Hit the Books: to study (if you take this literally, well, that’d just be awful and painful).

Just discovered that the collective noun for Narwhals is a blessing...
as in ‘a blessing of Narwhals’
Authors and their books love to be loved. Below are ten ways you can support authors and share their books with other readers. Some are simple tasks, others require a bit more time, but doing any of these ten things will help to keep the literary community alive and let both...
is there a word for “i’m okay but it’s a fragile kind of okay so be gentle with me”?

Re: The Duff by Kody Keplinger. Liking the whole ‘be less judgmental’ message, plus body positivity and its rather frank portrayal of teenage relationships. But because Bianca is 17, I felt kind of like a creepy voyeur (hence the confusedface.gif). All reports say the movie is pretty awesome.

There are a few interpretations you could take from this ^ and to me it means: Life can feel like a competition but don’t ‘spiritually’ hurt yourself and others with hatred. Try to be forgiving and compassionate because ‘resentment is like taking poison and wait for the other person to die’ - Malachy McCourt
what are we???? WRITERS!!!!!! what are we gonna do???? WRITE!!!!!!!!!! when are we gonna do it???????? //distant sobbing
Set a daily word goal and try to stick with it
Can’t get to your computer? Record notes on your phone or write in a notebook

John Green at BookCon, 5/30/15
Went to the Writing Matters event on Sunday at the State Library of Victoria and it was awesome.
A few writing tips from the authors who presented: - To write you should also read, and read widely - Don't be afraid being critiqued - Finish writing your stories (it's often the toughest part) - Fan Fiction is a fine place to start if you're creative - Leave space for the reader's imagination - While writing think 'what precisely would my character do/react in this situation?'
A few great literary cat names:
