it's taking a long time...on purpose.”

Bryan’s spouse also said this: “We are still embroiled in the lawsuit which could take years from what I'm told. Nevertheless, it doesn't pay our bills right now. And in their minds, just like in his, Jared is the reason they're not successful and living a life they think they deserve.

Yep. He did this to his co star and fanned the flames. It’s why none of his co stars want to work with him. There’s other spn co stars that could have thrown him a bone, nobody did. Nobody really did for TB either, he had to beg for it.

You can really see how they just put everything on Jared even when it’s not his fault. The way they talk about the finale somehow this is all Jared’s doing even though he didn’t write it???? They just take it out on him. It’s not really about Jared himself it’s what Jared represents to them. Everything that didn’t go their way.

If you can spend millions of $ on a Led Zeppelin song the least you can do is ensure decent working conditions for your employees. But then again this is the guy who thinks people wanting decent pay and conditions are 'whiny bitches'.

Compassion doesn't seem to be a word in Jensen's lexicon. I hope that poor man's lawsuit is successful.

It’s painfully obvious that Jared isn’t loved by all, but it’s interesting that his loudest haters are poisonous, lying freaks who are obsessed with him on the internet because they think hating on him will elevate Jensen, or they think hating on him will somehow make time reverse and let their pathetic ship on a tv show happen. Or they are people who attack him because they are petty about him sharing about his MHI. The quality of Jared’s haters are a bigger endorsement in favor of Jared than they think.

Of course there are rational people who don’t care for Jared, but most of those people don’t “hate him,” they are vaguely irritated or indifferent. That’s true of literally everyone in the world. Some people, or their personality quirks, just aren’t for you. And that’s fine.

As to his “humble goofball act,” I actually agree a little bit. Jared does play up being a goofball as a way to not intimidate others and put people at ease or entertain. With him being number 1 on the call sheet for 2 shows, as well as being an executive producer who was actually hands on, Jared can’t just be a goofball. Jensen himself has told more than one story or instance where Jared stood up for guest actors or against plot lines to the showrunner and directors on set. There is strength and seriousness to him that the fans don’t necessarily see very often.

Also, Jared being humble is not an act. Don’t get me wrong, he’s more aware of his own skill and what he’s earned by being in his position in the business for over 2 decades, than he ptojrcts to fans. But that’s earned confidence, not unfounded ego. He is still humble, however, and it isn’t an act because it’s something he lives in his professional career when he constantly credits everyone around him for the work they do, and the contributions they make to his projects. He very rarely tells self-glorifying stories or draws attention to himself at the expense of others, but is quick to be self-deprecating. This isn’t an act. It’s just his actual behaviour.

No actor gives away their whole personality to the fans, unless they are incredibly shallow or unskilled. Jared has a certain persona in public (as does Jensen, btw), but I think more of who he actually is sneaks out than not.

Hell , I even have a work persona and have had one to various degrees on every job I’ve worked, and I think you essentially need that when dealing with people in a more formal or professional setting.

Like Hologram C, I too have met Jared (at cons for me). And while I absolutely understand that he’s working and “on” doing those occasions, the way he treats fans is still very telling. I’ve experienced: tighter than necessary hugs, funny joking conversations, his intense focus while your talking or he’s talking to you, eye contact that is almost too intensely focused, telling me funny anecdotes about his USO trip, holding my hand and thanking me for being there. Not one of the things I mentioned is “a given” when meeting celebs at a con. He gives something of himself to fans, be it time, attention, or gratitude. Even if he doesn’t feel these things as deeply as the fans, he still takes the time and makes the effort to do these things. That in itself is going above and beyond and it shows something about his character. He’s generous and he cares enough about people to want them to have a good experience.

The same can’t be said for just any celebrity, including ones at the SPN cons (Misha, I’m looking at you), even ones with “lesser roles” who have more time to connect because they have less people clamouring for their attention, if they wanted to.

This is a side note, but the SPN actors who have impressed me with giving extra time or attention to most people, not just favourites, hot girls or frequent con-goers are Jared, Matt Cohen, Alex Calvert and David Haydn-Jones (though I’ve heard some bad crap about him and I do think there’s a level of insincerity to his attention), and Rob Benedict. I’ll give Jensen an honourable mention because I do believe he tries to give people a good experience with him too, but he’s not as outgoing as Jared by nature and is a bit more standoffish (I can relate). I’ve had a few tiny moments with him that felt like the real him sneaking through when I think I surprised him with something.

Anyway, it’s easy to hate on a celebrity like Jared and call him a fake, but his words and actions in public are all we are entitled to know about him, and those paint a picture of a man who gives credit to others and takes the time to govern strangers a special experience. And that’s enough for me to respect him. He’s kind when he doesn’t have to be.

Let me get the unpleasant one out of the way first.

Misha, who I did not speak to or seek an autograph from, I watched from a distance and attended about 10 minutes of his lone panel at NC 21.

He’s a dick. Seriously. His panel at NC had about a 40% attendance (compared to every other headliner, who packed them in. DJ Qualls had a packed, laughing crowd, for instance).

He ignored fans whenever he was off stage, even as they pathetically called for him with cutesy “Misha, Misha” when he was walking back to his auto table. No eye contact and complete silence and zero smiling. He was stone faced with every fan at his (short) auto line unless they came up to him gushing about him, then he was all smiles and superficial charm.

In the first ten minutes that I listened to his panel, he mentioned Jensen about three times and made a dig at Jared. I left due to disinterest and also to apply makeup for my J2 photo op!

Jensen was warm, and kind, and a gentleman in every single interaction I’ve had with him.

The very first time I met him in Pitts ‘17, I was a shaking nervous wreck. He opened his arms wide and said “come here, bring it in” when I started saying things like I can’t believe it’s you and I can’t believe your real, oh my god I’m going to die. Stupid fan girl shit meeting a very handsome celebrity for the very first time.

He opened his arms and I fell right into him and he hugged me tight. He also squeezed my shoulders several times as I said more stupid fan girl shit and smiled a warm, genuine smile that crinkled his eyes.

Several observations about Jensen from these combined cons—he always asked permission to hold a child and he was always so gentle and sweet with fans’ children.

He met fans with the same energy they brought. If they approached him predatorily and with sexual vibes he didn’t respond well. He would smirk but it was hollow. And he DID NOT like when people grabbed on him and tried to kiss him.

If people approached him with warmth and sincerity and true humble nerves (like myself) he was very warm and kind and sweet right back.

(Btw, he was all muscle and warmth and like velvet when I held him and hugged him. It was like hugging a panther or something. Good lord.)

Ruth, Richard and Rob were so very sweet and fun. Rob’s eyes are crystalline blue. Richard is funny and just as charming as his Gabrielle/Loki personas. Ruth is adorable.

Jared. My darling Jared.

Eye contact for days. Sincere listening. Sweet and humble. Called me “Darlin” a few times, because of course he didn’t know my name, but it didn’t make it any less sweeter. I did joke at Pitts ‘17 during a J2 photo op that we were J cubed, because I’m Julie with Jensen and Jared. He gave me a high five, then joked that it wasn’t a very high five because I’m short (5”3) and stretched my arm wayyy up and did another high five which he called a “slightly higher five.” 🤣 seriously cute with the dad jokes.

I could go about Jared forever. What a gorgeous man in every particular.

Pardon my fat self. I’m a lot smaller these days due to better diet and diabetes management and mounjaro.

Long post/reply, sorry. I have a hoard of observations and stories to tell from the cons.

So trust me: Misha is a dick.

Jensen is reserved but a gentleman and will give back what you give, and lord help you if you piss him off.

The interviewer ask how different it feels going from no 1 in call sheet in supernatural to playing SB in TB. And jensen doesn't deny, just get on with it to answer

Another part is Danneel is the self insert. None of these people can explain why they like this woman or obsess over her that doesn’t end in “Jensen’s wife.” They are living through her as well so they need that marriage to be real and successful. They seem nervous and insecure to me. They see the writing on the wall too but can’t accept it.

I am sorry previous one went before i could type mistakenly. But these people are so fucking stupid. Jensen not getting his so called finale was due to Jared. He is the main character energy. Why? Because writer didn't give any content to Jared. Did Jared ever complained.? Did Jensen support him then? I never saw them say this. They love to call sam as 3rd wheel. But one time dean become 2nd wheel, suddenly they are crying. Why this hypocrisy???

They did not have creative control. Jared and Jensen could make minor adjustments at times like improvising lines but not major storylines. If that were the case there are many storylines and scenes that wouldn’t have happened. Jensen never would have had that embarrassing flying scene, Sam’s entire season 8 storyline wouldn’t happen because Jared thought it was OOC, Dean’s storylines would have probably lasted longer, etc.

They completely made up this narrative that Jared just didn’t support Jensen and it’s his fault Dean was killed. More so than the writers that actually made that decision. It’s a psychotic excuse to blame Jared for everything.

Furthermore Jared WAS the main character. Him doing his job and not demanding the writers change everything which they would have said no to anyways is not having main character energy. I thought these people were constantly trying to drag him for being unprofessional? Now you have issues when he does his job? And why the hell is this more Jared’s fault? It’s not HIS character??? Does Jensen need him to hold his hand or something?
