Sugar And Spice… I Guess

I know I haven’t posted in a while but I have currently creating a new story!

I still plan on continuing ‘Seraphim’ but I was inspired to crest something new:)

AND

Because I’m so happy with the story I commissioned a friend of mine to draw out the main character in the Dispatch artstyle!

I am very very excited!

~ The Z-team was already painfully chaotic as it is, and our feathered hero is finally understanding that ~

The Z-teams first shift with their new dispatcher was chaotic. After the team got all the jokes out of their system they started there shift. After a few dispatches Seraphim can hear her team calling out days, the feathered heroes soon figured out they were betting on when their new dispatcher would quit. Punch up takes Wednesday as Coupé Tuesday while Malevola calls dibs on Monday. After Robert asks what they're doing, Visi answers “We're taking bets on when you’ll quit.” As Golem chimes in by calling Friday, the feathered hero laughs “Guess I’ll take Thursday then.” It was quiet for all of two seconds when Punch Up mentions the other night “Do you know who we saw in the bar last night? Mecha man!” Coupé then chimed in “Ya and he kicked Flambae's ass.” Seraphim laughs at the memory “Ya you better hope no one recorded that shit.” Flambae scoffs into the comms “Okay-okay, that little shit did not kick my ass.” Coupé lets out a small sigh “He kinda did though.” The feathered hero stifles her laughter “Ya it’s kinda hard to deny it when the evidence is very… evident.” She says as she breaks out into laughter. Robert decides to chime in “Yeah, I think I heard of that.” Flambae scoffs again and gets a little mad telling the team to shut up. The feathered hero rolls her eyes at the team's chaos and slightly shakes her head.

As she is dispatched out with Malevola, their new dispatcher asks the team “How long was the last dispatcher here?” Before anyone could get a word in, Flambae responded “Two days. New record.” Robert asks the walking fire ball “How the fuck did that happen?” And without missing a beat Flambae says “I set his car on fire. Yeah. Very flammable. Kia soul.” The feathered hero face palms as she responds to Flambae “Is that why there’s a burnt spot out front?” Flambae scoffs at the hero’s question “Well duh? I just said I set his car on fire.” Seraphim raises her eyebrows like Flambae can see her “Do you want me to take back my eyebrow pencil?” The line is silent for a bit before Flambae responds with a small “No.” The feathered hero laughs as Prism chimes in “Oh she got you good.” She says laughing. Punch up chimes in after saying “I’m not even the one getting dogged on and I need a drink.” He says laughing slightly

~ After an awkward encounter with a certain bat hybrid our feathered hero is a bit flustered. She was completely distracted until they got a new dispatcher… that’s when the chaos started ~

The day started like any other. The feathered hero got up, got ready and headed out to work. Remember to bring her eyebrow pencil for Flambae's sad burnt off eyebrows. Since she was a bit early the feathered hero decided she would stuff her hero suit in her bag then change at work, she was wearing some random leggings and sports bra. She knows her team wears their hero suits outside but she doesn’t feel like she has the confidence to just wander around. Since she wanted to stop and grab some breakfast and some sort of coffee to soothe her hangover. As she was flying to work she thought about all the commotion of last night. She just hopes she doesn’t run into that Mecha guy any time soon. The feathered hero quickly grabs a coffee and a donut from a place near by the SDN building. She sits on the roof of a building eating a donut with blue frosting, laughing slightly remembering Visi telling her something about being banned from the place. She finishes up the donut quickly and starts flying to work, as she flies over the buildings as she twirls in the air, enjoying the wings in her hair. As she lands on the roof of the SDN building she drops her bag that holds her suit and stretches her wings out slightly. The feathered hero was about to open the door that leads down stairs into the building, until she hears a large thud behind her. She turns around to see Sonar, he is in his mega bat form. Awkwardly standing and laying on the ground like her landed awkwardly. The feathered hero tilts her head slightly in confusion at the large hybrid, Sonar looks up at the woman with an awkward smile. He lifts up one of his large wings to wave slightly “Heyyy what’s up?” He says in a deep voice.

Sonar couldn’t help it. When we were flying to work he was still thinking about the situation with the new Z-team member. He just told himself he has to focus and ignore the feathered hero while they are working. That all came to a screeching halt when the bat hero was brought back to reality, when he saw Seraphim he was broken out of a trance. He never realized he zoned out until the SDN building was 10 feet under him. He tries to get his footing to land but fails miserably and trips on his own feet, falling down awkwardly just feet away from an angel. He mentally faces palms as the woman turns to look at him. He awkwardly lifts up one of his large wings and waves at the women “Heyyy What’s up?” He says as the feathered hero tilts her head while looking at him.

Seraphim wants to turn around, just ignore him and walk away. She doesn’t know why she does it, maybe it’s because she is a hero now, maybe because secretly deep down she thinks he’s attractive. She walks up to the large bat hybrid and offers him a hand up “You okay? Looks like a rough landing.” She says while looking down at Sonar. The large bat hybrid puts one of his large winged hand on the feathered hero’s as she helps him up.

Sonar feels like he swallowed a rock when he hears the feathered hero talk to him. He carefully sets one of his hands in hers as he stands up, still looking at her. “Y ya, I’m all good. Just stumbled a little bit.” He says, slightly laughing at himself. The feathered hero softly smiles at him, Somar swears he might melt if she stared at him like that any longer. He hates to admit it but he can’t stop looking at the feathered heroBefore the bat hybrid could say anything else Seraphim turned around on her heel and started walking to the door. Sonar stands there for a minute, just thinking…

As the feathered hero walked down stairs into work she was mentally beating herself up “Why would I say that… Why would I do that?” She talks to herself as she exits the door at the bottom of the stairs into an area of the building that had a bunch of offices and cubicles. Luckily, before she could say anything else to herself, she sees Malevola and Prism walking by. They both stop when they see the feathered hero and walk towards her “Hey girl! How was the rest of last night?” As Prism says that the feathered hero remembers her eyebrowless roommate “Ya yesterday night was… eventful. Promised Flambe I’d bring him my eyebrow pencil to help.” Seraphim says as she and Prism laugh “Flambae said he got banned from one of those stuffy ass hero bars.” Malevola shakes her head and says sarcastically “Damn and you two didn’t invite me? I’m hurt.” She says, rolling her eyes and laughing slightly, the feathered hero hums then dig around in her bag and passes her eyebrow pencil to Prism “Pass this off to Flambae for me. I haven't seen him since Friday so I couldn’t give it to him.” Prism takes it and laughs “To use an eyebrow pencil you actually need eyebrows.” She says putting the brow pencil in a small pocket on her suit. The feathered hero looks down at her phone to check the time, 7:27am, about 30 ish minutes before their shift starts. Seraphim stretched her wings as she looked back at the two women “Where were you guys headed?” She asks Malevola, who motions to Prism “I was gonna go with her to the smoke pit to see if anyone has cigs.” The tall demon woman says as the multi coloured hair woman nods as she types away on her phone. The winged hero laughs slightly “I’m gonna head to the change room but after I can meet you there and give you one. I got some in my locker.” Malevola's eyes lit up “Yes please, I’ll buy you lunch!” The tall demon women clasping her hands together, Seraphim laughs at tall demon women “No no it’s okay. Consider it a thank you for sharing your lunch with me“ before Seraphim could say anything Malevola cut her off “No I was the one who knocked your lunch to the ground. It’s fine, just take the free food.” The feathered hero lets out a sigh and accepts the tall woman's offer.

As Malevola talks with the new feathered Z-team member she definitely sees why Sonar is flipping his shit. She watches the woman walk away to the change rooms. She has been his friend for a while and they are really close. She has seen his last few ‘girlfriends’ he had and they all seemed the complete polar opposite. She met a lot of Sonar's ex girlfriends before and the new feathered hero was like a breath of fresh air. Sure she was the one to first meet her out of the whole team but the newest member seemed calm and settled now. Her thoughts are interrupted by Prism laughing and shoving her phone in her face. On the phone is a photo of poor eyebrowless Flambae. Malevola laughs as the pair walk to the smoke pit.

The feathered hero quickly got changed and was walking towards the smoke pit. As she exits the building she can see the usual suspects at the smoke pit. Invisigal, smoking a cigarette. Golem, sitting beside her. Prism, sitting on the small bench hitting her vape. Then Malevola sitting beside her talking to invisigal about a new dispatcher or something. Seraphim walks up to the group, Visi instantly turns to the women “Oh my god please tell me you have a picture of the flaming idiot without his eyebrows.” She says as she starts to laugh “Pris won’t show me the picture.” She says whining like a little kid, Seraphim shakes her head at the invisible women “Unfortunately I don’t, you’ll just have to wait and see. Did you give him the eyebrow pencil?” She says looking to Prism. The woman nods and looks up from her phone, blowing vapor out of her lips “Never seen run so fast.” She says as looking back down at her phone. The feathered hero grabs a cig out of her pocket and puts it between her lips, lighting it. She then turns towards Malevola and tosses her a cig and lighter which she catches and quickly lights “Thanks man.” She says to the feathered hero.

Soon the group finishes up and goes back inside. They have about 10 minutes before their shift starts so most of the z-team is waiting around outside, minus Invisigal. Seraphim was chatting with Coupé when a deep depressed monotone familiar voice chimes in the comms.

“Hey team. This is your dispatcher, Robert Robertson. I’m starting my first shift—“ that was all it took for the comms to erupt with laughter. Prism is the first to speak after the laughter dies down “Tell me that’s not your real fuckin’ name?” While Flambae followed “You stuttering bitch? You can’t be this shook on your first day. Come on. While Sonar drones on in the background “Robert. Roberts. Robertsons. Roberts. Robertson.” Seraphim slightly laughs at the chaos of her team when the voice, the hero now knows as Robert, speaks again “Can we clear the channel please? There’s a lot of overlap.” He says while Sonar keeps going on in the background. Invisigals laughter cuts through the channel “I saw him in his underwear.” Prism chimes in “Who? Roberto Robertson?” The multicoloured hair woman says making the feathered hero start to laugh to herself. It wasn’t until Prism said “He packing much?” She and Prism start hysterically laughing with Visi. Robert tries to quiet down the team but Coupé cuts him off as she sighs“We get it you’re emo.” That’s when another new voice cuts through the comes telling everyone to shut up “Let me remind you! These calls are fucking recorded for training fucking purposes so keep the fucking line clear before we send your stupid fucking asses back to whatever fucking feel we pulled your stupid fucking asses out of! Aight?” The comm goes silent after that. This is going to be an interesting shift.

~ After a rough shit Seraphim got invited to go out with some of the team for drinks, what could go wrong? ~

The group walks up and into the first bar of the night, it was a smaller hero bar. As the feathered hero enters she can smell the faint smell of alcohol and smoke. Coupé walks off to a pool table as Flambae and Prism walk towards the small beat down karaoke stage, Sera and Punch Up make their way to the bar. Punch up hops up on the seat and orders two whiskeys as Seraphim orders some good gin. She just wanted something to help distract from a certain bat hybrid. As the pair were waiting for their drinks they stared up at the two TVs above the bar, one was playing a basketball game while the other was playing the news. There wasn’t much interesting stuff happening in Torrance, it wasn’t until a hero was being interviewed that it caught the two’s attention. He looked pretty tired and beat up, the small banner at the bottom of the screen read ‘Mecha Man retiring? Interview cut short? More at 8 after the break.’ The feathered hero let out a sigh “Jeez, looks like he’s had his ass kicked next Tuesday.” Punch Up says as he receives his drinks, Sera nods but before she could say anything Flambae cuts in “Ugh I hate that Mecha Dick, now he’s just a Mecha coward.” He says as he slightly laughs at his own joke, Seraphim looks at him and jokingly says “You sure you hate him and don’t wanna fuck him?” She says as she laughs as he pauses for a moment before he rebuttals and swats at her, though the way he pauses was like if he was really thinking about it. Flambae sits down beside the feathered hero as he gets his drink, Seraphim swirls her drink as she looks back up to the tv again. Watching Mecha Man give his speech and answering questions about his suit. Before anyone can say anything else the trio turns around to the sound of a man at the pool table is yelling “She’s fuckin’ cheating!” His large hand pointing at Coupé, she rolls her eyes “Bold of you to assume maybe aren't good at the game.” The man is significantly taller and larger than Coupé, but if it came down to them fighting she’d come out on top without breaking a sweat. Punch Out came up behind Coupé trying to cool down the situation, but it was too late. The bar keep was already on his way to talk to the security guard.

In under 5 minutes the group was kicked out of the bar “Fuckin pussies, I didn’t even get to finish my fuckin drink.” Flambae says dramatically, Prism hits him lightly on the chest “Bitch I didn’t even get to finish my song!” She yells out as Coupé sighs lightly “The sad thing is I wasn’t even cheating.” She says lightly laughing “You are just too good Coupé.” The small Irish man says. As the group yaps Seraphim is on her phone looking up bars close by, she sees one just down the block from them “We could go to Crypto Night, it says it’s pretty close to here.” The feathered hero says as she shows the group, Coupé nods her head “I’m down, Punch?” She says looking down at the short man “Count me in.” He says as Flambae says a quick “Sure. Pris what about you?” The multi coloured haired woman shook her head “Nah I got some mad inspiration from that bar, I’m gonna go to the studio for a bit.” She says typing out lyrics, not even looking away from her phone. The group says their goodbyes to Prism as they head off to the next bar.

As the group walks into the bar the smell of sweet alcohol hits the woman's senses again. She was about to walk over to the bar with Coupé when the feathered heard Flambae yelling “Hey! bitch!” The two women turn to look towards the commotion, she sees Flambae walking over towards…. The guy from the tv? The whole bar gets quiet as Flambae yells towards Mecha Man again “Hey! I was talkin’ to you. Bitch!” He says as he walks closer, the beat up hero goes to turn around “Alright, just so you know, I only turned around because someone yelled not because I’m a bitch.” The older hero says with a deep husky voice. Flambae sneers at the man “Don’t you watch the news? This is a super hero bar.” He says, but the smaller man quips back “Oh wow! Are you a super hero? That’s so cool. Is this your power? You’re like, tell people obvious shit guy?” He says, the feathered hero smirks slightly at the man’s smart mouth comment as Coupé quietly laughs. Flambae glances back at the two women as he looks back to Mecha man “You’re really gonna act like you don’t remember me?” He says as we walk closer to the man, Mecha Man lets out a sigh as he glares at Flambae “wait, it’s coming back to me… Hold on, yeah it’s coming back to me….. Oh, wait, wait, oh I know. You are Doctor Don’t Do Shit. Your deal is you walk up to people, look threatening, talk a big game then don’t do shit about it… also you arent a real doctor cause you’re a fuckin’ idiot.” He says as he turns back towards the bar with his drink. The feathered hero has to turn away for a moment as she laughs as Coupé lets out a laugh and masks it with a cough. Flambae glances back to the two women “You guys good?” He says angrily, Seraphim swats the guy away as she is holding in her laugh as Coupé responds “Sorry. I choked on my spit." She says as the walking fire ball turns back to the mechanical hero, takes off his glasses, and leans down closer to him “No Mecha Bitch. I control the fire-“ Mecha man looks at him unimpressed “The fire?” He questions as Flambae gets closer “AND the flame… and my skin does not burn. I am Flambae, and you-“ he says as he puts his hand next to Mecha man and sets it on fire, before he could finish off his egocentric speech he was cut off again “Wait oh shit I do remember you. You’re that shitty villain I busted up.” He says to Flambae, the groups walks a little closer to the commotion watching like it’s a Friday night special. Flambae puts his hand down and extinguishes the flame as he steps back a bit “Not anymore, Mecha Dick. As I literally just said, I am Flambae. A real super hero, and you are not Mecha Man anymore.” He says lightlying his hand up again. Before he could carry on the mechanical hero turns around and splashes a glass of liquor on him. Flambae turns around screaming, swatting the Flames on his face. Punch up quickly turns and grabs a tray from a waitress to fan the flames, spilling all the drinks in the process. Coupé smirks slightly “No Punch-Up, you are literally fanning the flames.” She says as the feathered hero face palms at the group's antics “Shit. Yeah you’re right. Anybody got a rug?” Punch Up says as Flambae runs out of the bar yelling “You gotta drip and roll lad!” Punch Up follows him out yelling after him. As the two exit Sera and Coupé are left standing near the mechanical hero, he looks at the door as he chews on a piece of ice as he asks “Thought he doesn’t burn.” The tired hero says as he leans against the bar, the feathered hero lets out a little laugh as Coupé says “Some people become scared before they even know they’re hurt. Like babies.” She says as she steals a cherry off a random drink and eats it “Ya plus he’s an idiot.” Sera says as she follows the group out of the bar.

As the two women exit the bar they can see Flambae sitting on the side of the road covering his face, Punch Up is next to him patting him on the shoulder talking to him. The two winged heroes walk up to the pair, Seraphim talks up to the walking far ball and nudges him “What's the damage?” She says as she sits down on the curb beside him, she signs at the feathered hero “I don’t wanna talk about it.” He says in a sassy tone, the feathered hero puts her hands up like she’s surrendering. “Hey I was gonna help you, but if you want the whole team to see at work that’s fine too.” She says as she goes to get up, the flaming hero sighs then uncovers her face to show the feathered hero. She looks at the man’s face, nothing is scorched or burnt… he’s just missing his eyebrows. She feathered hero lets out one small laugh leading to Flambae to turn away from her “Fuck you man.” He says as he covers his face again, Sera apologizes to the flaming hero “I’m sorry I’m sorry my bad… Will you forgive me if I bring you my eyebrow pencil tomorrow?” She says looking at Flambae. The flaming hero begrudgingly let out a harsh sigh as he turned to the women, still covering his face “Yes please…” He says quietly. Punch Up once again pats him on the back “See lad, it’s all fixed.” He says and Flambae mutters something about ‘that Mecha bitch will pay’ as Coupé walks closer to the group “We should all probably get home in case the bar keeps calling the cops.” She says as her eyes glance around. Seraphim nods her head as she gets up and stretches “Ya you’re probably right.” The feathered hero says as she looks at her team as they all seem to let out a tired sigh. Coupé let out a huff that was almost a laugh “30 bucks the Flambae’s banned.”

Sonar X OC

~ The previous night exhausted our feathered hero, luckily her and her new team are going out again soon. Hopefully nothing happens ~

As the girl woke up she had a subtle headache. The hotel room bed was a little uncomfortable but she’s slept worse before. She slowly sits up and stretches and looks at the small clock beside her, it’s read 5:04am. The girl got up and started brushing her teeth as she stared at her messy wings and hair in the mirror, she sighed lightly as she used her fingers to comb through her hair. The winged hero groggily reaches over to start the shower, causing the small bathroom to fill with steam. She quickly grabs her phone and plays some random music as she showers, as the hot water hits her head it slightly soothes the feathered girl's headache. She groans as she leaves the shower, she grabs a towel and starts drying off. The winged hero is quick to get ready, she just dries her hair off and does some light makeup. As the girl exits the bathroom she looks at the chair in the corner of the small hotel, her hero suit laying across the back as her boots lay on the seat. The new winged hero smiles to herself as she walks over and puts on her suit. Sera slides the suit on carefully, making sure not to snag her wings, she then slides on her boots and puts in her ear piece. The winged girl quickly checks herself out in the mirror, As the girl's eyes meet her own in the mirror, she smiles to herself again “It’s time for work” she says to herself. She then quickly turns around and opens the balcony door, she slides herself off the railing and jumps off doing a flip as she opens her wings. Her hotel was on the 84th floor so she decided to glide down until she was flying 40 feet in the air. She loved flying in the early morning, the sun was slowly rising and the normally busy city was quiet. The feathered hero soaks up the morning sun as she flies to SDN until she spots a certain multicoloured woman and a man with a pony tail.

Prism and Flambae were grabbing coffee quickly before they headed to work when Seraphim glided down and landed beside the two hero’s, Prism instantly greets the girl “Hey girl! You headed to work?” Sera nods her head at the two “You know it, how are you guys feeling after last night?” The feathered hero asks, Prism flips her hair dramatically “I chugged some Gatorade and took some meds before I slept so I feel fresh as a daisy! My boy on the other hand…” she says as she looks at Flambae, he is wearing his sunglasses even though it’s not quite sunny out yet. He holds his coffee close to his chest as he takes a sip “No comment…” he says without his typical gusto. Prism turns back towards the feathered hero “Whada bout’ you girl?” The feather hero lets out a quiet groan “Not doing too bad, just a headache.” She says as Flambae rolls his eyes as he mumble “Lucky fucking bitch.” He mumbled glaring at the feathered hero, the two girls laughing as they started walking towards the SDN. As they were walking Prism looked over at the feathered girl “What happened last night with you and Sonar?” As Prism asked the feathered it felt like a rock was in her stomach, she let out a sigh and rolled her eyes “eh I don’t know, he said some shit that pissed me off.” Prism nods her head as Flambae starts to tune into the conversation, he looks at Seraphim “You can’t just say shit like that and not explain, spill.” The walking fire ball says as he tries to interrogate the girl.

As the group walks into the building it’s about 45 minutes before their shift starts, Flambae goes to drop off his bag in the locker room so Sera and Prism go outside to the smoke pit before they meet up with the rest of the team. As the two women exit they can see Visi smoking as Golem stands beside her talking as she smokes while Coupé stands there quietly listening. Prism and Seraphim approach the pair as they start chatting. Visi blows out a big puff of smoke “How you guys feelin?” She says as she points her cigarette at the two women. Prism yawns as Sera responds “I’d say we survived.” She says nudging Prism, Visi nods and goes silent like she’s thinking for a moment. She then squints at the feathered hero, before she could say anything Coupé sighs then says “Fine… don’t bring it up what happened last night with the bat bitch? I thought we were friends.” As she says this Seraphim ruffled her wings slightly, before she could respond Golem cuts in “Ya, I didn’t wanna say anything last night but you seemed down.” He says all three are staring at the feathered hero. Sera looks at all three and lets out a big sigh “Fine, but it doesn’t leave this safety circle. Okay?” Muttered yesses can be heard from the group and they lean on a little closer to the feathered hero. Seraphim pinched the bridge of her nose and grabbed a cigarette from her bag “When I was in university me and him went on a date…. It ended with me finding him fuckinh some random girl high out of his mind.” She says as she lights the cigarette and inhales. After a beat of silence Prism is the first to speak “That bitch!” She says Visi cuts her off “Fuck I knew he was a dick but jeez.” Coupé nods her head “I hope he gave the girl rabies or something.” She says in her monotone voice, Golem just mutters out a ‘Damn’ as he stares at Seraphim. The feathered hero breathes out a puff of smoke as she continues “The sick part is he doesn’t even remember me so it just feels awkward but then he tried some stupid pickup line or something, I don’t need to remember I just left before I punched him.” Seraphim ruffled her wings slightly and ruffled her wings at the thought of last night. This time Visi speaks first “Eh he’s a fuckin idiot.” She says as Prism nods her head. Coupé agrees as she adds on “Ya he’s not the sharpest blade.” Seraphim was going to say something, but was cut off by the loud beeping of her Comms “10 minutes!” a voice on the comment says, Seraphim noticed it was a different voice from yesterday. The feathered hero looks at her teammates and asks “What happened to the dispatcher from yesterday?” As the new hero asks Prism lets out a laugh “Yaaaa this team isn’t too good at keeping dispatchers, last actual dispatcher, we have I think Flambae set his car on fire…” she says as she looks to the side and hits her vape. Sera nods her head as she puts out her cig “I guess we should head back in.” She says to the group as they head inside to start their shift.

The beginning of Seraphim's shift went smoothly, she went on a few missions and all went well. As the feathered hero flies back to SDN she can hear Sonar and Visi talking “Dude I’m only that low on the leader board because you’re cheating” Sonars voice rings through the comms, Visi scoffs “No bitch you are that low on the leader board because Malevola had to stop you from eating that robber you idiot.” Seraphim is a little shocked by the sentence, but let’s have a small laugh that travels through the comms. The feathered hero lands on the top of the building as she listens to the two heroes bicker over the comms. She goes to find the door that leads downstairs so she can wait for her next mission. Before she could open the door, she could hear the sound of large sweeping wings, and then something hitting the ground… more like someone. Seraphim turns around and makes eye contact with Sonar, who has de-transformed from his bat form into his typical form. His suit and dresser are a little torn, showing off his toned abdomen. Before the feathered hero could say anything Sonar beat her to the punch “Hey…” he says as he looks away awkwardly. Seraphim can’t lie, no matter how much hurt she felt because of him she will still find him attractive, she looks away a little bit “Hey…” she says back, it seemed like Sonar was going to say something, but he was cut off by the comms. She could hear their dispatcher of the day asking her and Prism to go check out an abandoned building near the docks, she quickly put her finger to her ear to respond. She awkwardly gave Sonar a small wave goodbye and took off flying away towards the docs to meet Prism.

As Sera flew near the docs, she could see Prism and landed beside her. As the feathered hero lands Prism gives her a look “What is it?” Seraphim questioned. Prism then nudged the girl with her hip and mocked the small sad ‘Hey’ she had given Sonar earlier. Seraphim lightly slapped the girl with her wing to make her be quiet, Prism swats her massive wing away as she mutters “Fine fineeee… but we are talking about this shit later.” She says as they walk towards the abandoned building.

The end of the day couldn’t have come any slower, the only thing that passed quickly was her lunch break. Between the microwave not working and Prism joking with the feathered hero about her old school girl crush on Sonar. She managed to not get dispatched with the bat boy for the day which she considered a win. As her and Punch Up walk back in from their last mission, Coupé and Flambae approach the two as Prism slowly follows, typing on her phone “Finally you two are back, jeez thought I’d die waiting.” Flambae says, the feathered her rolls her eyes at the walking fire balls dramatics. Coupé walks up beside Punch Up and smiles lightly “You ready to head out?” She turns towards the feathered hero “You can come if you want, from what I heard earlier, you need a drink.” The ex assassin says, Prism dramatically gasps “Oh hell yes, come along girl you need a drink.” The multi coloured hair woman says as she puts a hand on Sera’s shoulder. Seraphim thinks about it for a second then nods her head “Alright, sounds like a plan.” The feathered hero says as the group heads out to the bar.

BONUS:

Sonar and Malevola are standing in the offices, everyone had either gone home or was finishing up some paper work. Sonar has been going crazy since he saw the feathered hero fly away from him on the roof earlier in the day “You need to relax man.” Malevola says as she looks over the bat boy's phone, he was rapidly googling the feathered hero’s names trying to find anything about her “I can’t just relax, something is up with this girl.” He says not to take his eyes away from his phone. Malevola sighs, shaking her head at his antics, before she could say anything Sonar stood straight up out of the chair he was sitting, knocking it over. Sonar just stands there staring at his phone like he’s in shock, again before Malevola could say anything Sonar shoved his phone in the tall woman's face. But she takes the phone from his hand and she can see a Facebook account, it clearly hasn’t been touched in years. The name on the account was Serana, but there weren't many posts on the account. There wasn’t much information on the account either, just a birthday and the girls major in school. Malevola was a little confused until she saw a small profile picture of a young blonde girl with wings. It was Seraphim’s old account from when she was in school “Malevola I’m so stupid.” The bat boy says as his hand covers his face. Malevola, still confused, passes the phone back to him “What's the deal man? You are freaking me out a little.” She says as she looks at Sonar, he let out a sigh and looks at the tall demon women “We went on a date back in school and….. let’s just say I fucked up bad.” He says as he covers his face with his hands “I tried hitting on her at the bar like I didn’t even know her.” He walks over to the small couch in the break room and flops down on it, muffled by the couch cushions now, he says “She must think I’m a complete dick.” Malevola pops down on the couch next to him, slightly entertained by his stupidity “Come on man, I’m sure if you explain to her she’ll understand. Especially if your date went well I’m sure she wouldn’t mind.” As the tall woman says that Sonar grabs a pillow and covers his face, now remembering how their date ended…

Sonar X OC

~After the new heroes first day of work, she goes out with drinks with her new team…. No one knows why she stormed out of the bar though~

Seraphim’s first work day went well, aside from being paired with Sonar… during their mission at the refinery things got a little out of hand. The villain was some normie guy in a jet pack with some sort of gun. Sonar had transformed into his bat form and was flying around, trying to grab the guy out of the sky as Seraphim was getting workers and civilians out of the area. Everything was going well until Sonar was grazed by a bullet on his wing, he dropped a couple of feet trying to rapidly flapping his wings to keep him in the air, so he didn't plummet to the ground. Just then the jet pack guy shoots at Sonar causing him to dip out of the way smacking his head, causing him to start falling. He was out cold and he was slowly turning back to his typical state. He was about maybe 100 feet from the ground, Seraphim knew she couldn’t hold his whole weight in bat form, so she did a risky move. The winged hero takes off flying towards the jet pack idiot, a transparent ring shoots out from her hand and it wraps around the guy so he can’t shoot anything. Once she knows he’s subdued she closes her wings and plummets after Sonar's unconscious body. The pair were maybe 40 feet from falling to his death when the feather hero grabs him, as the girl's arms wrap around Sonar's torso she lets out a breath she didn’t know she was holding in. After bringing the perp into custody she had to fly Sonar all the way back to SDN and she left before he could even wake up. What an amazing way to end off a mission. Once she handed him off to Malevola she wanted to go for a smoke but she was called for another mission.

~Seraphim meets her new team and isn’t to happy when she finds she’s paired with a certain bat boy~

The winged hero is frozen as she locks eyes with the bat boys, she thought that night would be the last time she’d ever see him…. It’s not like they even dated but for some reason it hurt so bad when it happened. As the bat boy walked in he waved to Malevola and sat in the empty chair next to her. Blazer gives him a harsh look “Sonar, you are late. This is your new team member, Seraphim” Blazer says, gesturing towards the winged girl. Seraphim gives a small wave, the bat bot nods his head “Sup” he says as he turns to Malevola to whisper something. Seraphim knew that Malevola and Sonar were friends, she had mentioned him before, she had just never put two and two together that Sonar was Victor. She knows it all happened a long time ago but she couldn’t tell if he was acting like he didn’t remember her or if he actually didn’t remember her. He had grown a little bit in height, his ears also growing a bit. Before he had worn basic dress clothes but now he is wearing a full suit. She pushes these thoughts out of her head when Blazer gets another ping on her phone, she goes to check it then looks back at the group of misfits “Alright team! I have to go so I’ll dismiss you to enjoy the rest of your break, I’ll see you all later.” The tall blonde says as she turns around and leaves the room. Some of the Z-Team leave but a few stay behind just chatting. Just as Seraphim was contemplating if she was gonna leave the room or try and mingle with her new team, when she hears someone say her name “Yo Sera! What’s up girl? Glad you’re the one that fell the empty spot, I’m just happy it isn’t some random buzz kill” Prism says as she walks over to the winged hero, Sera turns around to greet Prism “Well I’m glad I can not be a buzz girl.” The winged hero jokes with the multi-haired women. Just as Prism was going to complement the winged hero on her suit they are interrupted when the ponytail guy from earlier walks up to the pair “Listen I’m hungry so I’m either leaving without you or we are both leaving” he says to Prism with a thick accent, his eyes the travel over to Sera “No offence bird girl” he says to the winged hero. Sera raises an eyebrow and was about to fight back when Prism cut her off “Flambaé don’t be such a bitch, she’s chill” she says as she hits Flambaé on his chest lightly.

It’s when Prism says his name that the winged hero can finally remember where she recognizes the tall ponytail man from. It happened during her time as a villain, maybe a few weeks before she was arrested. She was just meant to deliver a simple package to a client when a walking fire ball got in her way. They were almost evenly matched in the fight but when Flambaé shot flames at the girls wings she ended plummeting out of the sky on the nearby root of a building. She managed to get away on foot but she wasn’t able to fly for at least two weeks after. When it happened, of course she was mad. If she saw the guy she probably would’ve knocked his teeth out, but she’s a hero now.

The winged hero raises her hand up to the man “Hey man” Flambaé begrudgingly takes Sera’s hand and shakes it as he slightly rolled his eyes “Hey” he says as he, his hand turns his head towards Prism “I’m going now, bye” Flambae says as he leaves the two women. Prism puts her arm on Sera’s shoulder "Don't worry about him, he is always a walking fire ball even when he’s not.” She says assuring the winged hero it was nothing personal. Just as Sera was going to say something she got cut off by Malevola and Vict- Sonar walking past her out the doors. Mal stops before she leaves to congratulate Seraphim for joining the Z-Team and something about drinks later, but the girl is too busy staring at Sonar to fully listen “ I’ll see ya after work girl.” Malevola says as she lightly punches Seraphim’s shoulder as she follows after Sona. As the feathered hero gets quiet Prism waves her hand in front of the girl's face “Yo girl, you okay you look sick.” Seraphim snaps out of her haze and shakes her head “Ya ya I’m fine just a bit overwhelmed, do they have a smoke area around here?” The multi-colour haired woman nods her head and motions for the winged hero to follow her.

~Seraphim meets some new friends… and some old ones…~

The winged girl is caught off guard as she gets knocked to the floor. She is slightly startled but she gets up and fluffs her wings. Seraphim goes to look up at who she ran into. It was a tall woman with red skin and bright yellow eyes. She had large demon horns and a large sword on her back. “Ah I’m so sorry, I should’ve been watching where I was goin’ “ The larger demon woman says with a thick Australian accent “No no it’s okay! No one got hurt.” Seraphim says looking up at the tall women, just then the winged girl looks down at the floor where her take out box laid, half opened and spilled on the floor “Ah shit” she says as she looks around for something to clean it up with. The demon lady looks around and flags down a janitor that was passing by, as the janitor comes over to clean up the mess. Just as Seraphim apologizes and thanks the janitor, she was about to thank the tall demon lady but she cut off “I haven’t seen you around here before. Are you new here?” she asks the winged girl. Seraphim nodded her head “Yes today’s technically my first day, I’m Seraphim by the way” she says as the two shake hands “My name's Malevola… sorry about your lunch” the tall women says, Seraphim waves her hands “Ah no it’s alright, i didn’t have a fork to eat it anyways” she dryly jokes. “If you’re hungry I could share some of my lunch. I usually bring some for one of my friends but he can suck it up for today. Consider it an apology.” Malevola says, Seraphim thinks about it for a minute “Ah sure why not, I’m starving and I haven’t had real food in awhile.” Malevola smiles at the winged girls then turns to walk down the hallway as Seraphim follows closely behind. There is a beat of silence as the demon woman jokes “So what do you mean by real food? Last time I heard that was when my buddy was getting out of prison, but you seem a little too friendly to be fresh outta prison.” The winged slowly nods her head and laughs a little "You're actually right on the money” Seraphim said, Malevola's eyes widen a bit “Ah shit really? My bad man sorry if it’s a sensitive topic” she says to the winged woman. Seraphim shakes her head and says “No it is all good, luckily I wasn’t there for long until Blazer got me.” Malevola nods her head as the two walk “Ahhh I see you are a new hero here, you know your team yet?” Seraphim shakes her head and goes to fix a strand of her “No not yet, waiting on my suit then Blazers meant to take me to meet em’ Makes me feel like it’s the first day of school” She jokes as the demon woman lets out a laugh. Malevola pats Seraphim on the back “Eh you seem strong, you'll be fine.”

The pair round the corner to enter the break room, as they walk in they winged girl hears someone say “Damn what is this, a demon and an Angel damn.” The winged girl looks up to look at a woman with pink and blue hair and shades on. Malevola chimes in “I know right, I accidentally made her drop her lunch so I’m offering Sonar's portion since he’s in one of his moods today.” Malevola jokes as she walks over to the fridge and starts rummaging around. Seraphim feels sort of bad for ‘stealing someone’s lunch’ but she’s starving, she subconsciously fluffs her wings then looks at the multi-coloured hair woman “My name's Seraphim.” The multi haired woman turns towards her “Names Prism, the one and only” she was as she dramatically puts out her hands as she's finishing a performance. Malevola walks over to the pair and sits down at the table where Prism is, she sets the container down on the table as Seraphim sits at the last empty chair at the table. The three women make small talk as Malevola shares her lunch with Seraphim. It was nice, it was the first little bit of normalcy. “So how’d you end up her Sera? Oh is it ok if I call you that?” Prism says as she takes a sip of her coffee, Seraphim nods her head “Yes it’s alright, and I ended up here because Blazer decided to bust me out.” The winged girl says as she bites into half of a wrap Malevola gave to her “Ah nice, Blazer got me out about a month ago. Home girl saved my career, can’t make music in j ail.” Prism says as she swirls for coffee around. The small group starts chatting and making small talk, Malevola and Prism mention some names that Seraphim doesn’t recognize but too, so she’ll know them soon. As the three keep talking Blazer walks into the break room, her eyes scan the room and stop as her eyes land on Sera, “Oh perfect I was looking for you. Your suit is supposed to be ready.” The winged girl nods and gets up, before she leaves she thanks Malevola again and then says goodbye as she follows Blazer back down to the lab.

As the two walk down Blazer starts to speak “Sorry about earlier, there was an emergency down at the docks I had to deal with.” The winged girl shook her hands and turned towards Blazer “No it’s all good, I’m sure I’ll be in similar situations soon.” As the pair enter the lab, they can’t see Royd but the banging and loud swears signal that he’s in there. Once the two walk farther into the lab Seraphim looks towards the machine to see her new suit and it looks amazing. It looks like it was two pieces but the fabric wraps around the mannequin gracefully as it shows off the tummy. It also has an open back so it’s easier for her to put her wings on. It's mostly white now, the suits' accent colours are this yellowy gold colour with more pinky peach tones added, she can even see a pair of high heel boots that match.The girl walked up to the machine in awe, Royd walks out of a back area of his lab wiping his hands off “Suppa cool suit, you got good taste.” Royd says pressing some buttons on the machine and takes the suit out and hands it to the winged girl. Sera looks down at the suit and smiles, it finally feels real “Thank you so Royd, this is amazing” Royd smiles at the girl “Aye it’s no problem, it’s what I do best” the man says as he hands the boots to the winged girl. “So you think you are ready to become a hero?” Blazer asked Seraphim, the winged girl looked at the tall blonde hero and nodded her head “Hell yes!” Sera exclaims, Blazer and Royd smile at the new hero who looks like a 6 year old who got their cool Halloween costume. “I’ll show you where the changing rooms are so you can change, then I’ll alert your team to meet in the board room in 20 minutes.” Blazer says pointing to her phone, Sera nods and turns to thank Royd once again then she follows Blazer to the change rooms.

~Seraphim’s learning about SDN and how much her life is really about to change~

Hey everyone! Shortish chapter today but I hope you still enjoy:)

I’m still going ahead with posting the longer more detailed version of the story on AO3, I’ll make a post when my accounts up and running on there and a link to each chapter so there’s a little confusion

The ride to the SDN office building was short, maybe 15 minutes at most. Since BlondeBlazer and Seraphim could both just fly to the building it took them maybe half the time. The pair land in the middle of the parking lot, as Seraphim lands she flexes her wings slightly, being trapped in a cement block for a few weeks without flying is a little hard on the wings. The two make the way into the building, Blazer being greeted by dozens of people who walk past. While walking to the office Blazer gives Seraphim a quick tour of the offices. Pointing out things to the girl so she’ll know where everything is.

Blazer leads Seraphim into her office, and the pair sit down “Now that you have pretty much seen everything at SDN, we can get into about what we expect from you when you are working” Blazer says as she hands a paper to the girl, Seraphim nods and takes the paper “You’ll be given a schedule soon that covers the month but your shifts may change depending on your team and dispatcher. Typically you work 5 days a week for around 8 hours, your team will have the same shifts as you so you can build skills with your team. Right now the team you are assigned to doesn't have a regular dispatcher, so you may have some different dispatchers throughout the week.” Seraphim sits there trying to take in all the information that’s being thrown at her. Blazer quickly opens one of the drawers of her desk and pull out a key “This is the key to the hotel SDN is providing for you, you have it for about two weeks but if you need we can get you something for a longer period” Seraphim takes the key, thanking Blazer “Soon we will head down to the suit lab, we know you had your villain suit but when any of our villains join SDN we do want them to be re-branded a little bit for the public, your suit will be done pretty quick so after when it’s done, you can meet the rest of your team.” Seraphim nods her head, already thinking about what she could change about her suit. She didn’t mind her suit's design, but she also wouldn’t mind changing the old design. The only thing she isn’t sure of is meeting the rest of her ‘team’ but she tries to make the best of it. “Do you have any questions? I know the whole corporate spiel can be a lot.” The blonde hero says sheepishly with a smile “Nope, it seems pretty straightforward” Blazer stands up and heads towards the door “You ready to design your hero suit?” blazer asks, Seraphim almost jumps up “Oh you have no idea” the pair laugh a bit as they head towards the lab.

The two women make their way through the buildings down to the Lab, walking through the hallways making small talk until the two get to the lab. It wasn’t too long of a walk until the pair made their way to a large door. Blazer was about to knock on it until there was a large explosion sound that came from behind the door, quickly Blazer opened the door for only a flood of smoke came pooling out hitting the two women in the face, the winged girl flapped her wings a little to fan the smoke away. Blazer and Seraphim start coughing from the smoke as a large man came running out of the room to grab a fire extinguisher that was a few feet away from the door. “Royd! Are you okay? What happened?” Blazer says to the large man, Seraphim now known as Royd, runs back into the room to put out a small fire on his large metal workbench. As Royd extinguishes the fire he looks back at the tall blonde hair sheepishly. “Ah, Hello Blazer, I was just aaa….testin something” the large man with his thick accent “Ah, hello missy, what's ya name?” Royd says to Seraphim as he sets the fire extinguisher down. “My name's Seraphim, it’s nice to meet you.” The girl smiles and holds out her hand, “Names Royd” he says as he shakes the winged girl's hand. “As much as I enjoy our chats Royd we are here on business” Blazer says as she smiles at him, “Ah yes, of course. What can I help you with?” Royd says as he puts a hand on his hip. Blazer sets her hand on Seraphim’s shoulder “We are here to get a suit made for her” Blazer says smiling. Royd nods his head “Ah of course! The machine has just been upgraded” the man says as he walks over to a large machine in the corner of the room, “Machine?” Seraphim questioned. Blazer nodded her head following Royd “Yes! SDN has some of the newest tech for helping heroes. This machine helps design the suit and then if you’d like Royd could build up some gadgets depending on what you’d need.” Blazer says as she points to the machine. Royd starts to speak “You put in a design on the screen then step inside the machine and it measures you then builds the perfect suit. Super cool stuff” Royd says, almost gloating about the cool machine. Seraphim walks up to the machine, “So I just push some buttons and draw on this little screen… then I get inside?” She looks at the pair as they nod “Okay, how do I get started?” Seraphim questions. Blazer goes over to the larger screen on the machine and taps a few buttons, “Alright it should be good to go” Blazer says to the winged girl. When the girl looked at the screen she was met with a 3-D photo of her old villain costume. She’s slightly cringed at the old design, she doesn’t change too much of it. She just makes it less flashy and makes the colours a bit brighter. When she was done, she hit the big green button, and the machine made a little jingle sound, and the big door on the front of the machine opened. A robotic voice came from the machine telling her to step inside, the girl hesitantly stepped inside, ducking into the small door with her big wings. When the girl fully inside the door slowly closes, the robotic voice tells her to hold out her arms and stay still as it scans for her measurements. The machine makes a few beeping noises then makes another jingle to signify that it’s done and the door pops open again. Seraphim stepped out of the machine and turned towards Blazer “Perfect! That should take about an hour or so right Royd? the blonde questions the large man, “Yup! Come back done in an hour or so and it should be done” Royd says to the two women. “Perfect! Thank you so much Royd” Blazer says to the large man “Yes thank you so much” Seraphim says. Blazer looks up at the clock on the wall then turns back to Seraphim “It is about lunch so we can grab some food” Blazer says, Seraphim nods her head, knowing for the last few weeks she has been eating prison food she follows the tall blonde out of the room waving at Royd.

The two women went out to grab some food at a food truck around the block, they were about to sit down at the bench outside the building to eat when Blazers phone started going off. When she picked up her phone Seraphim could see the blonde's face scrunch up, as if she was hearing bad news. When the call ends Blazer turns towards the winged girl “I am so sorry but I have to deal with something urgent…” Seraphim nods her head “No no it’s all okay, us hero’s are busy” The winged girl joke, Blazer nodded appreciatively and took off, leaving Seraphim alone. The girl sat there alone on the bench, feeling like a kid on her first day of school. She went to open the small takeout box when she realized there was no fork, the girl mentally cursed not wanting to go all the way back to the food truck. Until she remembered the break room Blazer had pointed out earlier, there must be utensils in there. The girl stood up from the bench and headed back inside up to the break room.

Seraphim walked into the massive building, other than all the superheroes walking in and out of the building it looks like a regular office. As the girl was walking to the break room, she kind of zoned out. Looking at everything around the office. She couldn’t quite remember how to get to the break room, but she could find her way eventually. The girl got lost in thought, thinking about how different her life will be now. She goes to turn the corner but then it feels like she ran into a brick wall. She ran into something, more like someone.

Years have passed, Serena has moved onto bigger and greater things…….like she promised, right? Like every Harvard grad…

“THIS IS BULLSHIT!!” Serena yells out as one of the prison guards throws her into a cell, once Serena got her footing she ran up and kicked at the door, “Ooohhh who knew angels were so feisty?” One of the guards taunted, he looked pretty scruffy. While the other guard looked almost ancient, he gave a stern look to the younger guard so he’d straighten up, then he looked back at Serena. “You know exactly why you are in here Seraphim, it isn’t ‘Bullshit’” another guard said, “Now quiet down or ill send the warden down to deal with you” the old guard said as the two turned and walked away. Seraphim was mentally swearing at herself for the situation she’s in right now, thinking about how everything with the deal went wrong. Someone even burnt some of her feathers off her wings so she couldn’t escape! All of it IS bullshit. She was gonna yell out again when the lights in her cell were shut off, it was pitch black except for the dim hallway lights. Seraphim gave up and flopped down on the old broken down cot in the corner and just stared at the ceiling. Just trying to forget about everything and lull her mind to sleep.

The sleep didn’t last long though, as she was awoken by loud rapid banging on the loud metal cell door. As she goes to sit up, back still stiff from the clunky mattress. The tiny slot in the door flew open, before she could ask what was going on, a man started to speak in a deep raspy voice, “You have an opportunity here to get out of this cell and turn your life around. Be ready in an hour” Seraphim “Well, I guess I’ll wait here” Seraphim seemingly says to herself, as she reads through the paper. Maybe she won't be stuck here.

Turn off after an hour past there was more banging on the large side door, Seraphim was just getting up when it opened. A pair of guards from earlier walked into the cell with some sort of handcuffs “It may be you’re lucky day today” an older guard says, the other one holds out the handcuffs, they almost look like they’re high tech “Just gotta pop the cuff on just to make sure you don’t hurt anyone” the younger guard said in a sly tone. Seraphim begrudgingly holds out her wrists as she gets the cuffs put on her, she is then led out of the cell and down a hallway. It felt like she was walking forever in prison but soon they came to a row of elevators, one of the guards pushed his key card against the scanner, and the elevator chimed signalling it was coming down. Once the elevator had come down and the doors had swung open, Seraphim was led into the elevator by the two guards and then the door closed behind them.

The elevator ride wasn’t that long, soon the elevator chimed again signalling that it reached its destination, and the door opened. Again, Seraphim is led down a long hallway with many random doors, but one of the two guards that is leading her stops to open one of the doors and leads her into the room.

As Seraphim entered the room she noticed it looks surprisingly comfortable for a prison, she only stops ogling at the room when a voice interrupts her thoughts. “Hello Seraphim! I am-“ Seraphim jumps back at the sudden voice, she quickly turns to her left to see who the voice belongs to “-BlondeBlazer. I’m so sorry I didn’t mean to startle you” Seraphim tried to play it off, “Oh no no not at all, I am fine. Thank you for asking though” Seraphim gave BlondeBlazer a polite smile “It is nice to meet you Miss Blazer” Blazer gives a small smile back “It is nice to meet you as well Seraphim, we might as well not delay the meeting, I am sure you’re curious about what’s going on.” Blazer says as she sits down on a couch and motions for Seraphim to sit down on the couch across from her. As Seraphim sits down Blazer sets down a piece of paper in front of Seraphim then motions for the two guards to leave. “I will admit I am a little curious,” Seraphim says, skimming over the piece of paper "What's going on?” Blonde Blazer gestured to the paper as she started to explain, “I work at The Superhero Dispatch Network, and I think we may have an opportunity for you in our new program. We have taken a look at your records and what abilities you have and you seem like a good fit, and I’ve seen him in action through some camera footage.” Seraphim nods her head, listening to the tall blonde “It is called the Phoenix program, in which you would be paired on a team with other reformed villains to help fight crime. SDN would get you out of here but only on the conditions that you would promise to turn your life around for good and work as a hero at SDN.” Seraphim’s eyes grew wide, her wings fluttering slightly in shock “SDN would make you a hero suit to help accommodate your powers and SDN would also supply housing for you until you got back up on your feet and found your own place.” Blazer continued talking to the girl who was almost too shocked to speak, “I’ll give you this contract to read through, you have a few days to sign it so if you’re a little hesitant and don’t wanna rush in that’s completely fine” But just a blazer was about to continue Seraphim cut her off “Do you have a pen?” The pair froze. Seraphim for interrupting a famous superhero and Blazer for being a little shocked. Blazer began to speak again “Really? Most villains are usually a little reluctant to enter the program even if it means they’re freedom.” The tall blonde questioned the winged women. Seraphim sighed then began to speak “When I became a villain I never really wanted to be one. It felt more like I had to. Now I’m given an opportunity to turn my life around. Plus I get to be free and not stuck in a concrete box” the girl tries to lighten up by joking, Blazer smiles at Seraphim and hands the girl the pen. Seraphim clicked the pen and signed her name in a few places on the contract. Once she was done, took the contract and looked at it and then tucked it in a little folder under her arm. “It may take me a few hours for me to get things ready for you” Blazer apologized to the girl as her wings drooped slightly, ‘at least it would be her last time in that cell’ Seraphim thought to herself. “No it is understandable, especially if what you said with villains, not signing instantly being regular” Seraphim joked. Blazer nodded and smiled at Seraphim as she got up to knock on the door to get the guard's attention, She then turned around to Seraphim and held out her hand again. Seraphim awkwardly raises her right arm to shake Blazer's hand trying to not let the cuffs get in the way. “Welcome to SDN, it was nice to meet you. I will be back in a few hours and then I’ll help you get settled” Blazer said, she then turns around to walk out of the room.

True to her word Blazer was maybe 3 hours tops, Seraphim was laying on the old bed staring at the ceiling when she heard a few loud bangs on the metal cell door. The girl got up, stretching her arms over her head and flexing her wings. When the door swung open the girl saw the two guards from before, the scruffy one walking in first holding out the handcuffs “You know the drill” Seraphim rolled her eyes and held her wrists, so the cuffs could be placed on her. Seraphim rolled her eyes again and let out a sigh knowing it would be the last time she would have to deal with these two. As the two guards stopped joking they began to lead Seraphim down all the twisty hallways of the prison back to the room where she was a few hours ago.

As she entered the room with the two guards standing behind her, she saw Blazer talking to someone while signing a piece of paper with a box by her feet. As Seraphim enters farther into the room she gets noticed by the tall blonde, Blazer finishes up her conversation with whoever she’s talking to and makes her way over to Seraphim. Blazer motions for the guards to take off the winged girl's handcuffs, when she does one of the guards reaches into the mini pockets on his suit to pull out a key. Seraphim raises her arm slightly as the guard sticks the key inside the handcuffs. When the cuffs pop off Seraphim rubs her wrists slightly then flexes them, happy to be free of the clunky metal cuffs. Once the cuffs are off, Blazer thanks the guards and they leave the room. “See I told you I would only be a few hours” Blazer said as she smiled and Seraphim smiled back. Blazer bends down to pick up the box of stuff with ease and hands it to the girl “This should be all your stuff from before you were imprisoned” when Blazer handed the box to the winged girl she slightly stumbled at the weight of the box. “I don’t know if I should be impressed by how easily you picked up this box or concerned” Seraphim jokes as she sets the box down. Blazer laughed a little bit and started to speak “I’ll let you get changed in the bathroom over there, there is also a shower in there so if you want to, you can take a shower, and make sure grab all your belongings so you don’t forget anything” she says as she points to the left towards the small bathroom door. Seraphim thanked the tall blonde and started going through the box of her belongings. She stood up and took all her belongings out of the box and piled them in a neat little pile so she could carry everything to the washroom.

She carefully carried everything over to the washroom and opened the door. When she was inside, she locked the door and set her purse in the sink. Look at Herself in the mirror, her hair looked like it hadn’t been brushed in months and her make up from probably two days ago is still smudged all over her face. The girl sighs that she turns towards the shower to turn it on, she quickly stripped out of her prison uniform, and jumps in the hot steaming water. Seraphim stood there under the hot water for a minute, letting the water hit her face and run through her hair and down her wings, even before she wasn't in prison her place never had hot water so this was a luxury for her. Once the girl dries off, she starts rummaging through her purse for a brush and make up. Once she brushed through her hair, she put on some light makeup that was in her bag and she got changed into her clothes.

In 20 minutes the girl left the bathroom already feeling like a new person. “Wow, that was fast! Are you all ready to go?” Blazer asked the winged girl “Yes, very much so. I know I haven’t been here long but I’m ready to be a free woman. Blazer lightly laughed then turned to the door “Alright, let’s head to SDN” Seraphim leaves with Blazer and doesn’t even look back for a second.

Hello lovelysssss! I had some issues posting this chapter because it was so long so what I will do from this point on is I will post the dumbed down simple one here, then post the longer more detailed version on AO3 once my account is up and running:)

Almost as soon as she was done texting with Victor she started planning her outfit so it would be perfect for tomorrow night, making sure even her makeup matched. The day of classes had passed quickly, and soon she spent hours getting ready. It was well worth it because when she opened the door for Victor it looked like he short circuited. He held a small bouquet of flowers that matched his red tie. “H….hey….” He said, handing the bouquet over to Serena.

Soon Serena and Victor are walking up the steps to the massive house party. Victor offers his arm for Serena to hold onto claiming it is the gentlemanly thing to do, neither of them would complain about it. When they get to the door Victor knocks on it and soon it gets opened by some random drunk frat guy, Serena looks past the drunken frat boy to peer inside the house, the door looking like a portal in some sort of dubstep drug induced strobe light hell. Serena grabs onto Victor a bit tighter subconsciously and follows him into the house, Victor looks down at the girl to say something but the music is so loud Serena couldn’t hear. The pair scooted into the kitchen where the music is a bit quieter, Victor grabs two red solo cups and fills it with some fruity looking drinks. “Here try this” Victor partly yells so the girl could hear him over the obnoxiously loud music. “Oh thank youuuu” Serena takes the cup from his hands and tries a sip “Ooooo this is good” she takes another sip as the two sit in the comfortable silence sipping on the drinks.

“So where are your friends?” Serena asks looking around, Victor tenses a little and gulps down some of his drink. “Thatttt one of the reasons I wanted to bring a date, so I would have someone to talk with. Everyone here is either a loser or looking for some sort of hookup” Serena nods her head in acknowledge “Well I’m glad I’m not a loser or just a hookup to you” The girl half jokes and nudges the wide eyed boy, they both laugh as the alcohol slowly works its way into their systems.

Soon the two are off dancing in a sea of drunk university students, Serena can feel Victor's hands and body brush against hers as the two dance. The strobe lights make the room feel so warm but the looks Victors gives to Serena are even warmer. Victor's movements come to a stop as his eyes light up, like they are trying to say something. Serena leans in closer as if reading his mind, Victor sets one of his hands on hers as he finally closes the distance and kisses the girl. As their lips meet it feels like Serena is floating, her wings flutter slightly as Victors deepens the kiss. The kiss was hot and steamy, enough to make her feel like she was on fire. Soon the two separate, breathless. Their eyes lock, and as if Victor is trying to talk with his eyes again he grabs onto the girl's hand and starts to walk away from the dance floor. Serena doesn’t know where she’s been pulled to but she isn’t complaining. Soon the pair duck into a room, it’s dark and she can feel Victor's lips on hers as her back is pushed into a wall, she can feel the boy being careful not to crush her wings. It feels like a dream, her hands running up his chest to rest on his shoulders. She feels Victor's hands on her hips and she can feel them travel to her ass. A small whine leaves Victor's lips as he presses into the girl more. It truly felt like a dream. That is until the world seemed to become bright again as someone had turned on the light in the room “Ugh get a room you freaks, get out of my room!”

As soon as the two were kicked out of the room there was an awkward air between the two. “Tha…. That was really fun” Serena turns to Victor as she stutters, Victor slicks down his fur “Y ya it r r really was” Victor says then curses under his breath. The girl's eyes travel over to a door that was slightly open towards the back of the house, the pungent stench of weed coming from the outside. The girl smiles and takes Victor's hand so he’d follow her towards the back door.

When the two walk through the door they already see a few people sitting on some deck chairs passing around a joint. The girl shyly waves and asks the group if she and the nervous bat boy could join in, one of the girls with bright red hair stands up and passes the half smoked joint to her. “Here, I was just about to leave and these two don’t smoke” she gestures to the two people behind her “Enjoy” the red haired girl says as her two friends follow her, leaving Serena and Victor alone on the deck with a joint. Serena plunks down in one of the beat up lawn chair on the deck, it’s a bit chilly so a chill runs down her spine as she takes the first puff of the joint then goes to hand it to the bat boy, who is now sitting beside her in a recliner that looks like it’s going to fall apart. He takes it and swiftly takes a deep drag then exhales the smoke towards the girl. Serena smiles quietly and giggles “heyyyyy I can’t breathhhh” Serena jokes as she takes the joint from the bat boy and she takes another hit. Serena feels like she’s floating as the weed and alcohol mix. She glances over to Victor and she notices he is still a little nervous. Serena goes to put her hand on top of the hand that was resting on the bat boy's twitching knee and as he glances towards her, she shuffles a little closer and whispers, “I’m glad I came with you, it was fun” she smiles as she kisses his cheek. They both smile at each other and Victor takes another puff “I’m glad you came too” He smiles at Serena as he passes over the last bit of the joint to her. She finishes off and drops it in the ash tray, then she turns to Victor. “Ready to go inside?” Serena says pointing towards the door, Victor nods and stands up to follow the girl inside.

As soon as Victor is inside his eyes start to dart around now like he is looking for something. Serena tries to follow his eyes but can’t quite follow, “What are you looking for?” Serena says as she cocks her head to the side. It takes a minute for the boy to respond but when he does, eyes widen as large as a dinner plate “DRINKS I I I’m looking for some drinks…. Do you mind going to grab some drinks for us?” He asks as he smiles at the girl, but there is something off about the way he said it. Regardless she smiles back and walks towards the kitchen to find some more booze. The girl grabs two red solo cups and fills them up with the same mysterious fruity drink, but as she turns around she can see Victor head into the bathroom with…. Someone girl? ‘Weird’ Serena thought to herself. She stands in the kitchen for a bit contemplating if she should go knock on the door or not, she decides she will walk towards the doors anyways. As she walks up to the door she can hear shuffling around in the bathroom but she tries to push it out of her mind as she leans on the wall opposite to the bathroom door. Along with the shuffling sounds coming from the bathroom there is also this wet sound… almost like lips smacking against each other. Serena felt her heart drop, but still being curious, she decided to put her ear to the door and as soon as she did she almost wished she didn’t. She can still hear lips smacking against lips, but she can hear someone muttering swears under their breath. It's when she heard the distinct sound of a belt buckle being undone. The girl dropped one of the drinks as her hand flew to the door knob, the door swung open to reveal the same girl with bright red hair who gave her the joint sitting on the counter. Her bright red hair now a mess. Her face was covered in a white substance and her shirt was half off revealing a hot pink bra while her shorts were half way off, and standing between her legs… was Victor, his face was also covered in this white substance. His tie now off laying on the floor as his coat was unbuttoned and half way off while his dress shirt all wrinkled and a bit torn up. Serena had about 18 different emotions flooding her mind all in one second, she felt like she was going to throw up, or pass out. Serena just stares at the dishevelled pair as she backs up and slams the door.

Serena had never felt like such a loser before, she never felt so vulnerable. She was just trying to find the front door in her intoxicated state, but she didn’t get too far until she heard someone call her name. It was Victor, running behind her trying to buckle his belt. Serena looks around for the front door, trying to stay out of the bat boy's line of sight, once she sees the large door slightly ajar she makes a break for it. Once Serena makes it outside the cold air is almost like a slap in the face, she never realized how warm she had gotten in all the commotion but she doesn’t stop running. Not more than two seconds after the door closes behind her, Victor burst through the doors, his fur still all disheveled. “Serena please!” He called out to her as she kept running, but now that there are no obstacles Victor caught up to her pretty quick. Victor grabs Serena’s arm making the two both come to a stop. “Please, Serena let me explain what happened!” Victor pleaded “Please just I’m sorry let me expla-“ Victor was cut off by Serena yanking her arm away from Victor's grasp rather aggressively, “No Victor! I will not let you explain! I know what I saw, I’m not dumb Victor” Serena yells at Victor, she turns away to storm off but once again Victor stops her “I am sorry Serena…. I truly am” Serena glares at Victor that shoots a chill down his spine “Bull shit Victor! I caught you fucking another girl because you couldn’t fuck me! You lost the opportunity and jumped at the next girl who was offering a little more! I guess you couldn’t resist the temptations of having more and more!" Victor looks a little hurt but Serena keeps going on “and the drugs! I’m not even against it all but for you to fall for the first bimbo who was offering drugs is so low!” She turns to look at Victor, face now filled with sadness and a bit of hurt “I’d say you really made yourself look like a loser….. but now I just feel like the loser” Victor's ears lower like a sad puppy, Serena flexes her wings out and turns to Victor “Goodbye Victor” and in one last attempt Victor goes to reach out to the girl one last time, but he was too slow. The girl's wings flexed and in one swoop her wings had carried her up away into the dark night sky. Victor now stands there, watching the girl he thought was an angel fly away forever……….

I really tried to make sonar/Victor kinda awkward around Serena, but kind of a dick to anyone else, but I don’t think it shows to well… oh well

!!!DESCRIPTIONS!!!

Not much changes appearance after the time skip for Serena she just aged up a little bit. She is around 5’5 and she has kinda greyish blue eyes. Her wings got a bit bigger and the tips of them now have a more prominent pinky peach colour, she also has these big feathered ears that are white with the same colour on the tips. She’s got blondish orangey hair, but the tips of the hair are a pinky colour that she dyes herself so it’ll match her wings and ears.

in the first two chapters Serena will be around 19 and so will Sonar, once the time happens they’ll both be around 25. I’m not too sure if this is accurate to the game, but I’m just tweaking it for the sake of the story. Also if anyone’s asking yes I made her also go to Harvard because I can;p

Chapter 1. The cute bat boy

Serena always loved this time of night, it was like the darkness poured into each crack of the library. She was sitting at one of those uncomfortable tables and chairs in libraries. She has many books in front of her. If anyone sneezed she would be buried in her body weight in books. In front of the girl there were a bunch of notes scrolled out on pieces of lined paper and some that looked like they were written with ink. Serena stretches out her wings then sets down her book to adjust her glasses, she glances across the room to read the clock, 11:27pm. At this time mostly everyone in the library has gone home so she gets it all to herself. She didn’t have to worry about anyone talking to her. Just her and her book… That was until she heard the loud bang of the large library doors being swung open. She glanced up to see what all the noise was about, but her attention was drawn to ‘ a… bat… boy?’ Serena went to look back down at her book when she could no longer see the ‘bat boy’ as he had disappeared into the tall aisle of books. Serena soon forgets about the bat boy and gets lost in her book again.

She couldn’t remember how much time had passed when she felt a tap on your shoulder, the girl startled a bit “Sooooo, I know you have wings but I didn’t know you were a night owl” a voice jokes, she turns to her left to see the bat boy standing maybe 3 feet away from her. “I… I’m sorry, what were you saying? I was lost in my book.” Serena sheepishly says as she grins. The bat boy lets out a soft huff of laughter then asks awkwardly “So not a night owl, got it…I just thought because you had wings and… sorry.” Serena let out a little giggle at the boy's dumb joke “It’s okay, I just get swept up when reading sometimes.” She dog ears her books page and turns her full attention to the… cute bat boy. Serena notices and anxiously fixes her hair and slightly fluffs her wings out of habit “Is there anything I can help you find?”The bat boy's eyes widen, then he stops like he’s thinking about something, then he slightly smirks, “I don’t know, maybe you can help me find a dAte………” The boy's voice cracks, almost like a screech, there is a break of silence so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Serena giggles again but stops when she can see the boy's big ears drop like a big puppy dogs, “NO NO NO I AM SORRY” she apologizes profusely, “I was not laughing at you! I am very sorry I was laughing at… ummm” she starts to ramble then trails off when she gets flustered. Serena accepts defeat that she just screwed up her chances with a guy, but the bat boy's ears perk up and he smiles. “It’s alright,” He trails off laughing a bit and scratching the back of his neck “If it makes you laugh then it must be worth it.” The two smile at each other and get kinda lost for a minute, only when Serena starts to turn redder than a tomato is when she is brought back down to reality. Serena sticks out her hand awkwardly “I am Serena!” She says almost making the boy jump back a bit, he smiles at the blonde girl and shakes her hand “I’m Victor, it is nice to meet you” the two shake hands for maybe a minute too long when the realization hits them and they both awkwardly step back. “Sooo Victor, like you are a winner?” Serena half jokes with Victor, “Huh, I guess so. Never thought about it like that before” they both laugh a little bit. Serena fixes her notes and puts her book in its ‘designated pile’ the girl turns back to the cut bat boy and smiles before covering her mouth and yawning “I am technically still on the clock, if you need something library now is the time” she takes off her glasses as she looks to the clock, 11:52pm.

Victor straightens up “Oh shit right!” His raise in volume fully wakes up Serena, “I forgot why I came here! I need these two books! If I don’t study I’m donzo’ ” He pulls up a grainy photo of two books on his small phone with a half busted screen. Serena squints at the book then her eyes light up. “Well looks like luck is on your side,” Serena reaches into her mountain of books on the table and hands one of the books to the boy. “If you give me a minute I can grab you the other one” Victor nods, as Serena gets up and walks into an aisle of tall shelves as he follows the winged girl. As Victor trails behind her he can’t help but stare at her wings, sure he has seen his wings, but these were different. They were not as big as his, and they were covered with white and orangey pink feathers, they looked so soft. Victor is so lost in his trance of staring at the girl's wings he almost runs into the back of her, thankfully he doesn’t though. He notices Serena looking up at all the books and his eyes try to follow hers but he doesn’t even really know where to start looking. There must be thousands of books in just this aisle, but like magic Serena spots the book and in one big swoop of her wings she is several feet off the ground grabbing the book. “Got itttt~” Serena sings as she glides down, though Victor is distracted because he thought he saw an angel. As Serena hands Victor the book he stumbles a bit and holds both books tightly to his chest like they would run away from him. Just staring at Serena like he was frozen in time. “Is there anything else I can get for you, Victor?” Serena asks, pausing before saying his name. The boy smokes ear to ear then smirks "Your number”

When Serena got back to her dorm room she jumped on her bed and started kicking her feet, like a 10 year old you got their first crush. She grabs onto a pillow and then looks at the number written down on a small piece of crumpled line paper, she rethinks all of what happened with Victor earlier that evening. Just then she gets a notification on her phone.

Hey, I had a crazy day today I think I saw an angel

Reading the notification makes Serena start kicking her feet again while blushing, people had called her an angel before… but this was different.

She quickly puts his name in her phone.

Serena

Omggg that’s awesome! I got to see bat man today😎

Victor

Well I guess both our days were pretty good haha

Speaking of today, I still am having trouble find something

Serena

Really? If you texted I could have grabbed it before you left:(

Victor

No no it’s okay hahaha

I was partly joking earlier but now I’m serious, I’m looking for a date for tomorrow night and I was wondering if you wanted to come with me

Serena

Wouldn’t it be super awkward if I was third wheeling😬😂
