صهيب .....

“Verily, Allah gives wealth to whom He loves and whom He does not loves, but He does not give Īmān except to whom He loves!”

[Az-Zuhd Li Ibn Abī Dunyā: 149]

Sometimes the peace we’re looking for isn’t in people, but in being alone, where our heart can finally breathe.

Ibn Qudāmah رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ said:

‎“Loneliness saves you from the evil of the people.”

"A person's adab is a sign of his happiness and success. The lack of adab is a sign of his misery and ruin. The goodness of the dunya and akhirah is drawn by the likes of adab, and the deprivation of their goodness is drawn by the lack of adab."

“Too much socialising, wishing for things, attachment to others besides Allah, filling one's stomach and sleep. These five affairs are among the greatest corrupters of the heart.”

Allahumma qawwinee wa qalbee.

❝ It is essential for a person to set aside some time for themselves, to engage in supplication, remembrance (Dhikr), prayer, contemplation, introspection, rectification of the heart and other spiritual practices which require solitude and seclusion. ❞

“Whoever realizes that the Dunya is like ice that melts away, and that the Akhirah is like a pearl that lasts on, his interest in selling the former for the latter will become stronger.”

Consult your soul, consult your heart. Righteousness is what reassures your soul and your heart, and wrongdoing is what wavers in your soul and puts tension in your chest, even if the people approve it in their judgments again and again.

Things will fall into place and tranquillity will settle, if you remember the Hand who carves our fate.

Give me a daughter with your stubborn heart, or your even temper. Give our children your dark-bright eyes, or your enchanted smile. So that even when we are gone, the world will find within them all of the reasons why I loved you.

"If you find a darkness in your heart after you have sinned, then know that in your heart there is light, because of that light you felt darkness."
