In our series of Finnish sayings, this is a bit of a more modern one, but it is still funny. When someone is yapping to you and you just aren't interested, you can say "Kiviäkin kiinnostaa" and hope your conversation partner doesn't maul you. It translates to "Even the rocks are intrigued", and it means "I am not interested in this at all."

Hi everyone, I could use a little help! I'm currently in school and need a couple of important textbooks I can’t afford right now. I'm going to start a Language course that I need to pass to continue my education and also be able to find a job.
I already paid for the course but don't have enough money to buy the books. The cost is 55.95e each. And they are two. I’ve set up a small GoFundMe to help cover the costs—every little bit helps!

Even if you can't donate, sharing this would mean a lot. Thank you so much ❤️

Some American/British TV series'Â Finnish names and those names translated back to English
In Finland, quite a many American/British TV series air by their original English name. Some, however are translated - sometimes literally, some times not-so-literally, usually because the literal translation would sound idiotic in Finnish. Â
The Big Bang Theory = Rillit huurussa (Glasses Fogged Up …or something similar)
Days of Our Lives = Päivien viemää (Taken Away by the Days)
Desperate Housewives = Täydelliset naiset (Perfect Women)
Friends = Frendit (Finnish slang for “friends”; actual word for “friends” is ystävät/kaverit)
How I Met Your Mother = Ensisilmäyksellä (At the First Sight)
Knight Rider = Ritari Ässä (Knight Ace)
Law & Order = Kova laki (Hard/Tough/Harsh Law)
MacGyver = Ihmemies MacGyver (Wonder Man MacGyver)
Murder, She Wrote = Murhasta tuli totta (Murder Became True)
Oz = Kylmä rinki (Cold Ring)Â
Person of Interest = Kohde (Target)
Pretty Little Liars = Valehtelevat viettelijät (Lying Seducers)
Prison Break = Pako (Escape)
Scrubs = Tuho-osasto (Destruction Department; word play for teho-osasto which means ER in Finnish)Â
Sex and the City = Sinkkuelämää (Single Life)
Sherlock = Uusi Sherlock (New Sherlock)
Six Feet Under = Mullan alla (Under Soil)
Skins = Skins - liekeissä (Skins - In Flames)
Psych = Vihjeet hukassa (Lost clues/hints)
Elementary = Holmes NYC
Star Trek: The Next Generation = Star Trek: Uusi sukupolvi (The new generation)
Taskmaster = Suurmestari (Grand Master)
The X-Files = Salaiset kansiot (Secret files/folders)

So in the Finnish language we have this word "jumalattomasti", which literally means "without a god". It's used as an expression when someone does something a lot, example: Toi on ihan jumalatomaton määrä juustoa! = That's way too much cheese!
Imagine someone just telling you that you did something like you had no god.
(Though i need to note that it's more informal/slang, but still a fun expression nonetheless :")
Edit: you can never have too much cheese. Ungodly amount of cheese are just words of a coward.
The proper translation of the Finnish word kotihiiri is homebody (or similar), but I like using the literal translation of house mouse instead because it rhymes.
Finnish sayings that work in English
Here are some sayings which work more or less directly in English and in Finnish (with a few exceptions where the translation isn't directly the same, for example "the picking raisins from the pulla" one and "pulling on the same rope").
