Punch Up would definitely spar and tussle with his pokemon to train them! Coupé joins every now and again to keep both him and his mons sharp
I JUST remembered the Pokémon fanart that inspired me and convinced me (I knew deep in my heart anywats) that Waterboy would have Sobble! The person who made it is @ratsoupee , so I’m crediting them!! Cause they have some WONDERFUL ideas.
ONTO PUNCH UP
He totally DOES roughhouse, spar and tussle with them! He trains them the best he can and if they can somehow beat his ass (hard to do) he’s even MORE proud!!
And just like in that lovely fanart, I have to agree, Punch up does train his Pokémon to punch people in the balls. The Pokémon league have rule trainers can’t beat each other up but…since it’s dispatch characters too I can see it still happening.
Coupé definitely joins in too. She is VERY smart in how she fights and trains her own pokemon. Punch up focused on strength, Coupé focuses on making sure her Pokémon can dodge and not miss. It’s actually quite entertaining to watch the battles cause it is ALWAYS neck and neck. Sometimes one wins over the other and sometimes, very rarely, it ends in a tie or a draw cause the battle was taking WAY too long. Whoever wins though they don’t hand over prize money. Instead, the person who loses has to pay for dinner and drinks. After their Pokémon heal up of course.
Punch Up and Coupé also give their Pokémon supplements, candies and use items like feathers on their Pokémon to help their attributes level up (speed, sp. attack, etc).
They’re actually REALLY good Pokémon trainers. They do have quite the bond with their Pokemon and they could EASILY take on any trainer or gym by themselves, and when they work together a battle can be over in under two minutes. If they had it their way at least.
