A family of pigs going on an adventure
my hot take is that you donât have to love being single or love being alone. if you canât spend a second in your own company thereâs a problem, but wanting love and companionship is completely normal and natural. youâre not weak or mentally unstable for feeling lonely or yearning for partnership and friendship. we do need each other, we need community, we need love, itâs part of our dna to be social creatures.

Which do you perfer cartoon dogs that wear pants but no shirt, shirt but no pants, shirt and pants, or no clothes at all.
Also sorry if this brings weirdos i just wanna know your opinion on fictional dog design
I think I've said this before, but when a cartoon animal is half-clothed, it just draws more attention to the fact that they're half-nude. Like animals don't usually wear clothes at all so it looks normal when they're completely naked, but when they're wearing ONLY a shirt or ONLY pants it just makes you aware of the fact that they're not fully clothed. It almost makes them seem more naked than if they weren't wearing anything.
But I think only pants is actually worse than only a shirt.
For example, with Winnie the Pooh here wearing only a shirt, you can still see that he's not, uh.... anatomically correct below the waistline. He has nothing to hide.
But when you see Smokey wearing only pants, it implies that there is something to hide. It's like he's covering up his lower half because he has to. If you get what I mean.
That is to say, it would be fine to see Winnie the Pooh take off his shirt, but it would definitely not be fine to see Smokey take off his pants.
With that said, I think fully clothed and fully nude are equally "safe," if that makes sense. Just a shirt isn't bad either, but just pants is inherently suggestive in my opinion. I wouldn't say any option is "better" design, it just depends what you're going for.
If you can't tell, I've thought about this a lot.
What I'm getting from this post is that Smoky there is, uhh, sexycoded
Smokey the bear is is the Forest Service's fursona
I lived and worked in a lighthouse at a previous job. There was a thick line painted in a circle around the shack where the fog signal was kept. The line represented how close you could get to the fog signal without experiencing physical harm in the form of eardrums shattering or worse.
Even in the house it was LOUD. Probably the loudest thing I have ever experienced but at a normal, predictable interval. You would begin to time your sentences with little pauses with the rest of the lighthouse crew so you would talk like this while making yourâŠâŠâŠ..HORNâŠâŠâŠâŠ. tea and then carry on talking because you knew when it would go off. It rattled the walls and the dishes in our cabinet.
At least one girl had died there. They kept photos of her everywhere âin honor of her sacrificeâ because she had decided to take the winter watch alone and died in a storm where bounders the size of mini vans had been lifted out of the ocean and left scattered across the island, to say nothing of the ice chunks. People werenât allowed to be alone on the watch after that.
One day a dead moose washed up on shore and it took my entire crew all day but we managed to rig up a line to hang it up to dry because we thought having a moose skeleton in the house would really spice the living room up a bit. It did. Weird shit happens when six of you are left alone, like ALONE ALONE, no cell reception, no wifi, just a radio to contact the real world and not a lot of reason to do that. People donât go on lighthouse jobs if they want to stay connected, Iâve found.
That said Id do it all again, I really do treasure those days
Placing these one after another makes it look like he left got a lighthouse job and came back six months later to update the drive through employee

sad to still see so many people talk about how gross signs of aging are and people aging âpoorlyâ. those are signs of a life that has continued to live and it is a blessing. age is coming for you too btw

The last play I watched before the pandemic was a Beauty And The Beast adaptation and when Gaston proposed to Belle there was this little boy in the audience who yelled NOOO DONâT SAY YES, so when Belle naturally turned him down Gaston turned to the boy with his hands on his hips and said âwell, now look what youâve doneâ Â

its kinda scary how your whole life depends on how well you do as a teenagerÂ
oh my god No it doesnât donât put this kind of pressure on people?? you can absolutely fuck up in your teen years and continue on to a good life just fine. you can drop out of school, get a GED, still go to college and finish your degree as late as you want. i know people in my school who still havenât graduated and theyâre 26. some older. you can always transfer someplace else, always build yourself up from the ground. after a certain amount of college credits, a lot of schools really donât care about your high school GED or your SAT scores anymore. if you fuck up in your teenage years you are not a failure!! you can ALWAYS re-invent yourself, always start over. there is always a second chance.
Reblogging this for my followers freaking out over art school/college. I dropped out of high school and never thought Iâd get into college as easily as I did. You will be fine!
Fun story my biology professor just told us: Â When he was 23 he was married to his wife and worked two jobs to support them since she was in college: gas station attendant and construction worker. Â He worked these two jobs because that was the only work he could get since he was at the reading level of a third grader. Â
One night he was writing something and his wife noticed he was writing from right to left. Â Since she was studying occupational therapy she realized he had a learning disability and started working with him. Â He slowly began to learn to read, and at 26 got his GED and went to college.
His first year of college he took the lowest level math course he could take, 001. Â Over the years he worked on learning what he needed to, ended up graduating with a biology degree. Â He then went on to get his masters and PhD, graduating at the top of his class. Â He is now an extremely accomplished biologist and professor.
So donât let anyone tell you that youâre future is based on your choices as a teenager.
Seriously. Â Do not believe this. Â You arenât even stuck with your choices you make in your 20s. Â I didnât start working in my current field until just after my 30th birthday. Â It has nothing to do with what I went to school for in my 20s. Â My husband has a political science degree, and heâs a sports journalist.
You are not tied to anything. Â Go. Â Be.
My day job did not exist when I was a teenager. And the idea of trying to be an author was a distant thing on my radar. I thought I was going to be an English teacher. And then I thought I was going to be a music teacher. And then I thought I was going to be a drama teacher.
Also in there: therapist, early childhood educator, then finally: web developerâbecause by then it was an actual thing that existed. I didnât actually figure out what IÂ âwanted to do when I grew upâ until about eight years ago, when I was 36. I tried pursuing writing when I was 30, stopped, then started pursuing it seriously again when I was 40.Â
There is always time to change. And donât let anyone tell you that high school is âthe best time of your lifeâ either, because thatâs bullshit too.
I was a high school drop out and didnât go to college until I was within a month of my 40th birthday. While there I changed my major twice. Then I taught art long enough to earn retirement. Before college Iâve worked in dog kennels, as a cashier, a dental assistant, a vet assistant, electronics assembly, a machinist in the military, picking up trash in a state park and as locksmith at a university. After teaching I worked night shift as a securety guard. Life is freaking adventure, not a locked grid you must move from one square to another. Take a chance, If you fail, get back up, dust yourself off and try something new.Â
Your life is not over at 25. You can continue to learn and engage with hobbies and change your life path and meet new people. Get rid of this idea that what you decide to do at 18 is gonna be what you do for life
As someone who freaks out at times about this kind of thing in my final year of university, this really helped.
