i am once again making myself sad thinking about how different things could have been if lestat and louis weren’t allergic to talking to each other about their feelings and trauma in an open and honest way. imagine the difference it could have made if lestat had been like, “my last boyfriend went crazy, told me he hated me and always hoped we would fail, got his hands cut off, and then conga lined into a raging fire.” and then louis could have been like “wow, that sucks. my brother told me i should sell everything i own and donate it to jesus and i laughed in his face and then he was immediately yeeted down the stairs by an invisible force and broke his neck and everyone thinks i killed him???? anyway its been a hard year” etc. i cant stress vampire therapy enough. i can’t.
