I also find it amusing in Fate/ how there is exactly one fat Servant of all the ones they've done, and for some reason it's Julius Caesar. Also Sir Francis Drake as a Sexy Pirate-Lady and Jack the Killer as a generic little girl will never cease to amuse me either.

i love how fate/’s interpretations are, without fail, either “oh shit this is actually a really cool design” or “what in the world possessed you to think this was a good idea” with no middle ground

The Shutendoji that shows up in F/GO is from a specific point- there is a story in which Shutendoji disguised himself as a beautiful woman to make Sakata Kintoki fall in love with him. The design is still kind of weird and creepy, but there’s a method to the madness

Simple premise: Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” slipped from 45 to 33 rpm. Nothing more; no studio trickery, no trip hop drum breaks. The guitar lopes back in and around itself. The bass becomes elastic, hot rubber. The violin stabs become sustained cello lines. The backing choir’s split harmony rattles around, slinking ghostly into the corner.
