Being in Voxâs presence wasâŚdifferent to say the least.Â
He led you through the tower with such confidence only an owner could actually master. Employees left and right jumped away at the thought of being in Voxâs way. His hands were still on your shoulders, a grin plastered on his face.Â
You donât know if you really liked that.
He first brought you at his office, cause of course he did. You rolled your eyes when he wasnât looking, he tried so hard to impress you at some point it was getting a little pathetic. Vox towered over you, his screen suddenly in your face, way to close for your liking. âWell then! First up is our news anchors, Katie killjoy and Tom trenchâ He forcefully pushed you forward.
Oh you have seen them alright.
You didnât like Katie at all, always being the bitch. (At least those were vaggies words when she caught you watching the news once), you didnât really see Tom in the spotlight, partly because of the way she had treated tom in the broadcast.
âThe fuck?â Was the first thing youâve heard from the demon hostess, âVox, sir, why is there an human in the studio?â She spit out like being around you was like catching an disease. âI donât mind you being here though~â Katie played with her hair, grinning ear to ear. She easily towered over vox, you didnât even want to be in her presence.
But you couldnât simple walk out as well, Vox would get leverage of your fears.Â
You looked up at her, your arms crossed as you unconsciously took a step closer to Vox. Not because you trusted him, far from it, but because he was literally the only person you knew. He noticed, of course he did, but he said nothing and just waited how you would handle the situation.
âIâm so thrilled to be here as well, canât you tell?â You spoke in total sarcasm, making a few camera crew demons giggle a bit, until they got silenced by Katieâs stare, a small growl coming out of her. She was about to say something, but she got shut up quickly by the mere glare Vox threw at Katie. âThis, my dear little human, is Katie killjoy.â Vox introduced you to her.
âWow, even her name fits her vibe.â Was mumbled by you.Â
The studio froze, as demons stare at you in disbelieve. For some of them it was ages since they saw a human in flesh and blood, for others, they had never seen one in their entire afterlife. So the mere thought of a human, disrespecting a demon.
You didnât know if you were playing a stupid move, or being a bit too bold for your own liking.Â
â..Excuse me?â Katie said slowly, her smirk gone from her face as her tone became quite sharp. No one laughed, if something would have dropped on the ground, it would be loud.Â
You just ignored her, which made it even worse in comparison to other..incidents that happened in the span of the week. As you wondered around, you could hear the conversation happen.
I mean it was hard not to, that bitch was loud.
âYouâre REALLY choosing that, of me??â Katieâs tone became high, strung up in emotions of her fantasy of being her bossâs favourite. âLetting it wonder around like they own the place and-â
âAnd you do?â Vox looked bored, looking up at Katie as if she was just a speck of dust he could easily replace. Which he could.
âItâs funny Katie, you talk all about your studio, but last time I checked, you were just an employee to me.â He slowly moved forward, cowering her into this corner that she couldnât easily come out of. Anxiety was filled on her face, as voxâs temper slowly got the better of him.
âSo why oh why should I listen to the lowlife that has called herself important?â His eye slowly swirled, his signature move that he pulled out when they werenât behaving the way he wanted them too.
You looked at tom, who for a demon was quite short, still taller than you though, but not quite reaching the heights his other demons buddies were reaching. â..What a bitch.â You spoke softly, as tom just chuckled uneasily. âThatâs Katie.â
Katieâs bravado cracked, âI-I just- Sir-âÂ
âGet to work.â Was all Vox said, a scowl on his face as Katie just stood there, slightly shaking but trying to mask it up. You can tell, youâve been in that position in this place before.
You slowly gave her a sympathetic look, as you slowly but surely walked towards the door. The air felt heavy now, as Vox strides over to you, opening the door to his office. Which, conveniently, was right at the place of the studio. You felt his hand hovering over your lower back, trying to resist the urge to shudder at the mere feeling of his hand being placed there.
You looked over your shoulder, feeling Vox already looked at you with this certain look you couldnât quite place yet. And with that, he guided you inside his office, and shut the door.
The two of you alone in his office now.
âââââââ
His office was quite spacious. He had a big desk with an ever bigger tank behind it placed, if you squinted you saw some sea creatures swim. You slowly walked around, carefully, not knowing what could set him off.
He observed you, the way an predator would observe their prey, which in a way you knew you were. He stayed quiet, for once.Â
âYou know why I like this office?â Voxâs voice suddenly filled the silence again, his voice casual. As if you were actually holding up an decent conversation with him. He slowly walked over to the tank, and tapped the glass a few times. His smirk evident on his face, as if he wanted to make you feel at ease
Why would he make you want to feel that way?
You abandoned that thought, as all the sudden this huge beast swam towards the glass. The eye was an camera lens, and the beast had sharp teeth. You almost couldnât realise it, but it was actually a shark. Your eyes widen, as you stepped a few steps forward, curiosity taking over your racial thinking.Â
âThis, is my baby shockwave!â Vox grinned, ear to ear. Like a proud father of a son, as if the mere guy wasnât mere 30 feet tall and couldnât take you out in one bite.
ââŚYou fixed a shark?â You asked Vox, looking up at him. âNo no sweetheart, Iâve upgraded him! He didnât need fixing.â You were confused, as you stood besides him with enough distance. How could this beast like creature live in the darkest depths of hell? Was that possible? And now that you think of it, where does the food and water come from? What is the source?
The shark, or Shockwave, as he was called, looked directly at you. The lens-eye zoomed in with a soft vibration hummed through the glass, making you feel it in your chest.
âGood, Heâs curious, couldnât blame him.â Vox yapped on, âif he had an opportunity, he would eat me.â You deadpanned, and as if on cue, shockwave opened his mouth, to showcase the lovely sharp teeth that could rip out your body parts if he wanted to.
âShockwave.â Vox tutted, scolding him. You didnât want to, but one of the corners of your mouth slowly lifted up, in a half smile that you couldnât control. You literally just seen him rip apart his employee (although you did find it quite satisfying, but you wonât kiss and tell) but yet, besides all that, he was extremely expressive.
You looked back at shockwave, who was intensely watching you now with his lens for eye. Your smile was soft, as you put your hand on the glass. âHeâs beautiful..â You spoke softer, and in the first time in a really long while, you let your shoulders relax a bit, just a tiny bit.
Vox had noticed it of course, stared at you for it was well. Why would you let go of this guard that you indeed build up? But seeing you at ease, with the shark who was acting like a damn puppy instead of the big and scary shark he should have been, made him more curious about you.
âHuh. He likes you.â It was more of a statement than an actual question, as Shockwave swam Circles in his tank, his tail wagging a bit more than usual. âWhatâs not to like about me?â You grinned from ear to ear, giggling at the little flips shockwave was suddenly interested in making.
You kept you hand on the glass, but looked at Vox again. âWell then, I might be a mortal, but Iâm not one for missing cues.â You spoke boldly, âYou miss it, donât you?â His voice shot right through you, making you pause in your movements.
âYou want to get back to the surface.â He spoke in a matter of fact kind of tone. You stayed silent, as you looked back at shockwave, who was doing anything to get your attention back. â..you say it like its a crime,â you murmured.
âYou donât look at this place like your home,â Vox continued, ignoring your murmurs, âyou look at it like a holding cell.â That made you think, think about the past few weeks that have gone by.Â
About husk teaching you how to shuffle cards, which you still had to practice. How angel did your make up, although you donât want to question where and how it was made here. How the company of Charlie and Vaggie always cheered you up when you felt down and how tea with Alastor was actually pretty pleasant.
You might be out of place, you do want to go home, but it wasnât as bad as vox is making it seem.
âYou arenât technically wrong.â You spoke gently, voxâs grin shit eating. You played into him, knowing he wants something from you, it wasnât for nothing that he brought you into his office today.
Fine, if he wants to play this game, youâll play it with him.
âI wouldnât mind going back to the surface..â You felt his hand on your lower back, slowly going to your waist. You blushed just softly, hoping that he didnât catch it, your stomach did this flip inside of it.
That wasnât supposed to happen.
âI wanna offer you a deal sweetheartâ He slowly guided you towards a chair, him towering over you with the showbusiness smile that you come to get annoyed at. He sat you down, as he sat on his desk, his legs crossed and his posture all grand, as if he won the biggest prize of you being here.
âHereâs the deal, Youâll spy on your dear family member for me,â he hovered over you, his screen brightness a little brighter than before. He really did remind you of an iPad. âYouâll report it to me, what he does, why he does it, how he does it.â He glared, his anger for Alastor boiling up to the surface, his hatred with him so heavy even you felt its impact.
âYou arenât seriously thinking Iâll be a spy?â You laughed in his face, finding the whole ideal so stupid you didnât have the words for. A sudden crash of claws on both of the chair armrest snapped you out of it. His nails dug into the chair, his body hovering over you. âYou want to try this again?â His voice was loud, like his speakers of a vocal cord got bass boosted out of this world.
âYou forget where you stand.â His voice was glitchy, as he glared at you. You did indeed forgot that despite being relatively safe, you were still the only humansurrounded with demons.
And the one before you wasnât quite keen on protecting you.
You tried to mask your fear, but you felt so small under his gaze, it shook you in your core. You tried to anchor yourself, grasping onto something. The chair, the floor, hell even that stupid painting of Vox himself that was hang up high. You didnât dare look at him, tears welling In your eyes as you aggressively blinked them back.
âJust because I havenât hurt you, doesnât mean I wonât.â Voxâs voice boomed again, your ears ringing cause of how loud it was. Your breathing was heavy, which he smirked at. âGood.â Was all he said as he circled back around, as you quickly tried to recollect yourself.
You survived cannibal town, you will survive this.
âLet me be very clear.â His voice was close to your ear, his shit eating grin displayed on his face. âI am not asking you to be a spy because I need you.â His finger dug into your cheek, his voice low. âDonât provoke me.â You hissed slightly, your cheek slightly bleeding from how sharp his fingers dug into them.
The lights of his office suddenly dimmed, making your stomach drop.Â
All of the sudden Vox was the only one being the light source. You immediately stood up, stepping away from him. This wasnât turning out to be a very bad idea to be alone with him.
Voxâs screen intensified, his eye expanded, spiralling slowly. He searched for your eyes, making an attempt to grab your jaw, have you not stepped away.
You held your head as the buzzing in your ears felt like it was piercing your skull. There was a pressure behind your eyes. âLook at me.â Vox said gently, smoothly and hypnotic. It pierced into your head as you stumbled back, away from the desk and shockwave.
You fell on the couch, as you dug your nails into his palm. Donât look, that was all it took. Just keep your eyes closed and donât look. You timed timed it, You just had to-
âSweetheart..I know you want to..â You heard his footsteps come closer, the click of his heel of his shoe loud and snapping you out of your concentration.
His nails dug at your face again, this time not harsh enough to cut, but definitely enough to pry them open. You trashed, your feet kicking at him as you screamed colourful insults at him. He grabbed your face, tilting it towards you, forcing you to make eye contact with his eyes.Â
You slumped just a little, your trashing slowly coming to a halt. âThere we go..â He cooed, holding you up easily with one hand. âWhy fight me am I right? This feels so much better doesnât it..â He spoke lowly, as you slowly fell into his trance.
âThatâs a good little mortal..â your body sagged, betraying you to what you were actually thinking,
Although what were you thinking?
âI can help you, just surrender yourself to me..â He whispered softly, as he pulled you up and onto his desk again. âYou just need me, just to trust me, and only me..â You leaned in, his voice sounded so nice and smooth in your head, like this echo masking all the noise from the outside.
He noticed you slacking, leaning in. His grinned again, his hand caressing your cheek. âThere we go..thatâs a good girl..â He spoke softly, âwas that so hard now huh? You could stay here perhaps? Be my little pet now.â He chuckled, as in the haze you leaned into his hand.
Oh that did wonders for his massive ego.
The spirals in your eyes was evidence that you were one hundred precent under his control. âLet me treat you huh..â He stepped closer, towering easily over you as you in your submissive state, looked up at him. âYou humans are so cute..â He chuckled, âYou will be my spy sweetheart, I wonât let you go, even if you are begging for me to do soâÂ
His hand hovered, small sparks of electricity coming out of it. âYou would want to make a deal with me, right sweetheart?â In your haze you looked at his hand, an droopy smile on your face. âYouâll sign your soul to me, to take care of you, wouldnât you want that hm..?â He spoke lowly, keeping you heavy into hypnosis.
Your hand slowly hovered over his, so close to grabbing it yet no quite yet. Something was still fighting his hypnosis. âThatâs it..I knew youâd find reason..â His eye intensified, so close to shaking it.
All of the sudden, the door of his office flew open and an shadow like tentacle grabbed Vox, catching the both of you of guard. It shined slightly green, as Vox got slammed against the ground. You immediately snapped out of your hypnotic state, grabbing your head as you groaned just slightly.
âWell what do we have here?â
You felt drowsy, as you catch yourself again. You looked back at the door, and found someone standing there that you could cry about seeing again.
Alastor.
âMy my, looks like I have just arrived in time.â Alastor hummed, slowly walking inside. You glanced at the clock, it was 10 minutes past the deadline you had secretly set. You felt yourself slump, relieve flooding your system, but you also knew this.
This wonât be pretty here.

âFor fucks sake Alastor, stop scaring the guests away!â Vaggie screamed, hand gestures rather wildly in the air as Alastor just grinned. You watched from a safe distance. It has been a couple of weeks since your injury and you are as good as new.
Charlie still kept a close eye on you though, which isnât really weird since you are the first human to survive an afternoon in Cannibal town and live to tell the tale.
âIâm afraid to ask but- What happened?â You leaned against angel, who youâve been getting close with these past couple of months. âToots, you really donât want to know.â He grinned at you, âHeâs been scaring away the guests for the past few days.âÂ
You bit back a laugh, eyes flicking back to Alastor. He noticed you sitting there and grinned extra wide. Vaggie noticed this and looked at him even more sternly that before, her eyes narrowed as she crossed her arms. âYou behave just fine when theyâre around.â
âThatâs because they are distinguished company my dear!â He leaned over, squeezing vaggieâs cheek. âThat, you are not!â
She slapped his hand away, grumbling something in Spanish that you couldnât quite understand. You stared a little, before giggling a little with angel. All of the sudden, Angel looked at you with a small curiosity. âHave you met Lucifer yet?â Which made you flinch a little.
âMeet the king of hell? Noooo Thank youâ You crossed your arms, shaking your head. âI rather not deal with royalty-!â You exclaimed, nervously fiddling with your hair. âYou do realise Charlie is technically the heir of Hell right?â Angel smirked, leaning his hand on his palm, as you both watched her.
Charlie was holding Vaggie back, as she kept cussing Alastor out. He was enjoying toying with her though, a chuckle escaping out of him, his forever grin on display.
ââŚThatâs different-!â You smacked Angels head softly, which he laughed loudly about. âSure toots, sure thing.â You were about to hit him again when suddenly a loud voice boomed out of nowhere.
âGOOOOOOD HELLISH AFTERNOONâ An alarmly loud voice boomed through the main living room from the hotel. You flinched, startled by the sudden loudness of it all.Â
Walking down the stairs was a demon dressed in all white, carrying a cane with an apple on top of it. His hat was huge compared to what he was pictured most of the time, and his gold rims did quite suit the king of hell.
You slowly walked around, unconsciously seeking out the comfort of Alastor as you kept looking up at the stairs. âCharlie!â He exclaimed, hugging his daughter for a quick second before looking up at her. âIâll be out for just a few! Donât ruin the place before I come..â He was walking past Charlie, then vaggie, then alastor before his eyes finally land on someone else.
You.
â..back.â He looked at you, confusion to recognition. ââŚWhy am I looking at an human? Alive? In hell?â His hands waved around dramatically.Â
Everyone was quiet, eager to wait what you would say to it all, even Alastor was quite curious how you would react to this one.
ââŚYouâre shorter than I can remember being mentionedâ You spoke out, making lucifers eyes widen and you panic, âI-I mean hell yeah-! Is that offensive to say here? Who am I kidding its hell ohm- We love short kings-!!â You tried to save it but your rambles just made Angel laugh harder.
âIf I wasnât already in hell than I wouldâve been asked to be dragged into it-â You mumbled, your face hiding into your hands.
ââŚShort king?â Lucifer repeated slowly.
Angel outright lost it, laughing so hard he had to brace himself against the bar. âOH- oh my god-â he wheezed, pointing at you. âFrom every stupid thing you could do, you choose to do it towards the king of hell-!â He fell down a bit, wheezing as husk just groaned and shake his head
Lucifer was genuinely laughed, âWell, thatâs a first. Are humans always like this? In their fleshy form?â You grabbed your arm, inspecting you. âIts quite refreshing having an human not scream in my face once in a while.â You scoffed a bit, âcan you blame them-â
âAlso- Please get your hands off me-?â You tried to ask it really kindly, but in no way could you bring this over to him without sounding rude. âI- Sorry your majesty-â Lucifer waved his hands, âOh please, call me dad- daddy? No that doesnât sound correct- Lu-! You can call me Lu or Luciâ He grinned at you, awkwardly leaning on his cane.
âHow very interesting has this display been!â Alastor spoke behind you, as he looked down at the king of hell, his hands on your shoulders, âIsnât it my dear?â You looked up at him, âI mean, its not something I wouldâve expected from the king of hell himself so-âÂ
The two of them stared at each other, literally tension sparks could be felt if they were flying around. âI-â you started, then stopped, choosing your words carefully. âI donât like being grabbed without asking- especially if I just know you-â Lucifer looked at you with an understanding gaze, nodding once, âThatâs reasonableâ
You made eye contact with Alastor, who stiffened a bit. âI talked about this with you as well, I donât like being treated fragile or stupid.â Your gaze was stern, but not angry. âJust because Iâm human, doesn't mean I need the protection in the hotel. I can speak for myself.â
Alastor fell silent, he wasnât used to people standing up against him, especially an human no doubt. You tried to read his eyes a little, You noticed in the several weeks youâve been here that the eyes were where his feelings often play out. ââŚI do appreciate you looking out for me..â You mumbled softly.
âIts nice to meet you Luci,â You held your hand out and smiled gently, âIâm Y/n, Alastor is family,â He shook it, smiling a bit less performed then he normally would. âDo not mind him, but please donât put me in the middle of all this, my body literally canât take thatâ You teased both of them, looking back at Alastor.
His eyes were there but a bit lost, not more conflicted about what happened then confused why he let it happen. He was supposed to be the almighty radio demon, striking fear across the ring. âWell then!â Lucifer broke him out of thought. âIâll be taking my leave,â he twirled his cane and grinned. âSee you later Bambi.â
With satisfaction, Lucifer left the building, taking care of whatever he has to take care of.
âWell, that was..somethingâ Angel grinned, and poked your cheek. âAt least I didnât call him âshort kingââ he teased you, as you grew embarrassed quickly, âI panicked-!â Alastor straightened, snapping out of whatever haze he was in and laughed. âDo try to panic more often, my dear.â He grinned razor-sharp, âThe panic suits you.â
âALASTOR-!â
ââââââââââ
The cameraâs were everywhere.
Cyan nails ticked on the desk, the âfuck alastorâ mug getting used as the media overlord was watching. He always was even if you think he wasnât. âThis little..Humanâ another voice spoke, as voxâs eyes avert just for a second of the live feed that was playing 24/7. âIs beginning to cause a little problem baby.â Smoke filled the air, leaving a little buzzed feeling in the air.
Vox didnât say anything yet, busy just looking at you.
âHe hasnât been to any shoots lately, and if he does? He comes in an hour late!â The moth ranted and ranted, his anger slowly coming on the surface. âI swear to god I will stomp down that hotel and get him myself I swear to god.â That made vox look up, grabbing Valentinos collar. His screen brightens, as he screamed âVAL.â With an distorted speaker, catching the attention of the other.
âWhat do you think, the public will think if you go over there? Huh?â Voxâs irritation was quite noticeable. âDo you think that would be a good look for you?â He let go, the moth letting out a little squeak. âForce him here, by inviting one of the reasons he stays there.â Voxâs grin was wide, as if he just came up with a genius master plan.
Val blinked, â..The human? You want me to invite the human?â He spoke of you as if you were dirt under his shoe, or cum, whatever he was working with that day. Voxâs grin widened, âBingo!â An soft audible âyays!â Were heard across the room, voxâs hands on one pair of arms of Valentino. âThatâs why you are the one getting the big bucks.âÂ
âWhat about the Radio demon? He seems quite..attached.â His hands slowly sneak around voxâs waist. âLike a guard dog, hovering around like he owns her.â Val grinned in disgust, âhow can you take away alastors new toy voxy?â He cooed, grinning from ear to ear.
âOh the little human will bite.â Vox slowly turned, his grin as big as ever, âPromise them something, maybe about Angelâs schedule improving if they corporate.â Valentino laughed lowly, taking a hit from his signature cigarette, âAnd If they say no papi?âÂ
Voxâs walked around a little, the sharks suddenly surrounding the overlord which made vox smile just a little. âThey wonât, theyâll catch the bait.âÂ
âWhat makes you think that fashion disaster could even let her go?â A female voice made them both heads turn, Velvette was busy texting on her phone, but looked up again while doing so. âVox darling, your plan isnât foolproof.â She tucked her phone finally away, rolling her eyes. âYouâre underestimating that radio relic vox.â Her heels clicked as she walked more towards the two, âhe doesnât let go of what he likes, like ever. Especially not something so valuable like one of his living family members.â She pointed out, crossing her arms. Valentino snorted, âSheâs got a point voxyâ
Vox just grinned, looking at the two of them. âAll on its own time, my dears.â
âSheâll come running.â
âââââââââ
Angel looked extremely nervous, as he showed you the invitation. He wanted to decline, he knows what happens in that tower, he didnât want you involved in any kind of way, but if he didnât..
He shivered, he could already feel the way Valentino would- âAngel..?â Your voice tugging him out of his thoughts. âToots I canât- You could be hurt and I donât want that for you-!â He panicked slightly, one pair of his hands in his hair. âBut-â
âBut if you donât get me with you, youâll be punished.,â You finished the sentence for him. The both of you kept quiet, silently sitting at the bar as you looked over at husk. âWhat do you think?â
The cat didnât look up right away, as he polished one of his glasses. âIâm telling you kid, theyâre bad news, especially to a puny little human like yourself.â The air around the bar was heavy, except the noises the cloth was making and the humming of static close by.
An reminder that he was always around.
âHit us whiskers donât leave us in suspense-!â Angel whined, as you smiled just softly at that. You noticed the air between them was always light. You knew this look, the look of admiration and security that not a lot could give in a place like this you suspect. He finally set the glass down with a clink. He let out a sigh, looking at you. âIf angel fails to show up again, Valentino will make it ugly, real ugly. Heâll do it publicly and will make it humiliating. He keeps his fear through that.â He glanced towards angel now. âYouâve seen it.â
You sigh, and looked behind you, the sudden shadow of Alastor appearing. Youâve become quite alert with your surroundings lately, knowing when he was truly gone or when Alastor was here. Just like when you visited Louisiana, you were always watched. And always kept on your toes.
Good practice for when you suddenly make a trip to literal hell.
âWhat do you think we should do?â You asked Alastor, startling both husk and Angel. âWhat should you do?â he repeated, as he appeared suddenly manifested besides you, scaring Angel shitless. âWhy, the answer is perfectly simple.â
Angelâs posture stiffened. âIf you say âdonât go,â Valâs gonna-âÂ
âOh my good fellow! Valentino thrives on spectacle, your denial to comply feeds him just as much as obedience!â His smile didnât falter, only widened with an sadistic tase, his eyes telling you enough.Â
ââŚYou want to come with us? Donât you?â You pointed out, making Alastor grinned from ear to ear. âMy you really are the brightest human I have ever seen in a while!â His hands moving on your shoulders rather quickly, âHave you seen other humans recently then?âÂ
He ignored that comment, his showbiz persona back on full display. âMy dear I canât just let you wander off alone with poor angel dust right?â He laughed, spinning you around so you now faced him. âHe may have a heart that bleeds out for puny little humans like you, but he isnât nearly strong enough to uphold himself to the vees.â Alastors remark was snarky, but on point.Â
You saw the anger flashing in Angelâs eyes, the hurt that came from Alastors words. âThatâs not nice Al.â You pointed out, standing your ground. âBesides, if you go with me, Iâll be an electrocuted piece of chicken since you canât even behave around the parts that is nobody land.â You waved your finger towards Alastor, close to his face with a small smirk. âLet alone in his own turf.âÂ
Alastor froze, the sound in the background sounding microphone picking up an high-pitched sound for just a second. Just a few weeks ago, you didnât even try to put him in his place, you were getting your footing in hell and that was quite a dangerous thing.
Even though you were completely powerless against the overlord. âTold you she had more teeth than you realiseâ Husk grumbled, but a small smirk was displayed on his face, clearly enjoying the conflict Alastor was having with himself. âI bite.âÂ
You playfully bit towards Angel, âHard.â Angel got startled by it, not expecting it for a split second before barking out an laugh, grinning from ear to ear. âSee? I knew I would like youâ He chuckled, before his expression turned softer again. âBut Toots-âÂ
âNo Angel, Do not push me away with this one. I canât walk around them forever, especially if I know the habits of a certain overlord here.â You turned your eyes towards Alastor, who just grinned at you and leaned against his Radio staff. âI will go with you. If you want to or not, Its either Iâll go to them or they will come here and I would rather keep the little clothes that I have clean.â
âToots-â He tried to argue with you, but you crossed your arms. It was a silent plea, to really think about it but you werenât having it. âI wonât be kept from your side..I promise..â Your voice was gentle, as you held his hands. âAlastor will be at the border and if anything goes wrong heâll be there.â
You looked back, sincerity in your eyes as you truly believed Alastor would come and save you. âThe border,â Alastor repeated pleasantly. âHow considerate of you to include me in your contingency plan.â
you turned to face him fully. âI trust you,â you said simply, making Alastor freeze for a moment before speaking lowly. âYou shouldnât give your trust so lightly my dear,â One of his hands grabbed yours, not really knowing what he was doing.
âI know, But I think youâd be the person to be able to stop them when it gets ugly.â A grin was spread across your face. Humans will always be surprising demons, that much is a fact. âSo, will you behave Al?âÂ
The radio demon grinned, and bowed for you as he grinned. âNow where is the fun in that my dear?â You gave him a stern look, his static in the background reminding you of an radio switching channels. âI need you to behave Al, I canây have you wander into their territory and start an turf war.â
His eyes never left yours, as the static became softer in the air, settling into a low hum. âYou ask for restraint, from a demon who thrives on making that picture box afterlife miserable.â His said slowly, an softer voice then just a moment ago.
âAlastor. Please.â It came out softer than youâd expected, catching him off guard. His gaze studied you, his ear twitched slightly at the sound of your plea. He sighed, mentally cursing himself. âVery well, for your sake, I will behave.âÂ
You whipped your head up to look at him, and smiled kindly. âYou wonât regret that, You might still have your fun at the end of the day.â Your gaze fell on all three of them,
âCause I have a plan.â
ââââââââââââ
You both stood there, in front of the V tower. It was huge building that reminded you of the Babel tower, but unlikely the tale, unholy things were present in that tower. The huge Vâs on the top shined brighter than the rest of the thousand lamps it was covered in.Â
Looking over at Angel, you saw his nervousness as you two approached the tower. A figure was already waiting for you two. âAngelcakes! There you are~â The demon came closer, easily towering over the both of you. âYouâre late.â
The tall moth demon, which you assumed was the infamous Valentino, grinned as he looked down at the both of you. His pink smoke from his cigarette waved around him, making his aroma smell sweet. âVal I-â Angel spoke quickly, his body upright and stepped closely to you.
âAnd you must be the infamous human dear voxy invited.â He ignored Angel, his attention fully fixed onto you. âYou must be very special to Angel. Arenât you?â You lifted your chin up, enough to meet his gaze. âI wouldnât say special,â You paused, âI just show up for him.â
This made Valentino laugh, as his wing suddenly wrapped around you, guiding you inside. âWell then! Arenât you a brave little puny human huh?â He grinned, showing off his sharp teeth. Youâre sure that if he wanted to, he would bite you hard, But he wouldnât.
Maybe.
You swallowed, trying to mask your fear. But your heart was caught in your throat, as you walked with Valentino and Angel inside. âVal come on-â Angel tried to argue again, âEasy Angelcakes. You were already late, donât make it worse now will yeah?âÂ
You never seen Angel retreat so fast, and despite your fear, you could feel your anger boiling to a certain point. You wouldnât win that fight, you knew better than that, so you just glared at the floor. âWell then! Lets give you the show we promised you hm?â Valentino focused his attention back onto you, as his hand was on your lower back.
You bit the inside of your cheek and nodded, making eye contact with Angel who was right beside you. Slowly but surely he brought you through the tower, starting with the porn studio.Â
Bright lights, harsh and unforgiving, shone on the demons on set. Props all around the studio, the furniture arranged as something meant to be used instead of being lived in. Cameras were lined up as demons saw their boss approaching, hurrying over and scattered all around the studio. Trying their best to not die at the hands of the boss.
Valentinoâs smoke waved around in the air, as he guided you into the studio more. âBeautiful am I right?â His grin was big, proud of the fear he was creating in his establishment. âThis is where the magic happens.â
Moans were being heard all around, the crew trying their best to not look at you. How could they not? There was a human here. And most sinners havenât seen a human around since they were one. âAngel works..here?â You asked, your eyes trying to ignore the scenes in front of you.
You felt heavily exposed, as you looked around anywhere but the threesome being recorded right in front of you. Valentino hummed, looking down at you, âAmong other places.â His fingers pressed more firmly into your back, as he whispered into your ear. âheâs very popular.âÂ
You glanced back at Angel again, his gaze was fixed straight ahead. You saw his hands tremble, just slightly at his side, his jaw shut tight. âSpeaking off,â Valentino looked back at him, his gaze showcasing something more controlling than youâve seen before. âYou should get to work now shouldnât you, hm?â
âVal- No I wonât leave them-â He tried to stand up for himself, but just with a few steps Valentino was already on him, gripping one of angels arms. âGet. Dressed.â His voice was low, making Angel freeze.
âHey-!â You stepped towards him, not thinking it through. The moth looked at you, his gaze harsh. âThis doesnât concern you, human.â He spit it out like It was an disgusting disease that was catchable, dismissing you.Â
âLet him go.â You glared, you didnât move closer, not yet anyways. Valentinoâs smile thinned, it dinât quite reach his eyes. âHereâs how this will work.â He slowly turned towards you. âAngel does and does his job, and you-â His hand grabbed your face, your face flashed a little with unexpected fear as you grabbed at his wrist.Â
âGet to stay rightttt here. Where I can see you, Nice and safe.â
You struggled, trying to get his hand off your face. For a moment everything was quiet, the lights just flickered. Just once.
Electricity suddenly filled the room, as it materialised into the one you knew would cause more trouble. The electricity coming out of the camera and into the room.
Vox.
Your eyes widened, as Valentino was catch of guard, you slapped his hand away. You immediately began walking to angel, who was checking you before pulling you into him. âVal.â The voice box boomed with loud vibrations. âI told you,â voice vibrating with barely restrained anger, âto invite the human. Not put your fucking hands on them.â
Your eyes widen a little, not expecting this type of display from anyone, especially him.
Youâve seen him more, obviously as youâve been in hell for a whole while. He was even more vibrant in real life then the times youâve seen him on the screens or seen him that one time with Alastor. You unconsciously grabbed onto Angel, who was now holding you a bit closer to him. He knew this could get ugly quite fast, but he kept quiet.
âVoxxy, I was just making a gesture, you act like I shot them deadâ Valentino pouts, voxâs irritation flowing through the air, âI do not care. I told you to welcome them didnât I?â He glared at Valentino, âI told you to not put your hands on her.â
Valentino scoffed, stood up straight and crossed his arms, scoffing while doing so. âYouâre no fun.â Vox glared but didnât say anything for a while, seeing that everyone around them has stopped working. Val looked around as well, as he screamed. âGET BACK TO FUCKING WORK.â
That got everyone out of their trance, and immediately demons were hurrying it up. Cameraâs went back to rolling and in panic everyone scurry off. Valentino mumbled some curse words in Spanish as he waved his hands around, Mad at the staff.
âANGEL. GET DRESSED.â His patience was thin, as Valentino stood behind the cameraâs, looking over at the scenes. There wasnât really room for argument.
Angel looked down at, worry evident in his eyes. âGo..â You whispered softly, âIâll be fine, just stay safe..â You smiled reassuring at, seeing his hesitation. âToots..are you one hundred percent sure..?â He spoke quietly, before hearing Valentino scream again.
âYes, Heâll do something if you donât comply, Iâll be around, I got myself handled..â You held his hands and smiled softly. Angel sighed, ruffled your hair as he slowly walked past vox and towards his dressing room, not before looking back. You gave him a thumbs up, a small smile on your face as you stood to the side.
He had no choice but to step inside and change.
Leaving you alone with just him.
You felt his eyes on you already, as you finally looked towards Vox. âWell then,â You began, as Vox gave you his best show buzz smirk. He grabbed your hand and shook it, âPleasure to meet the human who survived cannibal town! The name is Vox, but Iâm guessing you already know my nameâ He laughed loud and booming. You let go of his hand, as you looked up at him. âDonât.â
You said it sharper than you intended to say to him. Catching both yourself and him quite off guard. He was watching you, as you watched him. Tension flood the air around you two as he slowly lost his big tv persona. He grinned, putting his hands on your shoulders, âOh doll Iâll have such a fun day with you today!â
You whipped your head towards him, his screen just inches away from you. âWhat do you mean day? Donât tell me-â âIâll be showing you around the rest of my lovely tower!â
His touch wandered, an possessive touch holding you in place as you tried to figure him out. ââŚjudging by the reaction I had from Valentino, it was actually you who invited me, didnât you?â Vox stopped for just a second, looking at you. âVery good.â His voice dropped a tune or two. âMost humans wouldnât be able to figure that out so fast.â
âLuckily Iâm not like most humans.â Your words were sharp with him, you didnât know if you had a death wish or if you were just plain stupid. There was a silence between the two of you, besides all the background noise that was happening. When vox finally laughed, it was quieter than his tv persona he always put on. âOh, I know. Thatâs why youâre still standing here.âÂ
âI asked him to invite you,â Vox said, matter-of-fact. âSimple request. Professional courtesy. And then he went and did what Valentino always does, he made it ugly.â A hum of irritation buzzed through the air âThat reflects poorly on all of us.â
âThen why didnât you invite me yourself?â You challenged, his grin sharp. âHow could I, since you have the Radio demon as your guard dog.â His voice sounded glitched when saying Alastors name, but he quickly recovered himself, grinning from ear to ear (or in that way, he was an tv head after all.)
âNow then! Let me show you the rest of the tower!â He guided you towards the door, as you looked back. You saw angel watching you, his eyes widen as you were guided away. You mouthed âstay putâ to him, as Vox was talking your ears off already, his claws digging tightly into your shoulders.
As the doors slid closed behind you, cutting your view off from Angel, you knew you were in for it.
Youâd just hoped Alastor would stay put.

You stayed in the hotel to heal your legs. You had been so exhausted youâve slept through at least a quarter of the first day, but no one really blamed you for sleeping in that badly. (Charlie mightâve seen Alastorâs shadow guard the door a little, but she doesnât kiss and tell.)
Slowly but surely you got settled in these past few days. They all made sure to check on you In a non-intrusive way. Piles of clothes you could change to, with a small sticky note from Charlie herself. A glass of water, and just honestly some rest.
You were itching to do something though and you were all cooped up and kinda lonely in your room, a small frown as you decided that enough is enough.
We are getting out of here and explore.
Careful not to over-do it, You slowly walked out of the door, Wandering the halls. The hotel were loads of shades of red, a speck of gold hinting here and there. Your hand went past the woodwork of the hotel, as you just let your curiosity get the better of you, you were human after all.
Lots of names were written on the doors and peopleâs their respective room. âNifty..Husk.. maybe..â You mumbled to yourself, as you knocked on one of the doors.Â
Angel dust.
âHold on!â A voice called out, a little muffled by the door, almost indefinitely Angels. There was a thud, a crash, and a string of curses that sounded impressively creative even by Hellâs standards. âI swear to- Husk! if that was you, Iâm not opening this door-â
The threat was empty, the door opened and none other than angel opened the door. âOh-!â He exclaimed, grinning. âI didnât expect you here toots.â
âCome inside before Vaggie will have both our heads-â Angel grinned, getting you inside his room. It was so very..pink. Like him honestly, you donât really know him at all and you donât really know why you knocked on his door but you just know from the look of his eyes he knows people.
âSo..â You spoke gently, âWere you busy in here? Iâm sorry If I disturbed you from anything-â You apologised, which he immediately dismissed you of. âNah babe, nothing that important.â He grinned, waving his hand a little as he sat you down.
âWhat brings you here?â He drawled, âGet bored starinâ at the wallpaper around here?â You snorted a little, chuckling. âGosh I swear it moves thatâs how much Iâve been looking at it the past few days.â
He let out a real laugh, âYeah this place does that sometimes.â You leaned your cheek on your knees, watching him. âWhat is hell like? Iâve already got cannibal town on my list checked off on my stamp card.â You chuckled, âLike, do you guys have jobs? Stupid question its hell so of course there will be jobs- What do you do?âÂ
You asked curiously, which made angel chuckle softly. âIâm one of the most famous Pornstars sweetheart.â He grinned at you, âAn all known celebrity if you will.â
âOh really?â You looked at him, and giggled. âOkay I wouldâve have figured it out just by the looks of you.â
âSo thatâs your job,â you said thoughtfully. âDown here, I mean.â
âUnfortunately,â Angel replied with a shrug that was far more tired than dramatic, âitâs the job. Contracts and all that fun eternal nonsense..â
You tilted your head. âDo you like it?â He blinked at you, clearly not expecting the question. âDamn, goinâ straight for the jugular, huh?â
âSorry,â you said quickly. âYou donât have to answer. Iâm just⌠trying to understand this place. And the people in it.â
His smile is sad, a little distant. âSome days are fun, the other days..â He trailed off, looking away. You tried to wrap your head around it, that hell was just this huge society just like back on earth. â..Shitty boss?âÂ
âYou have no idea.â He stated, sighing softly. âVal..can be quite explosive, but he owns me so his wish is my command.â The voice felt distant, and you immediately felt bad for bringing it up. â..whoâs âvalâ you speak off..?âÂ
ââŚValentino,â he said slowly, the name tasting sour. âBig moth. Bigger ego. Runs one of the largest studios in the Pride Ring.â He glanced at you, then away again, âheâs part of the Vees, they run the entertainment district. Valentino is one of them, Velvette is the youngest one of the three there.â He looks back at you, and because he was so tall, he sat on the floor for you, his head resting on his arms while he leans on his bed.
âAnd then last but not least you have-â âVox..â You mumbled softly, which made Angels eyes widen. âYou heard of him?â He asked, sitting a bit more straight up. âHeard of him? Iâve heard him. Alastor and I walked past and he just showed up on the screens there.â You explained what happened that day,
âI swear Iâve never seen two grown adults bicker so much over something, Alastor wonât tell me just yet, cause I swear I will find out the tea between those two.â
Angel stared at you for a solid second, then burst out laughingâsharp, incredulous, and a little too loud for the hallway outside. âOh my god,â he said, wiping at one eye. âYou saw that already? Babe, youâre speedrunning Hell lore.â
âI didnât ask for it!â you protested, smiling despite yourself. âWe were just walking and suddenly every screen was⌠him. And then Alastor did his whole creepy-radio-cryptic thing and, boom! Gayest tension I have ever seen.â You stated in a matter of fact voice.
âBesides that, it got slipped out that Alastor is family, so besides,â You lift your legs up, stretching them, âthe obvious, I think I got an target on my back.â You groaned.
You felt comfortable with angel, talking to him felt easy even if the topics were a bit dark. You were in hell, you had to remind yourself, dark topics were normal.
âOh totally babes.â He chuckled, âBut youâre safe in the hotel, trust me on that.â He waved his hand a bit, grinning from ear to ear, âCause somehow you have the strawberry pimp wrapped around your little finger.âÂ
âI do not-!â You argued, throwing a pillow at his face. âWeâre just family, that doesnât say shit-!â
âUhuh, sure toots. Iâve seen him with people he âcaresâ about.â He caught the pillow with one of his hands, âHe doesnât do the shit he did with you, especially out in the open like that.â
You think just for a moment, before grinning ear to ear, and smacking him again with a pillow, resulting into a pillow fight. Giggling like two schoolgirls, you two kept hanging out, not noticing the small blue electric shock came a bit out of the smartphone laying on the desk.
âââââââââ
You went downstairs, your legs feeling far more better than a few days ago. âThank god, I think I would absolutely go insane if I didnât get out of thereâ You internally cheered, as you looked around to the lobby.Â
You didnât really had the chance to even look around, with all the recovering you had to do. Vaggie spotted you first, her smile small but also full with concern. âWoah- you okay?â
You nodded, a small smile spread on your lips âYeah, Much better than before. Promise I wonât collapse dramatically in the middle of the lobby.â
Vaggie huffed out a short laugh, clearly unconvinced but relieved. âGood. Cause having an injured human here is already insane enough.â She glanced down at your legs, then back up at your face. âAnd Charlie wouldâve lost her mind.â
Smiling gently, you slowly made your way over to the bar and sat on one of the barstools. Husk grumbled something about ânot babysittingâ but you didnât really pay any attention towards it. âSoo,â You drawled, âAnything interesting besides the whole âhuman is stuck in hellâ shabang?â
Vaggie leaned against a nearby pillar, arms crossed but posture looser than before. âHonestly? The most exciting thing lately has been Alastor being⌠quiet.â
You turned towards her, your eyebrow raised as you fell a bit quiet. âQuiet..how..?â You asked her, desperate in any information you could get out of here. âWell, for starters there havenât been any incidents since youâve arrived.â
Husk paused mid-wipe, the rag frozen in his hand. Slowly, he looked up at Vaggie, then at you. âDonât say it like that,â he muttered. âYouâre gonna jinx it.â
You knocked on the wooden bar, which made all three demons look at you confused. â..Yall never heard of âknock on woodâ Expression?â I am superstitious okay-âÂ
âKid, youâre in hell, I donât think that will work.â âOh but it will-!â
Vaggie ignored you two. âIâm serious,â she continued. âNo power plays. No creepy announcements. No messing with the staff just to see how they squirm.â Her eye flicked briefly toward the elevator, then back to you. âThatâs not normal.â
âGreat, Iâm the test subject-â You mumbled a little.
Vaggie exhaled through her nose, rubbing her temple. âLook. I donât trust him. I never will. But Iâve been watching him for years, and Iâve never seen him act like this.â She hesitated, then added, âHe hasnât even been antagonizing Lucifer. That alone is⌠unprecedented.â
You perked up, âwait Lucifer-? Lucifer Lucifer? The Lucifer Morningstar? That one?â They nodded, as you groaned, your cheek on the wooden bar. âLife is awesome..â
The silence was deafening, as they all watched you.
ââŚHe was kind,â you said before you could stop yourself. âWhen I broke down. He didnât mock me. Didnât scare me. He just⌠stayed.â
Charlie stepped closer, resting her hands on the bar near you. âYou donât have to figure this out alone,â she said softly. âOkay? Youâre here because you need help. And we will.â You smiled weakly at her. âYouâre too nice to run Hell.â She laughed at that âThatâs what everyone keeps telling me.â
You all let the silence fall into place, not really awkward just. There.
A barely audible radio hum could be heard in the hotel itself, not invasive much but it was there.
âSpeak of the devil,â Husk muttered.
Alastor stood at the far end of the lobby, having arrived so quietly it was almost unfair. âThere you are my dear! My, I was beginning to think the hotel had swallowed you whole.â He chuckled at his own little joke, as you straighten up by instinct.
âJust..stretching my legs,â You repeated, sounding like a broken record. âTrying not to go stir-crazy in this joint, no offence Charlie-â You immediately apologised, âNone taken!â
His gaze flicked briefly to your legs, then back to your face. âAnd? How do they feel?â You watched him a little, trying to figure him out. â..Better than first time.â
Alastorâs smile softened âExcellent.â
The static faded.
He turned slightly, acknowledging the others at last. âI trust Iâm not interrupting anything of importance?â Vaggieâs voice was cool. âWe were talking.â
âAh,â he said lightly. âHow delightful.âÂ
He looked back at you, ignoring the rest of the sinners around you. âIf you arenât too tired my dear, how about a stroll?â He offered his arm for you, which, by the reaction of the rest, wasnât really a thing that happens to often.
You took a deep breath, holstered yourself up and grabbed his arm with an oof. Looking back at the others, you smiled softly. âIâll see you guys later?â
Charlieâs smile faltered, just a little. Vaggie straightened fully, posture going rigid, her eye narrowing as she took in the sight of your hand looped through Alastorâs arm.Â
There was a thicker tension now.
Alastor, of course, noticed, and seemed amused by it.
âHow reassuring,â he said lightly, radio static brushing the edges of his voice. âSuch concern warms the soul.â Vaggie stepped forward before Charlie could speak. âA stroll,â she repeated flatly. âOutside.â
âFresh air does help the mind and soul, especially after confinementâ He grinned at her, his smile challenging. You squeezed his arm a little, his attention back at you. âHow about a stroll around the perimeter? Win-win for everyone.â You butted in, making both Vaggie and Alastor look at you.
Charlieâs expression softened immediately, relief blooming across her face. âOh! That actually sounds really reasonable,â she said, a little too quickly, as if afraid the idea might disappear if she didnât support it fast enough.
âMt my, such conditions, you drive a hard bargain, my dear.â Alastor looked down at you, his smile sharp but his eyes. His eyes bore into you, searching for something. What you may ask? Even you had no clue.
You shrugged. âFigured I should survive long enough to actually being able to run.â
A genuine laugh slipped from him. short, surprised, and entirely unradioed. The static faded on its own. âVery well,â he said, straightening. âA perimeter stroll it is. I do so enjoy a compromise.â He looked to Vaggie then, smile sharp but contained. âYou have my word.â
Vaggie didnât look convinced, but she stepped back anyway. âIâm watching,â she warned.
âI would expect nothing less.â
ââââââââ
âWow, they really donât like you donât they?â You walked with him, your gaze curious. Now that you were on the hill and in less pain, you could really see the districts. âAnd with good reason my dear! We are in a place for doom after all.â He grinned, looking straight ahead.
You didnât really like that look, but you let it slide, just this once.
You were feeling generous.
You didnât got the chance to catch him alone like a few days ago, with everything that happened and the exhaustion that had taken in your body that day you didnât get the chance to just, talk.
Call it human curiosity, you wanted to actually know someone from your family.
âSo..â You looked back at him. âI honestly donât really know what to talk about-â You laughed slightly, glancing down at your hands, then back at him. âSo, youâve been in Hell for⌠how long? I mean, I know youâre family, but Iâve never⌠I donât even know the proper questions to ask.â
He looked at you, his expression quite unclear as he answered. âI believe it was around the late 1920s my dear, what was it again what they called that time? Ah! Yes, the roaring 20s!â He grinned, as you blinked at him.
ââŚHuh, so you really are Unc status..â You mumbled, âthe what now?â He said it so confusingly that you felt your laugh bubble in your chest, before letting it out. âI-Iâm sorry-â you wiped your tears away, your laugh genuine.
âI mean, respectfully! Very respectfully. Ancient, but in a cool way.â You waved your hands a bit, still laughing. âLike⌠vintage.â
âVintage.â He chucked, âWhy I should be offended, Utterly offended-!â He spoke dramatically, which made you grin a soft grin. âItâs completely back on earth though,â You reasoned with him, waving your hand that wasnât holding his arm around.Â
â1920s radios, the music, the clothes especially, its completely in trend!â He let out a pleased hum. âIs that so? Why, I must say, the notion that fashion has finally caught up to me is deeply gratifying.â He adjusted his coat just slightly, preening without shame. âI always knew the world would come crawling back to proper taste.â
âItâs always a trend when the world catches up to quickly, we always look back at the past and sigh.â You spoke softly. âWell, What was your favourite thing when you were back alive?â
He was about to answer, but you put your finger up. âAnd before you say anything related with murder, I know.â You grinned, challenging look. âBe original! Tell me something youâve never ever told someone before.â
His steps slowly fell, his eyes a bit sharp, which makes you immediately regret being so bold with him. But you held your head up high and kept looking at him, doing your best to hold up a straight spine.
âMy dear,â he said at last, âyou ask for dangerous things with remarkable ease.â
You shrugged again, casual but curious. âYou said to ask questions. Iâm just⌠actually doing it.â
âHm.â A soft sound escaped him, not quite a laugh. âVery well. Something Iâve never told anyone.â He glanced sideways at you, eyes sharp, gauging whether youâd flinch.
You did a little bit, which cause him to smirk just a bit.
âOh donât you fret my dear, if I wanted to frighten you, you wouldâve known already.â
âWell that makes me sleep better at night..â You whispered.
âAt night,â he began, voice quieter, âwhen the noise dies down and even Hell pretends to rest⌠I still listen.â His voice was uncharacteristically soft. âThe noises outside, the screams of my broadcast thatâs dialled just a tad bit softer than normal, the humming I canât quite place what exactly is the cause of the noise.â He waved his hand around, signalling about the rest of hell.
A small pause hung in the air, âIt reminds me that the world continues whether I bend it or not.â
You looked up at him, not expecting that type of answer from a man with a reputation of killing plenty.
For a while, you walked in companionable silence. The path curved gently around the hotel grounds, lanterns flickering with warm, hellish light. Somewhere far off, a scream echoed, distant enough to be background noise rather than a threat.
âYou know..â You broke the silence, fiddling with the sleeves of your shirt. âBack on earth, I always filled my silence up with music.â You spoke softly, looking over in the distance, the distant noises of violence audible but muffled. âI donât like silence, it makes me feel..anxious? I donât really know-â You mumbled.
He didnât answer right away, letting it float a little. âMy dear, filling the silence is a very human thing to do.â He looked down at you, a forever edged smile on his face. âIn Hell, silence is often a warning. A calm before the storm. One learns quickly not to trust it.â
You fiddled, anxiety filling your chest. âHowever,â He spoke, as he noticed the nerves fiddle of your sleeve. âthere are exceptions.â
âYou can always control when silent in the safe space of your own home.â
You glanced at the hotel behind you, its red-and-gold windows glowing against the dark. âSo⌠the hotel counts as that? A safe space, I mean.â
âFor now,â he replied smoothly. âIt is warded, protected, and most importantly mine.â He tilted his head toward you. âAnd by extension, so are you.â You blinked a few times, letting the words sink in, as it slowly put you at ease.
âI donât like to be implied by âownershipâ but Iâll let it slide, for your sake.â Amusement covered your tone, as you break into a fit of giggles. Alastorâs chuckle rumbled low, threading through the air like distant static. âHow generous of you,â he said dryly, but there was amusement in his eyes. âI promise not to abuse the privilege⌠for now.â
That made you both laugh, a comfortable silence settling over the two of you.
âYou know,â you said after a while, voice thoughtful, âI donât think Iâve ever just⌠walked with someone like this.â
âThen consider it a novelty,â he replied. âThey are dreadfully rare down here.â
The hotel loomed closer now, its lights steady and warm against the dark. You found yourself reluctant for the walk to end.
âThank you,â you said quietly. Not for the protection. Not for the answers. Just- Just for this. He glanced at you, expression unreadable, then inclined his head just slightly. âYou are most welcome, my dear.â
ââââââââ
âOh my gosh, are you okay??â Charlie exclaimed, far too relieved to see you after you and Alastor walked back inside after just chatting a bit. You smiled at her, looking up at her. âIâm good Charlie! Just a bit tired but Iâm okay.â
Her shoulders sagged immediately, tension melting out of her posture. âOh, thank goodness,â she breathed, pressing a hand to her chest. âYou were gone longer than I thought and I just-! well, you know how this place is, and I started thinking about all the things that could go wrong and-!â
You laughed softly, âI didnât explode Charlieâ you giggled, âbesides, I quite enjoyed our little walk.â You smiled reassuringly. Everyone stopped what they were doing, looking all up at Alastor.
âOh donât act so surprisedâ Alastor chuckled, his hands on your shoulders. âA walk is always quite better with good company!â He gently guided you to the couch, which you happily sat on.Â
âWell then! My dear, I trust you are in the right hands? Do take it easy for tonight.â He turned sharply, almost as if he had to make haste to get out of the situation where he was confronted with more than he could chew.
You chuckled, as he ruffled husks head, which caused the cat to growl but mumble his insults.
Maybe heâs not as bad as people might think of him.

Chapter two: The human guest
Note: I've been loving writing them so far. This will be like an extremely slow burn story, I like to explore all the characters and how to write them. School will also start up for me (Surprise, surprise a student is making this story haha) So updates might be slow. Thank you for the ones tuning in!
warnings/tags: Physical injury/bleeding, Violence/gore, Characters might be a little OOC (I'm working on ittt)

Walking through the other parts of hell isâŚinteresting to say the least. Cannibal town was easy compared to the other districts of hell. Alastor was talking your head off, you think cause he likes to hear his own voice, but you arenât really listening anyways.
It was so much for you to even be here.
Somehow you survived cannibals, demons and nobody really noticed you which was always a plus when it came to being one of the most vulnerable creatures of the entirely of hell.
Demons were staring, you could tell that much by the looks they were throwing. They looked like hungry lions, ready to pounce on top of new fresh meat. But, before anyone could even try to touch you, they suddenly became a lot more scared of you. Your gaze fell back to Alastor, who was grinning a bit wider now, looking back at you as a faint Radio noise could be heard from him.
â..Iâm guessing you are also a big deal here in death arenât you?â You asked him, testing the waters. Even if he was family, he would always be a killer first.
His grin didnât falter, just sharpened. âBright little human you are.â He teased, âYes my dear, Iâm not to be messed with in these parts!â He opened his arms dramatically, reminding you of a ringmaster of a circus.
And you were just one of circus monkeys.
A soft static noise caught your attention, as you looked back a little. But it was gone before you could see a climpse of what it could be. âWhy are people afraid of you?â You asked Alastor, as he tapped your hand, that was holding his arm for support.Â
It felt less painful to walk now, the stinging mostly stopped, or you got used to the pain but at least you could move around semi normally. âWe have different systems, The Morningstarâs are on top as they are in legends. Then, by default, The Seven deadly sins.â He helped you step over a demon, who was in some sort of trance and on the ground, reaching out for something.
High as a kite.
âThe sins are real people?â You asked him curiously, trying your best to keep your focus on him and only him. You rather not see whatever is happening around you, your heart beating in your chest. âOh certainly! They each have their own ring, normal sinners canât get out of them. We are forever bound to the Pride ring.â
âCause Lucifer is the sin of pride..right..â you mumbled softly, âAnd these sinners? They were all once..?â You trailed off, not wanting to say it to loudly. âHumans? Believe it or not dear, they had flesh and bones just like you.â
That soft static came again. You turned your head this time, âDid you hear that?â Alastorâs fingers tightened just slightly where your hand rested on his arm. Not warning. Just, acknowledgment. âHell is very fond of its background noise,â he said pleasantly. âPay it no mind.â
But it was hard, especially with human curiosity. You turned your head around, seeing a few Tvâs suddenly flicker on, and more on, until there was a wall full of pixels of a huge man visible. His grin was shit eating wide, but not really staring at you.
More the less staring at the company you kept.
âWell would you look at that, Finally out to play?â His voice was the real voice of someone who was made for the screens..unfortunately he had become on. You had time to focus on him, since his focus laid entirely on Alastor.
You noticed quickly that besides the giant tv he wore as a head, he also wore sharp blue suit with cyan stripes going over it. Hell had a lot of reds, he stood out a lot. I guess thatâs fitting since he really wanted that.
âMy dear Vox,â he said pleasantly, cane tapping once against the pavement, âyou always did confuse loud with important.â Which made, vox you presume, screen glitch a little.Â
His anger was like his presence, loud and electrifying. The lights flickered around the district you were walking on. Your hairs became a bit electrocuted, as you grumbled and tried to push it down. âAlways running your mouth.â Vox glared holes into Alastor, who just tauntingly smiled at him.Â
âJesus these two really go at it with each other..â You thought, as you brushed down your hair a bit with your fingers, combing through it.Â
Vox leaned closer to the camera, his face filling every screen, pixels warping with the intensity of his glare. âYou disappear for years,â he snarled, âand the second you show your face again, you start poking at things that donât belong to you anymore.â
Alastorâs radio hum deepened,, âFunny,â he replied, âI was thinking the same thing.â
âJesus Christ..â You mumbled, your hand dragging over your face. Which both demons attention finally rested on you. You felt your voice go a little hot, not meaning to even speak out loud. âWell-! Uh- Vox yes? I would love to go to shelter in like, one piece? So if you wonât mind..âÂ
âWho are you?â Voxâs eyes trailed over you, taking in that not only someone was willingly in the company of Alastor, but you were breathing. Alive.
Very much Human.
The questionnaire hung in the air, maybe a little tad to long then it should be. You felt the tvâs glow brighten as he stared you down. It was awfully intimate, but you forced yourself to look up at him.
âFair question- I uh, I didnât plan this I swear but I was on my couch, heard this weird noise outside and suddenly, boom! In hell, I mean zero stars, would not recommend this trip as a mortal-â You rambled on and on, cause thatâs always something you could do when nervous.
Everything about this place made you nervous.
Vox laughed, his audible speaker-breaking laugh. âO-Oh! Thatâs RICH! Alastor, Kidnapping is so beneath you.â He kept laughing, wiping away a digital tear away.
âNow, now,â The deer replied lightly. âIf I were kidnapping her, sheâd be far less talkative.â
âWow that makes me feel so much better..â You spoke sarcastically, giving him a look.
âLook, I really donât want to be part of whatever⌠this is,â ,gesturing vaguely between the two of them. âI just want to get to the hotel in one piece.â
âLooks like that might be a challenge Doll,â Vox looked down at your legs, a smirk covering his lips. You flushed out of embarrassment, âwell, good luck to you if you were human and had cannibals after you samgsung tv.â
The screen flashes bright as Vox grinned. âOh you have jokes, it thinks they have options.
âIt does has options, and for example, can continue not liking you.â You glared at him, but your legs buckled a bit. You needed rest and you two were no where near the hotel that Alastor was talking about.
That didnât go unnoticed though, as Alastor grinned as his shadow puppet suddenly shut down one of the tvs in the corner of the Tv wall. âTada dear Vox! Try not to fry your system now.â As he began walking away with you, which caused vox to scream in irritation, âDONâT YOU DARE-!â Vox screamed further, but knowing this wasnât his terf, he couldnât really do anything about it.Â
You looked up at the lights, noticing them flickering before the whole city went suddenly dark. As predicted, he had fried the entire system. Only then did you exhale, shoulders sagging. âSo,â you muttered, âhe hates you.â
Alastor chuckled softly. âPassionately.â
âAnd heâs going to cause problems.â
âOh, undoubtedly.â
You sighed. âFantastic.â
âââââââââ
The Hotel was all the way up on top off a hill. You didnâ expect to be climbing so much, but at the end of it, your legs almost gave out. You would have fallen if it wasnât for Alastors arm that held you upwards. âAny chance they couldâve move this down more?â You joked, but the exhaustion was evident In your eyes.
âUp my dear, you are about to meet a lot more people.â He looked down at you, before basically dragging you inside.Â
The noise inside was not what you expected, It wasnât that busy per se. Alastor told you on the way that business wasnât exactly booming, so It was only a few of them who actually stayed at the hotel at the moment.
âAllow me to introduce you to everyone here!â Alastor stated dramatically, From behind the front desk, a tall blonde demon nearly tripped over her own feet rushing forward, eyes wide and bright. âOh! Hi! welcome to the Hazbin Hotel!â She beamed, then froze when she really looked at you. âOh my gosh, youâre hurt!â
âThis is our dear, Charlie Morningstar.â You saw the genuine sadness in her eyes at the state of your legs and quickly guided you to the couch. âPlease-! Please sit down, My gosh I bet you are tired! Vaggie? Could you grab me the First Aid Kit?â She called out for someone.
The female that eventually came out with the med kit, Vaggie you presume, had her arms crossed and eye narrowed while glaring holes at the radio demon. âAlastor,â she said flatly, âwhy is there a human bleeding in our lobby?â
âIâm so sorry about that-â You whispered to Charlie, who quickly shut you up with a smile. Near the corner, a small demon zipped past at lightning speed, immediately crouching to scrub a nonexistent stain on the floor near your feet. âFILTHY. Oh! New person!â She chirped, peering up at you with unsettling enthusiasm. âYouâre leaking!â
âThanks, I didnât notice-â You replied with a lighthearted sarcasm, which made Alastor chuckle as you hissed, feeling a sudden pressure on your legs of Charlie treating them. âThat, my dear, is nifty!â He pointed towards the pussycat at the bar, cleaning glasses up. âAnd that is our good fellow Husker!âÂ
âHusk you asshole.â He reclaimed grumpily âSo let me get this straight,â He muttered, lifting his glass slightly. âWeâve got a live human bleeding on the couch and he brought her.âÂ
His eyes bore into Alastor, looking up at him. âWhy?â
âWhy because I canât let good company hanging my dear friend!âÂ
âWhy?â Husk repeated flatly, ears twitching as he set the glass down with a dull clink. âBecause last I checked, dragging live humans through Hell tends to get messy. For everyone.â Alastor placed a hand over his chest in mock offense. âMy dear Husk, you wound me. I rescued her.â
âYeah?â Husk shot back. âLooks more like she survived you.â
You snorted before you could stop yourself, then immediately regretted it as Charlie pressed down again to secure the bandage. You hissed softly, jaw tightening. âSorry! sorry,â Charlie said quickly, easing up. âAlmost done, I promise.â
You leaned your head back against the pillow as you sighed softly. âIâm family..â You mumbled softly, as you saw Charlieâs gaze shoot up and loud laugh escape from a spider looking demon. âYouâre saying you are actually related to the strawberry pimp over here??â His laughter died down when you didnât shut him down, knowing all of the sudden you were serious.
âShit. I feel sorry for yaâ âAngel-!â Charlie scolded him.
You just laughed softly, the tension slowly releasing out of your body.
âYes, yes,â Alastor said lightly. âWe established that back in Cannibal Town. Rosie was thrilled.â His grin widened. âFamily histories do have a way of surfacing at the most dramatic moments.â
Angel blinked. âHold up, Rosie knew?â
âYeahh I kinda landed in cannibal town-â You scratched your head a bit. âHench the fucked up legs at the moment, I did smack one back though-â You grimished, you werenât comfortable with most demons just yet.
These are alright though.
âDamn Toots, I got to give it to ya, even I wouldnât want to be found in cannibal town if I was a human. You got guts.â He grinned, putting his legs on vaggieâs lap, who immediately shoved them off as if they were infected with a disease. Vaggie crossed her arms tighter. âSheâs staying.â
Your eyes shut up to her, and youâve never been more grateful until now. Your guard slowly lowered itself, your exhaustion finally being able to catch you. âThank you..â You spoke softly.
For the next couple of hours, it was honestly quite a blur.
you tried to keep up with everyone, but you got introduced to everyone who you didnât meet. Sir Pentious was very interested, which caused you to grab a little onto Alastor, who for some reason didnât really mind when you did it. The egg bois were cute though
At some point everyone was just arguing over stupid stuff and it just hit you. You were In hell, no way of contacting your loved ones and no way out at the moment.l
You were tired, hurt, scared and overwhelmed and just silently started crying. You tried to wipe them away but they came back harder, which made everyone suddenly stop and look at you.
âI-Iâm Sorry-â You hiccuped, still the tears were rolling down your cheeks as you sobbed a little, in no way calming down. You didnât expect to suddenly break down in front of them, you honestly really didnât mean to.
You hiccupped again, shaking your head violently, trying to convince yourself to stop crying, but your body wasnât having it. You wanted to apologize, to explain that you werenât this weak, that you didnât usually break like this, but the words wouldnât form. They felt stuck in your chest, swallowed by the sobs and the overwhelming exhaustion.
âY-You all are so kind-! And I- Iâm in Hellâ The realisation really settled in just now. âAnd I donât know If I can go back and everyone is out to get me and I-!â Your breathing became faster, as It was surprisingly Alastor making the first move, walking over to you and sitting down in front of you.
He lifted a hand gently, stopping your words before they could overwhelm you further. âYou donât have to finish that thought, No one will hurt you.â He spoke softly but firmly. His usual shit-eating grin (Huskâs words, not yours.) softened a bit.
âYouâre allowed to be tired,â he continued, voice calm. âYouâre allowed to be scared. Youâre allowed to cry, to let it out. It doesnât make you weak, my dear. It makes you alive.âÂ
Your crying slowly subdued, your breathing slowly becoming even as you sunk into the pillows, hardly being able to stay awake just for a bit.Â
âCome. I shall bring you to your room, where you will be staying for the time being.â He offered his arm again, as you didnât think twice and grabbed it, leaning against him as you looked at him. â..Thank you, Alastor.â
âYouâre very welcome, my dear.â His performance persona was back, but softer as he brought you to the elevator and eventually your room.
ââââââÂ
âI⌠did not expect that,â Vaggie muttered, Looking at Charlie. âHe was so..gentle, have we ever seen him that gentle before?â Vaggie continued as Charlie looked over at them with the smallest smile. âNo..No we havenât, I think she was just what he needed.â
Vaggieâs lip twitched, almost a smirk. âSo⌠youâre saying he has a soft spot for the brave ones? Figures. Thatâs exactly the kind of weird, selective nonsense heâd do.â
Charlie chuckled, âNo, Just Family. Just Her.â

Life has become a chore, or at least, thatâs how you felt the moment you got back home again. Your bag was gently thrown on the ground, as you popped your neck a little, relieving the tension that had gotten into your shoulders.
It had been a long day today, from projects from school till socialising with the rest of the people around you. You just wanted to drown yourself into some true crime videos and shut your brain off.
The obsession started innocently, it all started by a project that was about family ties at your school. You had researched your family ties, expecting to have a certain boring aspect of your life, I mean what did your family do that was interesting?
Well there was more than you thought you had.
It came to a conclusion that you were a common descendant of The Bayou Butcher. That peaked your interest, as you searched further into the business. Eventually you came in this loophole of who he was and theories of why he just killed his victims.Â
Was it childhood trauma? Did he always kill people that were white? Or did he just enjoy it?
You tried talking to your grandma about your great cousin, but she kept it locked. She didnât want to talk about it, at all. She told you that when it was discovered, our side of the family werenât left alone for at least 10 years minimum. âItâs not like you were supposed to find out anyways,â She dragged the cigarette, blowing the smoke away from your face.
âIt was a very dark chapter of our family history, donât bring it up again.â Her eyes made contact with yours, youâve never seen them so sternly like you have seen them that day.
But you couldnât help it, you were curious and that was your every right to be.Â
You sighed as the couch literally made you sink into it, Cushions swallowing you whole. School had sucked you dry, completely and underly spend. But still, you paid attention to half of what the documentary said.Â
â..Authorities believe that the killings had stopped once there was an incident shooting in the woods. A Male was mistaken for a deer and shot on sight.â
The narratorâs voice faded slightly, as if swallowed by the low hum of the television. You knew this already, that was the only thing your grandma was willing to talk about.Â
âHe was dragging away a dead body,â She told you one day, as you were helping her in the kitchen, the smell of spices in the air as you whipped your head so fast towards her that you were scared you had gotten whiplash.Â
She didnât look you in the eyes, as she kept cooking. âHe has just finished killing someone off, He mostly killed white people, being a person of color was hard back then, still is mostly. But back then, it was much worse than how we have it.â She had looked at you, her expression with something heavy.Â
You shook your head, getting yourself out of memory lane. A sudden sound pulling your attention, as you looked up.
âThe fuck..â You spoke softly, grabbing something to defend yourself as you slowly move to the sound.
âMoxxie I swear to Satan, if you fuck this up I will kill you with my bare hands!â A voice screamed, a whooshing sound coming with it.
âIâm trying sir-! It wonât activate-!â The other voice was clearly in distress, as you quickly hid, hoping to go they wouldnât notice you. As their way out finally opened, you saw them slip in and the portal stayed opened for you. It looked like those black holes you always saw on social media, but the world out there was different than what youâve ever seen so far.
Without thinking, you just stepped through, your phone clutched in hand as you felt the air suddenly hotter than what you were used to. You blinked a few times, as a city had greeted you.Â
âWhat- The Actual- Fuck-â You screamed, looking around. Creatures everywhere. You quickly turned back, but the portal was already gone before you could even think about what happened.Â
âNo, no, NO-!â You panicked, as you quickly ran through it, hoping youâd be able to go back. âHEY, WATCH IT.â A goat like demon screamed at you, as you quickly jumped out of the way. You yelped as another tall one almost slammed you into the nearest wall. âExcuse me-!â You tried to get its attention.
One of the demons turned around, a nasty gurgle coming out of their throat. âWhat, little pest.âÂ
âI- Where-?â You were speechless, as you quickly tried to wrap your mind around the fact that a creature was talking to you.Â
âClose to cannibal town, In Hell.â It distanced itself with you already, as you swear you could hear it laughing.
You were in Hell.
Well Fuck.
âââââââââââââââ
You were scared shitless.
Not only were you in a place, no human should be at. But at a place who eats demons? Let alone humans. But where else could you go? You donât know the place, the place doesnât know you (or so that is what you hope, it isnât safe for any small creatures, and these demons were huge compared to any human being.)
Your hood covered your features, trying your best to not be noticed by anyone. Which isnât that hard simply cause everyone out there was minding either their own business or doing something you rather not put your eyes upon.
Cannibal town wasâŚactually nicer than you had expected.
The scene before you was more of a town square than the bloodshed you imagine when they talk about cannibals. It felt like you had taken a time machine and stepped back into time, seeing demons everywhere walk around and dressed like they were in the roaring twenties.Â
It was awfully..nice, peaceful even (if you could stomach the literal stomach lying there.)
âMaybe I can hide somewhere..â You thought by yourself, as cannibals noticed you. You pulled your hood up, scared out of your mind. You didnât look like them, hell you didnât even fit in the aesthetic of their era.Â
âIâm not here, Iâm not real, you donât see me..â You whispered, more to yourself than to others.Â
The square itself was full of life, as the music played out of the old-time radios. 1920s hits playing softly as they danced to it. A trumpet laughed somewhere to your left, a record crackled, and couples spun lazily across the square as though this were any other pleasant afternoon. Demons danced arm in arm, shoes tapping in time, smiles sharp but relaxed. For a place built on flesh and fear, it had an unsettling amount of joy.
You stood at the side, mostly ignored by the people. You did your best anyways for that to happen. âHuh..â You whispered softly, a small smile covering your face. You didnât expect it to be so, chippy.
Your eyes glazed over, noticing for the first time in a while some shops.Â
Rosie's Emporium
It looked like it was buzzing inside of the shop, citizens left and right going over, entering and exiting the shop with either bags full of limbs or new clothes. You slowly stepped forward, your gut telling you that place could somewhat help you through the journey you have unmistakably stumbled upon.
Now just going there unseen..
You pulled your hood up, as people danced around you, left and right. You avoided their sways, kicks and sudden arm movements like you had been trained for it your entire life.Â
The rhythm changed however.
You couldnât hide forever, especially at the lot that eat each other when provoked and hungry.Â
And you were their new pray.
The laughter was still audible in the air, but it felt more sinister. Eyes suddenly on your form as you felt your skin shudder at the sudden attention. You didnât like it, and moved faster, trying your best to avoid the crowd.
âDo you smell that? That smells like fresh meat.â One demon simply stated, and all eyes suddenly snapped towards you. Turning around slowly, you saw them looking at you with a type of hunger you have never experienced before. It made you jump.
âNope fuck this-!â You screamed and just bolted away, running as fast as you could through all the demons in your path, who were all so eager to get their hands on you.
The moment you ran, the town square just exploded with excitement.
âCatch it!!â
âDonât let it get away!â
âI saw them first, I call dips!â
You shoved through them, as the laughter was ear deafening. You cried, the tears blurring your vision but you just had to go on, push forward, you couldnât give up now.
âDonât damage it!â
âI want the legs!â
âCareful! Itâs fragile!â
Fragile.
You always hated that word, the anger boiled inside of you. Anger consumed you as you grabbed the nearest wooden plank and swung at them.Â
The nearest demon didnât expect this, as it hit them square in the jaw. They all looked at you, wide eyed. You used this at your advantage and ran to the steps of the store.
You were almost there,
Untill you felt hands around your ankles, and you got janked down on the ground. Letting out a scream, you tried to kick them away, struggling as your feet were kicking the air, âGET AWAY FROM ME-!â You screeched, their nails digging into your legs, making it bleed as they were rather sharp.Â
A bell rang somewhere, pulling the attention from all the cannibals on top of you.Â
âWhat is the meaning of all of this??â A female voice raised alarm, as you could only guess would be Rosieâs.
You looked up like the rest of them, looking Rosie over. She had a certain aesthetic, like the rest of the place, Her hat poofed up and her dress elegantly draping over her figure, the skull onto her hat wasnât unnoticed. It suited her.
You were still scared as fuck though.
âReally.â She scolded everyone like they were children, âMust we behave like feral beasts every time something interesting wanders in?â the voice continued. âItâs terribly unbecoming.â Her gaze moved from the blood on the stones⌠to your torn clothes⌠to the claw marks on your legs.
Her eyes lingered back to you, as she lowered herself on your level. You flinched a little, ready to defend yourself again as the cuts on your legs slowly continued bleeding on her steps.
âEasy dearie..â She spoke softly, âCan you stand?â She asked you, which you tried your best, hurting a lot but biting your tongue. You breath was heavy, but at least you were still breathing.
She glanced down at the blood on her steps and sighed. âIf this mortal gets even one scratch more on them, well you can ask my husband what happened nextâ She smiled, her teeth as sharp as a knife. It wasnât the kind smiles she gives to her closest people, but it set her people straight.
After all patience can run thin.
She helped you inside, and closed the door. For the moment being, you were safe at least..
For now.
âââââââââââââââ
Rosie took you towards the back, as you limbed a bit through. Curiosity got the better of you though, as you lifted your eyes from the floor and began looking around.Â
It felt peaceful, besides the obvious touches of cannibalism, it was nice. Shelves held hatboxes and gloves, jewelry laid out in velvet trays. A sitting area near the front had plush chairs and a small table set with teacups. One still warm, steam curling lazily into the air. Toward the back, the âotherâ goods became more obvious: parcels wrapped in butcher paper, labels written in careful script. Bones cleaned and polished like decorative pieces. Jars you very deliberately did not look at for long.
âSit,â Rosie spoke softly, pointing towards the chair. âDo you want some tea dear? Youâre probably not the biggest fan of ourâŚmethods here.â She gave you that smile again, only it was a bit scarier for you since the teeth looked so sharp.
She was ransacking her cabinets, looking for ingredients that werenât meat related. At the same time, as the water was boiling, a med kit came out of hiding. She settled it down on the table, pushing the cup aside to give you her undivided attention.
âTell me, what is a pretty human like yours doing out here in the slums?â She took the bandages out of the kit, while setting it aside. Taking ahold of the alcohol, she pressed it on a cotton and plant it gently onto your wounds, making you hiss.
âFucking..â You cursed, hand gripping onto the chair. âI-I donât know-â you eventually answer her back. âI mean I was on my couch? Watching this documentary when I heard a noise outside.âÂ
You blinked your tears away as you bit your tongue, god did that sting.
âAnd then I saw these creatures? They went through a portal of some sort and when I went through, I landed here-â You explained as Rosie shook her head, âhumans and their curiosity..â She wrapped your legs up with bandages, her hands gentle compared to her people.
âLucky for you,â she continued, âyou didnât land somewhere less⌠civilized.â
You laughed, as she passed you the tea once she finished bandaging you up. âIf this is civilized, then Iâm really scared what the other regions are like.â You took a little sip from your tea, before actually drowning it down a little.
âOh, sweetheart,â she said, setting the now-closed med kit back into its cabinet, âyou have no idea how bad the other regions get.â She laughed softly, looking back at you. âThey wonât mess with you anymore, but if we ever take you somewhere else, youâll stand out like a sore thumb.â She giggled, offering you a finger, which you quickly shook your head to.
Force of habit I suppose.
The bell rang again, indicating that someone has entered the building. Your head shoot up, as Rosies eyes lit up in delight, body posture completely changing.
âOh Rosie my dear!â a sing-song voice rang out. âWell, speak of the devil,â she said warmly, already moving that way. âRight on time, too.â
He was holding a bouquet of some flowers of sorts, before stepping more inside. âYou simply wouldnât believe the delightful chaos outside! Why, I havenât seen the square that animated in years-â He was cut of by the sight of you.
His smile widened, intrigued by your presence.
âWhat do we have here!â His voice felt familiar, like you have heard it before. Somewhere, somehow. âThis is certainly an interesting sight to behold.âÂ
He leaned forward slightly, bouquet lowering as if heâd momentarily forgotten it existed. âA human,â he said, savoring the word. âAlive. Conscious. And sipping tea in Cannibal Town.â
And suddenly it all clicked.
Your breath caught, the tea cup suddenly spilling as you quietly cursed, quickly trying (and failing) to grab some napkins to clean the mess.
âOh! Now that simply wonât do.â
Suddenly, a sort of shadow voodoo were cleaning up the mess you accidentally made, which made Rosie shake her head, chuckling to herself. âAlastor darling, youâre showing off again.âÂ
âFirst rule of hospitality,â he said lightly, ânever let a guest fret over a mess.â
He stood in front of you, his face finally clicked for you, looking familiar as ever.Â
â..Alastor.â You tested the waters, his appearance was certainly different than the pictures you have seen in your family album that somehow survived the ages. You were directly looking at one of your old family members.
He grinned, a soft radio noise behind him as he noticed your gaze. His smile sharpened, more amusement than predatorial.Â
â..Do you remember Ămile..?â You spoke softly, trying to find any reaction of recognition in his eyes.Â
The static of the Radio was suddenly gone, as if a record got brutally stopped. â..What did you just say?â His voice was tight, but his smile never faltered.
âĂmile, I-â you whispered softly, âShe told me, slightly about you. They rather didnât talk about it.â You squinted a bit, âyou have the same eyes, as the once you have alive.â
Rosie looked back and forth, as if measuring the tension in the air. Her fingers tightened slightly around the edge of the table, but she didnât speak. No she let it all play out, until it became to much.
ââŚThe same eyes,â he repeated slowly, letting the words roll over your trembling form. His voice was quiet, almost a purr, but there was an edge to it, like the static had been replaced by a tension you could feel. âInteresting⌠very interesting indeed.â
You got a bit bolder, which could mean your death. â..Ămile is my MawMawâÂ
Alastors smile strained, but it also had something softer in his edges. â..Last time I saw her, she was just a little girl herself.â He stated, looking you over. You had the same eyes, the eyes were traits his whole family always passed down.
They also were full of determination. Also a family trait they somehow have.
He laughed, a kind of loud laugh you hadnât really expected. Your legs throbbed but you stood anyways, much to Rosieâs dismay. He towered of you, leaning a bit on his cane, which you saw was just one big microphone. âWell, this certain has become a whole lot more interesting.âÂ
He did a dramatic twist with his cane, standing up straight again. Rosie huffed from the side, clearly unimpressed by the theatrics. âAlastor,â she said sharply, âdonât frighten them further than necessary. Theyâre already bleeding and exhausted.â
He just laughed again, his smile just as sharp as before. He ignored her, as you stood tall, but you couldnât help it, a small smile one from yourself slowly slipped. âIn my defence, I watched maybe a bit too many documentaries of you.â
âYou know,â he took a seat close to you, âthereâs something deeply ironic about being remembered that way.â His grin widened again. âI was far more interesting in person.â
âI wouldnât have known..MawMaw didnât really talked about you.â You stared at him, even though he was family, he was still a demon and that made you still be a bit on your guard.
Rosie hovered nearby, pretending to tidy a shelf while very obviously listening in. Alastor leaned back slightly, fingers tapping an idle rhythm against the armrest.
âYou know..â Alastor began, ignoring your comment before.
You have a feeling he was good with that.
âAs much as I know Rosie dear is capable, It might be a better thing to have you moved out of here, my dear.â He stated, looking at his nails. âExcuse me?â Rosie immediately looked over.
âMy dear, you have the best intentions about this situation, but word travels fast. They might be safe now, but you never know for how long that will last.â He lifts his gaze back to you.
âMy hotel,â Alastor went on, âis neutral ground. No one hunts there without my express permission.â A faint crackle brushed the edges of his voice. âAnd no one survives doing so without it.â
âYou mean the Morningstarâs express permission..â Rosie whispered, as your blood ran cold. âMorningstar..? As in The L-Lucifer Morningstar..?â
Alastor extended his hand again, not closer this time, not insistent. Just there. You didnât really know how to react to it, making you watch his hand a bit closer. All you know now of all of this realm, is when you die, you take the form of your death.
How Ironic that your family member got turned into the one thing he got mistaken for.
âYou donât have to decide now,â he said, voice softer than before. âBut understand this my dear,â He specified.Â
âHell is already aware of you.â
Rosieâs hand gently laid on top of your shoulder, âbesides dearie, The Morningstarâs arenât exactly what you think, remind me, how do you describe her again Alastor?âÂ
âLetâs just say, Charlie is aggressively sincere.â His grin sharpens, just a little. Itâs weird, all of this is weird.Â
You are literally talking to demons, whoâs one of is literally your far, far family and you are supposed to act normal? Normal is already thrown out the window.
âSoooo, I wonât be beaten to a pulp or punished by this.. Charlie Morningstar?â You questioned, a bit confused.Â
âQuite the contrary,â Alastor said smoothly. âSheâll likely insist on a welcome tour, a room makeover, and some sort of color-coded schedule for your emotional well-being.â You stared at him. ââŚYouâre messing with me.â His grin widened. âOnly a little.â
A snort escaped your lips, ââŚhuh, hell is a little less chaotic and more New York City-â They laughed at that, the situation comfortable besides the bizarre events that has taken place today.
âAlright,â You looked at Alastor, âIâll be at the hotel with you, but you have to promise that I can ask questions and Iâll be safe.â You pointed at Alastor, his shadow dancing around him a little, a brighter grin was displayed on it.
âMy My, demanding are we,â He teased lightly, but no real bite behind it. Yet.
âOh please, as if you would pass on talking about yourself Alastorâ Rosies hands were on her hips, before helping you get up.
You tested your weight, wincing only slightly. The bandages held. Rosie adjusted your sleeve, then brushed imaginary dust from your shoulder, her touch grounding.
âYou ask your questions,â she added more softly, meeting your eyes. âAnd donât let him dodge them all with riddles. He loves doing that.â
âI do no such thingâ He grinned, offering his arm for you to hold onto, which with the stake your legs were in, youâd happily grabbed ahold of. You turned your head back, and a small smile covered your lips, âThank you, Rosie.âÂ
The weight of that hang in the air, as she smiled softly. âIf anything dearie, when you get your footing here, youâre always welcome for another cup of tea.â
You laughed softly, âIâll hold you up to that.â
âShall we?â Alastor looked down at you, his expression unreadable, youâll get it someday. Itâs the family bond that always does that.
âTa-Ta Rosie my dear!â He waved, walking with you (more like dragging) as you tried your best to keep his pace with the injuries on your legs.
You glanced back, just once.
It looked really peaceful honestly, but one thing you were curious about. If this was the most peaceful part of hell,Â
What are the other places like?
I have an idea, and a dream. Little teaser to a new series I might release
Spot the difference
I am sure someone has already pointed this out but... dude
Both were willing to watch the world burn for one dude. Just rewatched Superman and Lex opened up dangerous dimensional rifts that were tearing Metropolis apart and sparked wars just to kill Superman.
Vox was willing to destroy both heaven and Pentagram city (his own turf and supporters) just to take down Alastor.
Vox and Lex are also both rich tech CEOs and have three letter names ending in 'x'.
Okay, bye.

âOwww, kinktober is over đđđâ
AS IF YOU DIDNâT READ SMUT ALL YEAR ROUND, YOU WHOREEEEEE
Uhhhh đ what about Vox X Reader X Velvette?
Specifically a Reader that dislikes the spotlight, in fact works as a copywriter for Vox, maybe in an already established relationship, or rather situationshipđ, until at some point Velvette comes in the picture to deal with the Social Media management part of the job, and takes a liking for Reader too. đ
And maybe, Vel starts to court Reader, claiming She'd be better off as one of her models, rather than be wasted as one of Vox' lackays. And maybe Vox would not be pleased at all, and so rivarly shenanigans would ensue... đ
Until Reader reminds them She has two hands?đ
I think I'll be đAnon.
Vox x !Copywriter reader x Velvette
a/n: Hi anon! Thank you so much for your request, I loved writing about these two idiots. I'm sorry in advance if these two are a little OOC. I hope I did them a bit of justice (we are LACKING content of both of them fr). I'm also trying out an new way of writing, so let me know what you guys think!
word count: 1963 Requests are still open!
-first, its very obvious that both you and Vox have..something going on.Â
-you are his favorite copywriter after all, while the rest of the baffons, I mean, employees are totally incompetent in doing their job. You always came up with fresh new ideas, no matter the challenges.
-Vox always and I mean always bragged about you, especially towards Valentino and Velvette. Since youâve worked with him his numbers has been through the roof, and obviously heâs very please that he found this talent for his department.
-So, when Velvettes copywriter died cause of the extermination, naturally, she got curious about your so called âskillsâ
-This caused to them having a little squabble back and forth about if Velvette can even use you as her copywriter.
âVox, I know you sometimes can be an possessive piece of shit, but Jesus Christ get your claws Off the copywriterâ
âSheâs my talent Velvette, use your own one-â
âSHE DIED YOU BLOODY-â
-cue you being called into the office, meeting both Vox and Velvette, Vox showing you that signature smirk as Velvette didnât even look up her phone, typing away as she always does.
-but once you fully entered the office, as Voxâs sharks excitedly swam in their tank, she looked up and just stopped for just a moment
-now she knew why vox was so set on keeping you, you were gorgeous.
âDoll! Iâm glad that you could make it!â Vox exclaimed dramatically, putting one of his hands on your waist. (As if you could even say no to your boss.)
You gently smiled your smile, a questionable gaze in your eyes as you looked between Vox and Velvette. âWhat is this about..?â You asked hesitantly, as you didnât like the attention this already gotten.
You were supposed to be writing, and you have this feeling this is already getting you some unknown attention you donât desire.
âSimply this honey, Velvette is making ridiculous claims-!â âDonât listen to flat screen over there.â
Your head twist over towards her, as she jumped out of her chair. âMy question is simple, My copywriter is dead, I need a new one, I donât want these prats, I want someone I know could succeed.â She smirked, and looked at you. âThatâs you darling, I want you to work for me.â
You were absolutely speechless, not only are you seeing these two glaring daggers towards each other, they were fighting over you like little kids fighting to share some toys.
-Velvette didnât expect you to agree, but she was over the moon (on the inside) when you did.
-Vox, less pleased, offered you a new contract, making you work for both Vox and Velvette. For better pay (although he already paid you good money, canât speak for the other employees though..
-first day on her floor wasâŚsomething.
-you heard of voxâs tantrums, never in the room to need to deal with them (yet), but Velvette was like an explosion you had no idea that was coming.
âDid you ask your grandmother for fashion advice?? Are you kidding me??â
âI donât FUCKING pay you to make this ugly shit, REDO IT.âÂ
âWhat even IS this? You got possessed by a toddler halfway through?â
-But the moment she saw you? She was instantly in a better mood. You wrote stuff so beautifully that you made her stuff go more viral than she normally does herself.
-Sheâs impressed to say the least, Vox said she was an absolute beast, but she really didnât think she would be this good.
âDarling!â Velvette smiled a rare smile at you. You were scared that scowl would be stuck on her face for her entire afterlife. She gave you three air kisses, as she looked at you.
âAnother viral clickbate social post, I donât know what witchcraft you are practicing, but keep on at it.â She smirked, clicking away on that phone of hers.Â
You werenât used to her floor yet, where every angle could be a shot, where cameras, lights and greenscreens were in every corner. You had to adjust your eyes a little, everything brighter than the places you write at, (even though vox offered you several times to get you a nicer office, you kept refusing.)
âJust doing my job Maâamâ You smiled gently at her, trying not to get on her bad side.
She tilted her head, smirking at you. âSee? Thatâs why I Like you, You just deliver and donât show offâ she wrapped her arm around you and brought you more on the floor, âUNLIKE SOME ABSOLUTE DIMWITS.â She screamed at her staff, scurrying away.
-neither to say, both vox and velvetteâs content are going through the roof.
-They made a little competition who would get the best numbers out of the both of them that week.
-Vox sometimes pester you on Velvetteâs floor, dropping off gifts here and there.
-the newest gadgets always went through you first, and at some point he made it an daily routine.
-Velvette of course noticed, and tries to one up him, new clothes, opinions on the fashion line
-You got the reputation off being their favourite, so if someone from the employee think its a good idea to mess with you, than they are fairly mistaken.
-You honestly are quite overwhelmed with all this attention you suddenly have been getting.
-You own your own little office, somewhere in between velvettes and voxâs terrain, where literally all gifts from both parties reside most of the time.
You sighed, your head resting against the chair youâve been sitting at all morning. Working for both of them meant bigger work load, and it was kicking your ass at the moment.
You closed your eyes a bit, âjust a five minute nap..â You told yourself, as you slowly drifted off a bit.
Thats the biggest lie anyone could tell themselves and you know that.
When you woke up, your first thought was, âIâm getting so fired-â but you realised not only were you not in your office, you also werenât at your own house. Everything was too blue to be your house.
You woke up in sheets so soft it came from heaven itself, you blinked your sleep away. This wasnât your room and that was for certain now.
It was voxâs
âYou really know how to push yourself huh doll?â A voice startled you, as you looked at him. He was looking at his digital screens, his eyes darting over to you.
He let you sleep.
âWhat Time is it..?â Your voice groggy, as you slowly sat up. âEarlyâ he spoke simply, as you rubbed your sleep away.
âYou passed outâ he stated simply, as he finally waved away his work. He stood up from his chair, as he slowly walked over to you, âYou donât remember me carrying you, do you?
You could sink into the damn ground.
âN-No- I donât-â you stutter, as he chuckled. âYouâre okay doll,â he held his hand up, as the door clicked, seeing velvette step inside, a scowl on her face.
âI fucking told you vox, sheâs not fine.â She argued towards him, âsheâs overworked asshole.â Vox rolled his eyes, âdoesnât mean incompetent, dear velvette.â He grinned
They bickered and fought, but it did warm your heart a bit. They fought over you, and even when you donât really like attention on yourself, it made you blush a bit.
-After that incident, they both looked out for you in a way you didnât expect.
-all of the sudden, alarms you didnât remember setting go off, with labels like âhydrate doll, your eyes are glued towards the screen.â
âTake a walk for a second, stretch those sexy legsâ
âPosture dearâ
(Vox would totally hack the phone he gave you, its literally his niche)
-Velvette texts you once In a while, often in disguise of work, but she throws in some âhave you eaten today?â
-the shift started slowly, but surely it was happening.
-they often invited you to dinners, (much to the dismay of Valentino, who has to listen to their bickers before you came over) and did movie nights with them!
-you realised that they may not only become your bosses, but something more.
-afterall who else could say they have matching pjs with their bosses?
-They were shameless flirts after all, making it a literal competition who could get the girl first.
-you slowly began to enjoy it though, the attention of it all, having the biggest panic in your life. (Pls bisexuals would be quaking in their boots)
You were buried in blankets and pillows, waiting as their princess to be pampered.
They were both In the open kitchen, Vox in his sharks themed pj shorts and shirt, Velvette in this gorgeous pink silk set, showing exactly how different they both are.
âOh please, if she ever needs to choose someone, she would choose me. Obviously.â Velvette suddenly chimed in, her hands on her hips as she smirked to vox.
Vox led out a dry laugh, his hands occupied into making deserts for the three of you. âYouâd forget her birthday if your phone died Vel, I hardly think youâd be the best choice.â
She scowled, her temper getting the best out of her, âas if your live tv ass could ever accomplish making her feel adored.â
He halted, looked at her and smirked. âOkay, then what is her favourite tea? Can you notice when sheâs tired and hasnât slept in a while? I havenât heard you mention it at all.â You teased, a little bite in it.
Velvette scoffed, she looked away. âI know when sheâs overworked, I donât need to watch her ass the whole time to notice it you triple battery ass-â
âGuys-â Your voice broke them out of the argument, a light blush on your face. âYou donât- You donât have to fight over me..â You spoke softly, when you got both of their attention.Â
They both looked up at you, really looked at you. Your face kinda heated up, your hair covering a bit of your eyes as you didnât look at them.
Vox abandoned the deserts, making its way to you with a soft grin. âDoll..?â He teased, as Velvette stood behind you, caressing your hair.
âI donât want to choose-!â You blurred out, biting your lip. The truth, now out in the open for everyone to know.
Silence was the only answer youâve met with, making you fidget with the blanket. âIts stupid Iâm sorry-â
You snapped out of it when Velvette slowly sank next to you, her hand gently cupping the side of your face. âYou sure..?â She said, uncharacteristic and soft.
You nodded a bit, leaning into the touch as Vox came to the other side, his hands finding your waist as his thumb stroked your sides. âYou donât have to..â He smiled softly, loving how small you feel compared to him.
âYou donât have to say it just to keep us happy,â Vox said quietly, his voice losing that usual showman slickness. âWeâll stop. Weâll pull back. You never, ever, have to choose in a way that hurts.â
âIt hurts more to think that I could lose one of you..â You whispered softly, leaning into all the touches provided by the both of them.
ââŚWeâll figure something out.â She spoke eventually, kissing your forehead as she joined the group hug.
You smiled softly, eyes closed as you felt their hearts beat a little faster than normal.
-after that conversation, you three became an official throuple
-you can say goodbye to the crappy apartment you always went to, cause they will buy you literally anything your heart desires.
-You still work for them, but now the workdays is you, in bed, voxâs arm wrapped over your waist as his screen on power save mode with the voxtech logo bouncing around and Velvette playing with your hair as she scrolls on her phone.
-Vox installed an biometric lock into your room, where they reside mostly anyways. Only their faces and your fingerprints can open the room now. Valentino tried once? Letâs just say he couldnât hear for over 3 hours that day.
-Matching pjs, they are an absolute must.
-Voxâs has this habit to kiss on top of your head when you are close by, or when he walks by. You act annoyed, but you really arenât.
-Velvette loves to doll you up and takes pictures, âbaby you just look so good.â She showers you with kisses when the two (or three, depends if vox is there) are alone.
-They are a bit removed away from you when in public, theyâll still show you off of course, but PDA is a little less. They are still overlords after all, you canât show everything to the public now, can you?
-That doesnât mean they arenât possessive little shits, At galaâs, Velvette grins at you and stays close as Voxâs hand rest on your lower back, guiding you through the crowd.
-They also claim they donât get jealous fast, but the moment one of them suggest they are better at something than the other? All of the sudden you are having a kissing competition of 3 hours and swollen lips as results.
-The little reminders never stopped, they just multiplied
-You are literally the safest sinner in all of hell
-Lets just say, they just love you very much <33
âyeah i read a lot!â
âoh awesome! What books do you read?â
a/n: This idea came in my head after @rinz0ra gave me an idea "maybe one where vox looses everything in the end. hes like pathetic and now has to endure with his failure of becoming a god or something?? đĽ¸"
Also! warning! english isn't my first language and there is some crappy spanish in this, so beware :)
Also spoilers, Obviously. Summeray: You were Vox's assistant since he first began building his kingdom, but after the battle, he got stripped off his powers and you had been turned into an assistant of the other Vees. They just didn't know what they have unleashed yet.
After the battle, A lot became different in Voxtek. The employees were a lot more on edge than before, working themselves to the bone until they dropped out of exhaustion or even died. The reputation got hit pretty hard, with Vox going on a rampage. You were there, of course you were there, Vox's favourite assistant by his side while everything went down? Not anymore, you didn't know how to feel about the boss being so determined to snipe down Alastor. So, you decided for now, you'd be an assistant to all the vees, creating distance between you and the overlord. Your heels clicked as you walked behind Valentino, your notebook clutched against your chest as he was rambling on about different projects he could do for the porn industry. You wrote them down as fast as you could, as quiet as possible. You weren't like this, before everything. You had a temper, spitfire, an personality. Now, it was like you were transformed into any other employee around him. "Y/n," Val's voice cut you out of your own head, as you looked up at him. "You've been awfully quiet these past few weeks querida, wanna tell papĂŹ what's wrong?" He grinned, the pink smoke coming out of his mouth, definitly from the cigarettes he's been smoking just a moment before. You swallowed, hard. "Nothing boss," Was all you said, as you went into his office with him. "muĂąeca, I can tell someone has lost their spirit. Don't play coy with me." You grit your teeth, as you just stood there, taking his harsh tone. You gripped at your notes, the only thing grounding you from screaming at him. which would be the absolute wrong move. ever. âWork. Work. More work.â He hummed, unimpressed. âDead eyes. Dead words. Dead passion.â He tossed the notebook onto his desk like garbage. âYou used to argue with me. Do you remember that?â His grin widened. âBecause I do.â You glared at him, the anger visible in your eyes. "I'm only your assistant cause I need to be, boss." you spit out, the heat in your eyes present. "Vox has fucked up, I'm trying to fix it, to get him back on top, cause my loyalty lies to him." You stood toe to toe to Valentino, who was at least a whole feet taller than you. By then you realised you said to much, and that you royally fucked up.
The words hang heavy in the air, the silence so deafening it could cut your throat.
"say that again." Valentino challenged, "Sir I-" "Say. It. Again." He ordered, his voice loud and demanding, his smoke in the room suddenly thick and suffocating.
"my loyalty.." you spoke softly, feeling like an idiot trapped in a fly trap, "...lies to vox." The sudden sting across your cheek as you fell a big backwards shook you.
"And where is he now?" He looked down at you, his wings suddenly open. "...He's not here." you spoke softer, your spirit slowly getting tested. "Oh he certainly isn't cariĂąa."
You've known about Valentino and his anger, you've been Vox's assistant for years, even had to watch it. Watch it all.
"he's not here." He grabbed your arm, tugging at it as you felt your lip bleed. He squeezed hard, you just knew he would make it bruise. But your eyes never left his. He threw you against the wall, hard and fast. Your head felt light, vision slightly blurred as you coughed.
"get out of my SIGHT." You jumped in your skin, and immediately got out of there, stumbling out before his anger could become life dangerous for you.
legs taking you anywhere, anywhere where Valentino and Velvette couldn't find you. The blood on your face was evidence of the mistreatment you just received.
Hitting the bottom, the secret bottom that Vox specifically build for you, your elevator went down. Down the level no one expect you and him could reach.
Making it a space just for the two of you.
You groaned softly, wiping your tears away and stood up right. Your rib hurts, but you ignored it. You had something in mind, something vox won't refuse, ever.
You slowly walk up to his platform, after the battle you quickly took his head over to the darkest places in the room. The big screens suddenly light up, indicating he was expecting you.
"Boss."
His Grin appeared on the screens, the same one you have looked at since you began working for him. "Little pet finally decided to come back?" you taunts you, anger in his voice.
so he was still angry about what has happened, You sweatdrop, not in the mood for games. "I have an proposition" You spoke, after what felt like hours of silence.
You walked over slowly, even only with screens, his presence always gave you chills. "I want to make an deal."
His grin faded, his expression serious. "what can you possible offer me that is useful for me?" He looked down at you, as you raised an eyebrow. "well for starters, one of us can at least walk." giving him sass.
he laughed, "there is that spitfire of mine, I missed it these past few weeks." The electricity flowing through the room, you closed your eyes relishing it. "You've did become so boring to watch doll, thought I lost you there."
You opened your eyes, your hands on his chair where he used to sit, "I will help you become new, I will help you build your kingdom. But we will do it my way." You glared at one of the screens, where he fully manifested.
"you have my soul, in return I want yours." You spoke softly.
The words were in the air, his expression unreadable as he studied you, "That doesn't sound like a deal doll.." another screen lit up with him, his left eye bigger. "That sounds like a bond."
You kept looking at him, you spoke softly. "we will do it my way and my way alone. I will build you a new body, so you can be here physical again. I don't want to be your pet, I don't want just your assistant."
You stepped closer, holding his head that Valentino ripped off his body. "I want to be your equal. No double crossing."
He stayed quiet, as you looked at him. "I don't see any other opportunities anytime soon." You reminded him, his situation wasn't the best right now and the both of you knew it.
His screen glitches, but his eyes kept being glued on you. "...I knew keeping you around was one of the best decisions I've made." he stated boldly. Warmth flooded through your stomach, the praise was something you hadn't heard from him in a good while.
he looked at you, "and you know what it entails?"
"yes."
"And you want to stand at my side?"
"I will stand with you." You declared softly.
That did it for him, his grin more wicked than then it has been in the last few weeks. "Then sweetheart.." He spoke softly, just you and him.
"What's stopping us?"
and in the first time since after the battle,
you smiled.

So, why don't I see anybody talking about these cunty ass poses in Brighter? Cause we, as a society, not talking about this is fucking CRIMINAL.
YAS BITCH SLAY!!!
vox x !fallen angel reader
Just a little something I somehow had in my mind while listening to 'House ft John Cale' from charli xcx. Beware this is just a bit of my imagination, but it does have a bit of season 2 elements! Beware! inbox is open! Show it some love <33
You saw him, before he sees you. The city in full ruins, his electrifying laugh coming out of his mouth as all the sudden he got taken care of.
An angelic spear dug deep into his shoulder.
You ran, ignoring the warnings and cries of the others. Velette trying to stop you, Valentino screaming for you to come back to them.
You felt the sting of an tentacle wipping around your wrist, tugging you to go back. Alastor.
You wipped your head around, seeing his forever haunting smile, but you ignored him, tugging as you spread your wings. You fought hard, every step towards the one you fought, for the one you wanted to be closer to.
You got free of his grip, heart beating in your chest. Landing in front of vox, who was laying to still in the rubble.
You held him, tears streaming a bit down your eyes. âPlease..Vox..â you hiccuped, hand on his monitor, settling his head on your lap.
He smiled weakly at you, his fingers brushing your cheek softly. âDoll..â you heard his weak voice.
âI-I can fix it-â you held him tightly, worrying about his wounds, inspecting for any other ones, other than the huge spear coming out of his shoulder.
âY/-â you heard Charlie speak, her hand reaching out for you and vox. Everyoneâs eyes were on you, what you would do with him.
âGET AWAY FROM US!â You held him close, carefully not to make his wounds worse. Your wings creating a gush of wind as you looked over them, anger in your eyes as you watched everyoneâs move. The wind blowing everyone back a few spaces.
You whistled, âSHOCKWAVE.â You screamed, the shark reacting to his daddy being injured. His mouth fuming and growling as you slowly lift vox up. Glitching like crazy on his screen, the hurtful scream he let indicated he was still very much alive.
You looked back at the princess, your eyes maniac, as they slowly shifted.
The radio demon.
You smile, your smile turning into a mad one. âYouâll pay for this.â
And with that, in the state of insanity, you flew off, with the speed of light, as you held vox close and with shockwave hot on your trail.
Leaving them in the dust
For now.
