As can be seen from the picture below, it seems Rossetti wanted to put a major emphasis on the decisive role that chivalric virtues played in defining guido's poetry and in shaping dante's early literary career through him; but what truly appeals to the modern eye is the choice to convey said message through an oversized t-shirt that reminds us of today's true babygirl fashion. What many don't know, however, is that this trend already existed in the past: they called it the Cunty though Comfy style (see wording on the t-shirt), an often overlooked fashion revolution that was born within the preraphaelite circle but that was quickly buried by the wildean dandy.

The modern observer is shocked to see Guido fitting so easily into those clothes as if he were made for them, and makes us question the traditional reception of his poetry today. Was Rossetti perhaps a visionary genius whose enlightened ideas we should reconsider? Whatever the answer, this never seen before version certainly has a lot to tell us to this day!

this one was printed in 1968 and, in case you couldn't notice, it very clearly belonged to mary, but also to rosanna, who i assume was mary's relative because they both used the same last name, but as her name appears only once i assume mary is the girl reponsible for dante's sick as fuck bangs on the cover:

and then, my favourite, the absolute silliest:
