This piece will be displayed at Boji Gallery in Shibuya, Japan starting July 18 in their summer themed exhibition! I’m so excited to have my work displayed in an area that shaped the fashion that inspires so much of my art!

This watercolor piece was inspired by my childhood summer vacations and the colorful souvenirs I would collect! 🐠🩷

Since all of my other Reel Drama dolls have been customised to be greyscale, I knew I had to free my Cleo from her piss yellow hair and tinsel, so I chopped it off then replaced it with black saran. I did debated about adding silver tinsel to her since I do have some, but I think it just displays really poorly and I love to run my fingers through my dolls hair so I just opted for some silver saran.

As for her face, I wasn't a fan of her lips, but since I bought her from another collector, they actually carefully picked out a good placement for her eyes, and I really liked the base of it, so I opted to just overpaint her eyes and add my own spin on it.

I recently received a restoration order for the dolls. they came in this state:

they were yellow and grubby🥺 I took the glue out of their hair first. Clawdeen had a lot of it, it was a whole grind.

I started restoring the face screening

I got a result like this, it came out pretty good, i guess.

i also restored the tattoos on frankie's body.

The deyellowing left well from the body. then i tried to fix the operetta's neck... it's gone wrong, I tried a lot materials, but it didn't work lol. so i had to leave her with a broken neck.

the final result🙌 I did factory hair stylings for all the dolls. tried to lighten the frankie's hair a little, howleen struggled to style the cut hair strands.

Something to that’s not Breyer horses!? Say it ain’t so! 🤣 I don’t get out to Savers too often, so when I get to go I’m fully focused! And last week they had the usual bagged Barbie dolls, and almost no random small bags of animals! How odd! But I found a baggie with fakies and G3 Swirlypop, what a lucky find!! And then they had a few Barbies on the shelf unbagged but tagged, and I thought, this one looks sort of holiday ish! Happy Holidays Barbie 1992, with part of her saddle stand still tucked under her skirt, wow!! The dog is Cutie Pop Pets S’mores, and when they say her accessories pop out, they mean everything - including eyes. 🤣 So altogether a very successful and exiting run! Now, off to the bath! #
