Time continues to tick down as the students try to clear their heads through a little party. A "congratulations, we're almost out of here" sort of party. With such doom and gloom around them, happiness was bound to be a remedy, right? The remaining eight could only hope that they weren't simply wasting the time they had. If they were unable to use those three days to their advantage, it would be all over for the glimmer of hope presented to them...

And for a while, the party works. They're distracted from the despair around them, and it truly seems like no one is going to die... until a sound rings true and clear throughout the hollow cave.

BANG

It reads the following:

DURATION UNTIL PHASE THREE:

Of course, the time continues to tick down. The students appear to have around three days until the beginning of Phase Three... whatever it is.

CHAPTER SIX: CRYSTALLINE COVETOUSNESS

"Keke, that’s right… there is no c-c-culprit for this case. Haino Kaori killed herself.”

Monorat pauses for dramatic effect, even if the information had already sunken into the students’ heads. But the rat did not seem angry. It would have loved to see a flashy execution, that was definitely true. So why wasn’t it angry? That confounded the students.

"Too bad, so sad! There won’t be an e-e-execution this time. So-o-o… I thought I would make it up to you by showing you some truth. Do take it! You’ve earned it!"

He cackles, and hands out little envelopes to all the students. To those who had gotten another envelope at the time of the motive, this would be less surprising. Or, that’s what they’d think until they open them up.

What they saw… were pictures of destruction. 

"This, you b-b-bastards, is the fate of the world up above! Not so eager to go back now, huh? Kekeke!! Imagine how many lives were taken in this catastrophe! Your sweethearts, your siblings… did you really believe that they’d be safe and sound? That’s a naive little children’s dream! Oh, and the best part is, it isn’t even limited to you l-l-lot."

Monorat grins, his monocle glinting.

"Even the dead won’t be at peace, you know. Emory Manor? Probably rubble! And that pathetic runner at the bottom of the pit? As if she’d ever see her parents again. Yes, indeed, this cave is a haven compared to up there…"

But even though he says this, he scoffs at the eight. 

"You’re going to say it won’t matter, right? Keh…typical. So let’s play a game. If you can find me out by the time Phase Three begins, I’ll let you go. How’s that? The game is afoot, everyone! Kekekeke!"

"Well, then, that's quite the joy to find! Surprise, everyone! A body has been discovered!"

A certain Super High School Level Caver wandered the "streets" of an area with terrain he was already so familiar with. What he'd lost was worrying him, of course, and he wasn't sure there was a way to get that back without getting his hands stained with blood. Which was, of course, not what he wanted, thank you very much. There had been so much to think about - first CC's "public statement", and now... In contemplation, Masaru looked around to see if he could make heads or tails of things, checking certain buildings for any chance of more dropped clues. His journey eventually led him to the empty houses, where he was surprised to find one particular door locked. 

Strange, he thought. Maybe the lock was just stuck. He tried harder, to no avail. Okay, what the hell. He was certain this door wasn't locked before anyway. And the doors in the other houses were all open. His efforts turned into attempting to break the door down. Maybe someone was inside?! 

The thumps from the open entrance of the empty house attracted the attention of two other people, Toshiro and Mimi. The latter, of course, had stumbled in by chance thanks to the sound leading her way. Toshiro saw Masaru trying to break down the door, and watched with bemusement... until Monorat pushed past them.

"Okay, okay! M-m-move over! A locked room, huh?" 

With remarkable strength, Monorat broke the lock and opened the door. Mimi was the first to stumble in, tripping over the body within. ...Body? She realized it a little late. Who could this be? 

Ah, about that. Some of the freetime events took place on the character blogs, and then everyone seemed to favor MSPARP or Skype as the roleplay medium. All trials also took place on Skype.

That's the gist of it, anyhow!

Hello, everyone! With the rp drawing to a close and many fond memories coming to an end, the question has been posed: Will there be a Subterronpa 2?

The answer to this isn't exactly easy, as none of the mods of Subterronpa are interested in taking on the role of head mod by themselves. Whether or not Subterronpa 2 happens depends on whether or not people are interested in helping mod. Don't be fooled, being a mod is no easy task-- hence why the four of us need a break. I am not sure about the express feelings of the other mods, but personally, I would like to see a Subterronpa 2 and am willing to work to make that happen-- to some extent.

My favorite part of modding groups is brainstorming ideas, and I have been told I'm not that bad with sorting out interpersonal conflicts within the group when they arise. I am willing to co-mod a Subterronpa 2, but the brunt of post-making, communication between the art team/murders/executions and such would have to fall on someone else, because in my experience I have not been the best at staying on top of those things. I apologize for that. You guys all deserve the best. Which is why we're currently looking for potential new mods of a Subterronpa 2.

It is not necessary to have been in Subterronpa to be a mod of Subterronpa 2, but people who participated in Subterronpa may have a better chance at getting the position, mainly because we're familiar with them and we know what we can expect from them. It's not as easy to mod a group with complete strangers.
