Dave is no stranger to throwing up, he took a number of hits to the stomach from Bro that were hard enough to make him puke, so the intimacy and caution with which Dirk slides his fingers down Dave's tongue until Dave is coughing and gagging and retching is a nice change of pace. And, with Dirk, Dave gets aftercare when he pukes. He never got that with Bro, but Dirk always gives him a cup of water to swish after. Dirk gets a cold compress for him to put over his eyes when they're bloodshot from the force of retching. Dirk tells him that he should wait a little to brush his teeth so the acid won't erode his enamel. Dirk makes sure that Dave gets some food and water in him after to make up for what was lost. Dirk's interest in vomit does make Dave wonder if Bro was trying to make him puke when Bro went for stomach hits though, since it's fully possible that Bro liked seeing that just as much as Dirk does.
