TODAY I WAS ON A RUN AND I STILL HAD LIKE 4km and 800m d- left and like 22 minutes to finish it…and mind you it’s a pretty technical descent, no clean trail at all. AND I WAS SO CONVINCED THAT I COULDNT STAND A CHANCE TO CATCH THE BUS (which passes only 1 time every hour) IN TIME AND I STILL TRIED MY BEST AND I WAS 2 MINS LATE…BUT PLOT TWIST…SO WAS THE BUS. SO I HAD ONE OF THE BEST RUNNING DOWNHILL PERFORMANCES OF ALL TIME + I DID CATCH THE BUS!!!!! THAT WAS PURE EUPHORIA FOR ME

what’s also funny is that I spent all morning while climbing uphill doubting myself and wondering if it’s better to not even try for the race. that maybe a year more of training would make me confident.

but something always has to prove me wrong.

I almost gave up getting to the bus in time and I was really about to stop at the hut and stay there for a while, but I’m so so so so glad that I TRIED.
